Well I don't care.

Think whatever you want of me. I think its awful you'd think bad of someone(a stranger at that)that doesn't know 24hour time. What does it matter to you? It shouldn't!

I thought everyone knew both 12 and 24 hour time.

All of my electronics are set to 24 hours, but if I were to read the time to someone I would say it in 12 hour notations.

I hardly think bad of you.

I think it's awful that you had no idea the game is displaying a twenty four hour clock. Simple!

Damn our scoring system (full integers only). I'm torn between whether to give this a 9 or edge it over to a 10/10...Really love this to bits. Maybe I'll flip a coin (like a true professional, obviously, haha!).

It doesn't come up enough in my daily life for me to just be able to read it completely easily, but it only takes a few seconds for me to figure out the 12 hour time equivalent. It's really not prominent here outside of law enforcement or the military.

If you really think it's the best JRPG this gen - then that's 10 worthy.

Regbart is territorial I see. Standing guard against any wanton JRPG's wishing to be released within his sphere of influence.

I feel like this thread is a learning experience.

I now know a lot more about Wii functionality and worldwide use of the 24 hour clock.

This!

Also, there is a pending charge for this game on the card now. Yay! Time to ship this puppy on Monday. Would be awesome.

Obviously a 10, we need to prove that Reggie is wrong! :p

I wonder when GAME will ship. No pending charges yet.

Shouldn't be long since you're paying more?

I wonder how long it'll take to get from the UK to Texas. :p No longer than 2 weeks would be great!

Getting the collector's edition and paying a hell of a lot more, haha. Doubt that has anything to do with shipping times though. Who knows.

I'm jealous. I already have a CCPRO, but that box and posters look sweet. I just got the normal edition and free shipping for like $48!

Well on the bright side, by the sounds of it he won't be getting the posters either.

I already have 2 CCPros but I still had to get the CE, I may have a CCPro problem.

Yep, that's the common way in Europe. No one actually says it's 15:00 or 20:00 o'clock, but it's used on (digital) clocks, on TV and pretty much everywhere else where an exact measurement of time is needed. I think it's a better solution than the American am/pm differentiation. That never made much sense to me...

Since I am already talking about Europe: RPGCrazied can't read our watches, but he obviously does his best to share our mindset! ;o In most/many countries of the EU credit cards are actually frowned upon. I think the UK is the only country where credit cards are rather common.

Apparently you only get them if you actually go into GAME.

Ouch. So all you get is the box and controller? If someone already had a CCPRO, he'd be forking over $30 more for a box?

Nice box, but ouch.

Luckily I don't already own a Classic Controller so the CE is a good deal, considering I want to use one to play the game.

Buying the game (£30) + a CCPro (£15) equals the same price I'm paying for the CE, with the posters.

Yeah, for the people that don't have one already, its a good deal. Is red an exclusive color to this box, or can you buy that separate somewhere else?

Well it's a red CCPro, so... so it'd go well with the wiimote+ you get with wii party... and...

:(

I'm not too annoyed since after Ocarina of Time 3D I'm done with posters that come with games.

I will have to say, playing this game with the wiimote sucks. I've played some of the Japanese import.

Never tried it with a CCPRO. Is it better? Do you have to hold down a button to rotate the camera?

Yeah, the colour is (so far) exclusive to this bundle.

Okay, are the "Bond Talks" possible to screw up? I got "Best Answer" on my first one, should I save beforehand?

Yes, you can screw up. It can be kind of fun to see all of them (they come up with various funny scenarios) but if you want the best one for each it is best to save before hand.

Yeah the posters aren't that big of a deal for me. I needed a CC for this game and just figured I'd get it all in one go and it'd be a nice special edition version and package for a game I really want to support.

I was wondering this as well. Would be kind of lame to actually pay more for the stuff to have them be the last to ship it.

How's the manual? I know someone in this thread has it already. I miss manuals from PS2 days. I always read them in the car coming back from the store. Is it in color?

Even more than the manual... this might be the first game I want an official guidebook for since DQIX. I want art! And maps! And... pictures... of things!

I'm quite jealous that big art book EU is getting, but I'm not going to eBay it for a lot of money. :(

You can get it for a decent price from most import shops. The one I have is in Japanese, but to be quite honest there's more text in it than there is art. A good portion of the book is basically the game script etc. It was worth the price for me, but for others it may not be.

I should have probably said this part earlier but will do now.

And there goes our chance of registering on time to get the soundtrack :(
Not necessarily. Hopefully NOE remembered this time to lock registrations until the games release date (I don't think this happened with the 3DS hardware meaning the 3000 T-shirts went before the system was out).

They'll prepare charges on Tuesday and ship Wednesday. Well thats how they tend to do it for domestic orders.

Looking at my last 2 day 1 orders from them (Ace Attorney Investigations and Let's Tap) Thursday will be the ship date (sadly). I just realised this means I have to hope the first class shipping arrives by 2PM Friday (I collect my post from a mail room which is shut at weekends...I'll be less than satisfied if I have wait until Monday, as it would mean I spent more on delivery for it not to deliver...). Though I've heard first class are front of the queue so to speak so maybe there is hope. Also I have to bear in mind that Feburary 2010 was my last experience making me not really the best person to ask.

I'm expecting under two weeks, but I live in New England so it's more likely for me. :p

Kind of a dumb question but: Is there any word if it was actually translated as well? Unless I missed something it's only for the first 1,000 people to register the game, right?

If they made the effort to translate it despite it being super limited...well, I'm impressed!

We don't know yet. The offer is only for France though.

Don't forget Last Story, Pandora's Tower and of course Skyward Sword.
True, they still need to be good though. If it was on a platform I owned I'd probably pre-order it, but buying a console with demands a bit more. Though knowing myself I probably just buy it if I see it in a retail store(the wii really is pretty cheap atm). I'm not interested in the Zelda series I played OoT, oracle of seasons/ages and WW. While enjoyed all of those I'm kinda burned out from the Zelda formula.

I'm actually quite excited. It has been a long-time since I have played a non-handheld RPG.

We'll just have to see what day of the week Amazon Super-Saver delivery translates to.

At least I'll have plenty of time to find the cables to hook up the Wii.

I know this isn't really the place for it, but really, you should invest in a Wii. It's cheap at this point, and the standard line about there being "no good games" for it doesn't really hold up after several years and many great games.

Even excluding Zelda (and maybe even all first-party titles, if you don't like Nintendo games), there are a number of fantastic third-party exclusives.

I have played SMG1&2(on my nieces Wii) mind you(I really liked them, but It's not something I'd replay soon). I won't argue that the Wii doesn't have any great games. I have only so much time to play games I'd rather focus on games that greatly interest me. I got a gaming pc recently half a year ago and have decent backlog to go through. Xenoblade is making me want to buy a Wii, because it seems to be everything I want in a JRPG.

Which is fine! And $150 plus the price of new games isn't that cheap, especially when most Nintendo-developed games are still $50. I would still argue it's worth it, though.

In other news, I literally just installed the Homebrew Channel onto my Wii, and I'm about to install the other programs. For anyone looking to take the plunge, do it and follow Clipper's great guide. It was extremely easy once I stopped worrying.
