Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Hype countdown

YouTube version

Kinda sad the song the title is only added finale.

what's the best way to play XB Chronicles 1? seems there's a few versions / platforms.

Definitive Edition on the Switch is the best one. Best graphic+better gameplay experience.

"Fusion arts can also be a fusion of Keves class arts and Agnus class arts. For example, Noah's class "Sword Fighter" is Keves's class, so "Master Arts" can be selected from Agnus's class. You cannot set classes in the same country."

"Interlinks can be done at any time during the battle. You can use the powerful Ouroboros Arts endlessly during the interlink, but the "heat gauge" will rise over time. It will be released when the heat gauge is accumulated, so I want to hit powerful talent arts by then!"

"If you use Fusion Arts, you can strengthen Ouroboros from 1 to 3 levels. This stage is called the interlink level, and the higher the number, the stronger it becomes. It is important to determine whether you will become Ouroboros immediately or use the power of Ouroboros with the interlink level raised and powered up!"

"You can also "switch" with your partner Ouroboros body during the interlink! For example, you can use Ouroboros Lantz's defense-centered technique and then switch to Ouroboros Sena to focus on attack. I want to switch well according to the situation!"

"You Will Know Our Names-Finale" is a song that plays when you fight a "unique monster" with two names that you rarely meet in the field. If you fight while listening to this song, you will have the courage to confront even a strong enemy!

Dayyyum you can interlink ouroboros any time and switch between ouroboros forms after interlinking too. Game is so crazy.

Since the unique monster theme in XC was "you will know our names" and the theme in XC2 was "you will recall our names" in XC3 it should have been called

"What's our name, side boss!? Say it! Say it!"
"Noah!! You're all called Noah!

XC3 could easily end up having the best combat in the series, it crazy how much option you have.

The wait is becoming painful...

Huh, Fusion arts is only between two countries, that's interesting. They really hammered in on the fusion theme.

Yeah, the Japanese reactions on the Direct said "too much info" "GOAT" "best battle system" "never stop playing" lol

They might think that way but personally nothing's too much info for me because while I love these Xenoblade battle systems, I never have a clue wtf is going on until I have it explained by some expert on youtube in their "Idiot's guide to Xenoblade." Then I'm like "wow I could have done that the whole time lol." Seems to me XC3 will be more complex even then the previous games with all the abilities like character swapping mid battle and ouroboros variations on top of everything else. Can't wait to see.

It kind of feels like XC3 has the dramatic story tone of XC1, the anime transformations/explosions of XC2, and the customization of XCX all at the same time, and it's building on each of them.

I'm having trouble translating that part. Basically what they said about the direct is that too much info that they can't process it at all. But every reactions I saw is that they excited to play it. Even a game news channel said he excited even though he didn't play the previous games.

Pre-order in Japan also rising. COMG is a gaming store in Japan. Xenoblade 3 currently in number 2 in pre-order ranking. Number 1 is Splatoon 3 (can't beat that in Japan lol)

Cool, sounds like actual fun, don't make us slog through 25-30 hours to get to all these combat features.

"Powerful enemies such as unique monsters also have an "anger" line on their HP gauge. If you go below the line, you will get angry, your attack power will increase, and you will be able to launch more powerful attacks, so be careful!"

"Leveling up usually goes up by getting "EXP" after battle, but if you choose level up at the break point, you can also level up using "Bonus EXP". It's a good idea to fill up the detours as you will accumulate when you complete quests or visit new landmarks!"

"By gaining class experience points in battle, your class rank will go up! At first, each class masters one arts, and as you increase the class rank, the arts and skills you master will increase."

Its seems leveling up works same way as XC2 also I'm loving the UI for XC3 so far, waaaay better and more slick than their pervious games.

Nice, you can also push Y to level up to max level. I wonder if you can level down like Xenoblade DE, or only can level down on new game plus like Xenoblade 2

I think they bring most of the QOL features from DE to XC3, so there is a good chance will get expert mode from the get go instead of only on NG+.

Yeah, this game is not going to exceed Xeno 2 sales.

It's definitely the last game of the Blade series.

Hopefully they use all that budget to make another Xeno series with good designed characters

It'll easily sell 400k+ units, which is more than enough to cover the budget of a title of this magnitude, with lots of recycled assets, a low-powered home platform, etc.

Xeno Blade has firmly enshrined itself as Nintendo's flagship vanilla RPG franchise, so it's not going anywhere.

Of course not, I mean plot

anime-plot-boobs.gif

It will definitely sell good enough. Though I'm not sure if Nintendo will want to keep rehashing the same idea once again.
Maybe another Xeno IP with similar gameplay + some new gimmick
I think it'll sell better than Xenoblade 2.

Using Maouyuusha for "plot" is lol

Maoyu. The hero and the demon queen works together solving economy problems. Pretty good show!
It somewhat similar to Spice and Wolf, both are much focus on its economy of the fantasy world, I enjoyed both.....and it looks we might be getting new Spice and Wolf anime.

What's the verdict on the resolution? X2 dropped down to 240p at times
No one can say until it comes out, but I predict it will be similar to XC2's blurriness. I just can't see how they can have that much crazy stuff happening on the screen like 7 party members and all those anime transformations in that huge world and not have that happen all over again. But who knows? Monolithsoft are wizards, they know the switch hardware well now, plus they've had a lot of time. Also, they clearly didn't waste XC3 development resources on making sure Definitive Edition was optimized graphically...

They also have been improving the engine like we saw with Torna and XCDE and remember when Monolith Soft was developing XC2, half of the team were helping out Nintendo with BotW development.

Also it seems the rendering for XC3 is very different than XC2 and Torna, in XC3 there is much more shadow and shading on characters compare to XC2 and Torna

The artstyle is pretty interesting. In this cutscene, Sena's eyes is like drawed by crayon

Yeah, I noticed that as well, the visual style is really not "cell shading".....

Its more like painted illustration like in their hand drawn art work.

I think thats type of visuals style they are going for with XC3.
