Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Hype countdown

Man Monolith does not miss when it comes to Xeno

I surprisingly enjoyed Sarah's reaction to Xeno 2 way more, she truly got emotional there

There is a screenshot of main menu, HOLLY this super cool design!

You can hear the music that plays on that menu screen here too, it's really good:

We got a Luxin video

This is mostly up Monolith Soft themselves, unlike in the past they have total freedom how they want to make their games.

If they are satisfied to end "Blade" series with 3rd game then they should, if not then they should continue, unlike Namco or Square, Nintendo is willing to support them in whatever games they make.

Finally, purchase assured, thanks Nintendo :D
They actually already mention in the EU website, but it's nice we got a video form!

I think it's a nice end for Klaus story arc.

X is the roman numeral for 10. They need to make 6 more direct sequels to get to 9, then release XCX definitive, then XCX sequel tying up every story thread

Just beat Xenogears. Crazy game for its time. It was interesting to see much of the DNA made it in XB1 and XB2. Looking forward to seeing if there are more in XB3.

Time to start the Xenosaga series but I doubt I'll be able to finish before XB3 comes out.

You'll be surprised that Takahashi is always trying to retell the story of Xenogears in Perfect Works. I just realized he's like Hideaki Anno with Evangelion lol.

Tantal! Tantal is my favourite location in Xenoblade 2. I love the massive snowscape spread out below the ancient city you can explore. The way the night theme is so chilled out while the day theme captures this grand sense of adventure is really awesome.

Kingdom of Tantal Night theme

There's also really strong enemies in Tantal when a spooky mist appears giving everything a green filter.

Because the music is so good, there are a bunch of interesting covers, like metal covers for the energetic day theme or piano covers for the beautiful night theme.

So yeah it's another really gorgeous Xenoblade area to explore.

I also like the reason why Tantel is a cold place, titan Genbu has a very bad blood circulation.

I like how Zeke explained it too, after Nia noticed the ether lines. And then the revelation of the real reason Genbu's ciculation is like that later on was a good twist too.

Anyway.

Just... 3 weeks to go...
Sometimes people forget that Xenoblade 2 has amazing world building, its economic, politics and even how evolution of life works in Alrest.

This does look like a good time but I've not played a single Xenoblade title. I've been looking at picking up the Definitive Edition on Switch. I've heard the story is great but is it something that a casual JRPG fan like myself will enjoy?

I want to tell you definitely yes, but the truth is I can't say for certain.

I think a casual jrpg fan will really enjoy XC1 for the world and its well told story and characters.

But you might dislike the battle system which, while great, is really obtuse and complicated. I've been advising people that they may be able to get around this by looking up guides that explain the mechanics of combat, or if you're really casual you might like referring "let's plays" to help you set up your team. Here's a "let's play" from an expert playing the original wii version of the game and explaining how things work a bit as he runs around in the field near the start of the game:

Graphics look different since it's the wii but it's the same game

Here's another video explaining combat in general:

I can't say for sure, but I think you will probably really like it and I think it is also the best entry point in the series because of how tight the narrative is and because combat only gets more deep and complex in the other games.

Xenoblade games have quite a bit of battle mechanics, some of them could be quite complex. I thoroughly enjoyed Xenoblade 1 and Definitive Edition also has quality of life improvements done for it, so I think you should be able to get through the game with relative ease. As it's my favorite RPG series right now, I say go for it.

It seems expert mode is not returning for the 3rd game, I think I might have to go with hard difficulty from get go.
I got this from reddit, they said it's from GameXplain video. most likely the same system of Xenoblade 2, only level up/down on camp/inn, but now we have level down from the get go like expert mode in Xenoblade 2.

I already sold on Xenoblade X, but this footage on the trailer what seals it. Transforming mecha is love

So I've been watching all the previews (spoilers and all) and while I'm seeing that camping footage you shared where you level with bonus exp, the commentary accompanying the footage is usually saying that you can't level down, only level up. The arrow pointing left is grayed out. This may change later but right now what I'm hearing is there may be no leveling down or it may only be in NG+ so be careful not to overlevel. Also, I'm hearing there's no quicktime button presses during combat anymore.

Huh, I kinda like the QTE moment because it keeps me focused
