Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is Releasing on July 29, 2022

Wow. Has Nintendo ever bumped up a release date like this before?? Not complaining at all. Seems like they have other plans for September....Zelda Wind Waker release? 🤔

Yeah, this is weird, especially since we now know Breath of the Wild 2 isn't coming out this holiday. Maybe a game that was originally planned for the summer has been moved to the fall? Splatoon 3, possibly?

Maybe Advance Wars is getting the September slot instead.

Holy Shit! Best news I've heard in ages, was already counting the months till September release, this is just fantastic news!

My guess is Splatoon 3, or something else, wasn't projecting to make it's summer release date and xbc3 was going to be done anyway.

Either way, the game looks great. Pretty excited to play this one, been thinking about replaying xbc2 recently.

Just clearing the path for Pokémon's domination in November.

Thank you. I was trying to remember what they had as a Holiday title, if anything announced so far. (Not that Xenoblade would have worked as a cornerstone end-of-year blockbuster... or that Switch sales need it. But with Zelda pushed back, they'd want something to wave the flag.)

Awesome, I can play this in the summer, then Forza Motorsport in the fall, then Starfield for the next 3 years after that, then my family can use a spatula to pop my corpse out of my chair into a cardboard box and toss it in the dumpster in the apartment complex across the street (AKA free funeral)

The CE is only avaliable through the Nintendo store? So, I'm going to have to buy it from ebay...

the Special edition looks a bit basic compared to the last two, more like a generic Nintendo format throw away Special Edition, for reference

That's my prior games for Switch, this one looks closer to the mass produced Wii U limited edition box style which is a shame.

Maaaan I was looking forward to a little more usless tat I will look at once and never again in the limited edition set.

Did anyone else notice in the trailer that the female looking fusions power core thing happens to be placed at their vagina...

No just me?
It's literally the same as the XC2 one, minus the CD.

Is it safe to say the development for XC3 is going smoothly? You rarely see devs bumping the release date forward, especially these days games getting delayed is expected.

Xeno and Splatoon 3 launching mid year instead of the holidays. Crazy display of power from Nintendo.
Games are less dependable on holiday releases than ever. Sony pretty much releases all their biggest games in the first 2/3rds of the year. TLOU2 and GoT came out in the same summer. BotW, Elden Ring and both Horizons came out early in the year.

The characters seem super generic this time around unlike Xenoblade X and Xenoblade 2 that was also my main issue with the original Xenoblade

Not gonna preorder this one I'll wait for more info....hope I'm wrong

Its seems like Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive edition, the 3rd game has really nice and clean UI, they finally improving in that department.

I personally dont like character models in X, to me it has same issue has Star Ocean 4 with doll like looking faces.

I much, MUCH prefer XC2&3 character designs over this.

I liked the look overall it reminded me of a less refined version of Dead or Alive 2

To me XCX models felt like all character were made through character creation.

And they had very limited facial expression, very similar to Star Ocean 4 3D models.

It just occurred to me that the DF performance test for this game will spawn a thread with 10x the participation of the actual OT for the game.

And some other forums are gonna have a field day (more like a couple years, actually) talking about Japan, character design and exposed lady bits.

Bodes well for the rest of Nintendo's 2022. Maybe their 2nd half of the year is even more packed than originally thought.

And they removed the boob slider from USA/EU making it literally unplayable.

I just saw Stealth mention this on Twitter, that Nintendo is publishing (outside of Japan) 4 possible million sellers during summer: Mario Strikers, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Splatoon 3. Now Splatoon could slip to autumn, but for now it's a summer release.

That is quite a line-up for summer, and for me there's also Live A Live remake and Klonoa collection in July. Will be a busy summer for me.

It's so weird that they are releasing it two months early. Seems to me they wanted to get it away from another unannounced release in September that might compete, maybe a Twilight Princess / Wind Waker HD Collection?

Isn't there a japanese version of this? Can't stand english voices over anime or anime-like characters.

Good for the announce btw, I'm yet to get Torna and DE (so I can play Future Connected) so I'll probably play it next year.

EDIT: Nvm I found it myself... DAMN WANT TO FCKING PLAY IT NOW!!! But... damn, I hate being out of order :(

I'm with you. English dub is always terrible.

I think there's a fair chance that Live A Live could hit 1 million too. All of Asano's other Switch games did.

They had 4 games in Summer 2019 that hit a million, so they could do it again.

This is the special edition....maybe they will have a special COLLECTORS edition :messenger_ogre:

I don't know what you're talking about they seem to have the patented Xenoblade charisma:

Anyway can't wait, I love that we've seen very little of the world can't wait to discover what crazy environments Monolith crafted this time.

That's the Xenoblade we know and love.

Loved XC2, but couldn't finish it due to the cumbersome and time consuming battle system. Everything else was great. Will probably buy this anyway. So I have the complete trilogy (haven't had time to give the first one a go yet).

Monolith Soft is one of the best Nintendo studios, imo. They delivered XCX in 2015, XC2 in 2017, Torna in 2018, XCDE in 2020, and now are delivering XC3 in 2022.

Few studios are so productive.

And if it were not enough, they even help other Nintendo studios. Helped with BotW, BotW sequel and other Nintendo games.

I personally really liked XC2 combat system a lot but the problem was the game did pretty poor job explaining combat to the player, I learn how the combat works through youtube.

But once clicked it combat felt amazing and end up playing through the game 4 times.

Monolith Soft knows not announce their game too early like often Square Enix does, they can take time developing the game and announce it when its good and ready.

I wish more devs learn from these guys.

Jesus at this fucking studio, they're easily the most productive team at Nintendo for the scale of the projects and heck, probably in top 3 even outside Nintendo for that matter.

Best purchase Nintendo ever made.
