Hope it hits 60fps on the PS4 regular version...
Switch is basically a next generation Wii U 1.5Makes sense to move to Switch. Wii U is a dead platform that sold horribly anyway.
And why wouldn't they?
Like other developers they used a software hungry Wii U audience to fund their game for other platforms.
Could make people wonder if there was ever even a Wii U version running.
So ... what happens to people who only have a WiiU and are not sure WHEN they will get a switch ?
This was one the games I was looking foward to play on my Wii U.
This sucks, but I can understand their reasons. If Nintendo is not doing anything for Wii U whay should any other company care ?
The next to be cancelled it bloodstained ritual of the night, sincie is a game for 2018 is a given.
Lol funnyI doubt there were a lot people who backed the game for a WiiU version, but I think they are handling the situation very well with refunds and all.
Game's gonna be fire BTW.
Looks like digital pre-orders get the Toybox immediately. I just pre-ordered on Amazon and got nothing.
Both Xbox and PSN web stores list the Toybox as available.
Insiders have said this already happened and it's already being worked on for Switch. The next to be cancelled it bloodstained ritual of the night, sincie is a game for 2018 is a given.
Honestly the game doesn't look like something that the Wii U would fail to run. This isn't a game The Order 1886 levels of visual fidelity. And they could always tone things down and run it at sub HD to improve frame rate as needed. Most experienced devs will code their own optimisations even when working with third party engines. I think it has always been that way as Nintendo hardware tends to get poor support from third party engines.I honestly don't know why they ever said that since it was obviously being made on the PC.
The writing was on the wall from day 1 - it's a large scale Unity game. The chances of this running at a smooth frame-rate on Wii U was zero to nil. When announced, perhaps they were not yet fully aware of the issues it would present on the platform? Tough to say.
If a Wii U version was released, I doubt it would have been worth playing. Likely a very low, unstable frame-rate, lots of loading, hitching and skipping, etc. Would have been a technical mess.

True to the Tooie-experience.A working wiiu version would have ran like shit anyway.
I don't think letting down the Wii U owners means they want to piss off the rest of their backers too.I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up being a timed exclusive for Switch and releasing on launch day with the other versions following in April.
Is the pre-order bonus just the regular toybox demo or the expanded "plus" version?
Pre-order today to gain INSTANT access to the unique Toybox gameplay experience!
Yes, absolutely. Doesn't seem like it will be easy to get up and running on Switch.
Yeah I mentioned it earlier that none of the physical pre-orders on sites like Amazon detail anything about the Toy Box demo.
Is this the third confirmed Switch game? Behind Zelda and Sonic Generations 2?
It's not about the visuals, per se. I think it's the fact that it IS a Unity game, and one of a larger scale, that is the issue (or at least a good part of it).Honestly the game doesn't look like something that the Wii U would fail to run. Why would it "feel right" on a Nintendo system? That seems like a weird thing to say
Right now it looks like 30fps with dips. What's the framerate on PS4 ?
Right now it looks like 30fps with dips.
Considering they're "working closely with Nintendo" yet still commented they were only at the "looking into it" stage basically confirms to me they're gonna be a thing in January.Any chance it launches on April 11 on Switch and they just can't announce it until the Switch event?

I was hoping for 60fps like Mario Galaxy.
I think it's 1440p at 30fps or 1080p30 with slight detail enhancements. Not gonna happen with this engine, I doubt the Pro will even have a 60 fps option.
Actually, anyone know how Firewatch runs on Pro?
