You are in charge of designing the NX and launching it

Power: Lower than PS4

Controller: Standard controller no waggle no second screen junk just a well made controller with excellent battery life.

Price $199 USD with pack in game

Pitch - Account system to access Nintendo classics from NES/SNES/Gamecube/GBA/GB/GBC/DS/3DS purchases tied to account not console. Launch with Zelda, all major franchises Mario DK MarioKart Smash Metroid Animal Crossing etc etc launch within first 12 months. Call it the year of Nintendo each month gets it's own game with all the fan fair people have come to expect.

Aim this console at families but also a perfect addition to people who already have a PS4/Xbone/PC this console is an affordable way to play Nintendo games.

12 games in a year may seem like a lot, but if you consider something like Splatoon/Smash getting re-release with all DLC and Zelda being already made for NX then 9 games in a year isn't impossible.

Few will make the NX their ONLY console but why not make it the second console that EVERYONE can afford and wants to buy

no more hardware, pure subscription service. It will cost USD$60 to rent one game for 90 days. You will need to buy a $800 controller to play any games.

-The system would have DS level graphics in 4k.
-The device would be an Nvidia Shield portable that plugs into HDMI ports.
-It is shaped like a phone and has a unique touch screen made of a nice feeling material.
-The screen would be set to 2 displays if you choose. It could be a DS if you press the DS button.
There
- There would be a ton of memory to make levels the size of a globe.
- The back of the display would have a strap and lenses for VR use. You could cover the lenses with a slider case.

My vision:

1. Specs that are slightly better than PS4
2. It uses cartridges
3. There will be a separate handled unit that functions like a standard portable but uses the same cartridges. This means that NX Console and NX Mobile will use the same cartridges so that games can be playable on both systems.
4. The NX Mobile will have Wii U specs
5. The NX Mobile can be used as a controller for the NX Console.
6. The NX online infrastructure matches PSPlus and Xbox Live but will be free and without the free monthly games.
7. Nintendo digital titles from Wii U and 3DS that you purchased will be playable without an additional cost on the NX devices.
8. Virtual Console games will have added features like more save states and a Cheat Editor for HEX codes (Game Genie, GameShark, Pro Action Replay, etc..).
9. The NX online will also incorporate their own achievements system for all games.
10. Super Mario Maker, Splatoon, Super Smash Bros, and Pokken Tournament will all get ported. All DLC will be included in each page. Each game will retail at 29.99.
11. The NX Mobile will be dual-screened and compatible with 3DS and DS carts.
12. Both devices will be region free.
12. NX Console will be backwards compatible with Wii U and Wii games.

NX devices will be each $200 at retail. You can get a bundle for $350 for both devices at once. Super Mario Maker will come free of charge with each system.

The overall goal is to catch up in THIS generation as much as possible. Best way to do that is to sell a console with current specs at the cheapest rate along with providing the online necessities that gamers need today. This accomplishes both. Couple those with Nintendo's robust library of games and we got ourselves a winner.
