You have to order an absolutely absurd AAAA game - what do you tell them to make?

Red Dead Redemption 3

Edit: Oh sorry OP, you said "absurd game" so in that case I'd order Tom Hanks in The Terminal where he's stranded at JFK airport and it's an utterly extreme simulation of the entire airport up to the greatest possible detail level. You play as Tom eating leftover food and returning shopping carts for quarters to safe up money to survive. Tom's character is from Krakozhia and doesn't speak English, so you can't have meaningful conversations with anyone at the airport.

Remake Shadow Hearts 1&2 as 1 package

or

Resonance of Fate 2

or

Take that massive budget and tell Suda51 he can use it to make his next 3 games

I have to do this?
I remember a cartoon where Daffy Duck manages to lay a golden egg. It's amazing what you can do when you have a gun pointed at you.

I'm still waiting for an online VR world with nice textures and animations. None of that Meta worlds blocky blank texture stuff.

Command & Conquer 3 and picking up where Tiberian Sun Firestorm left off. No retconning of stuff from Tiberian Sun. And yes, FMV cutscenes with cool actors.
Also a Command & Conquer Renegade 2 set during Tiberian Sun, that's basically a tactics shooter where you can control your own squad. But also have big levels and vehicles, like in Halo.

Oh and Ultima X. And A GTA set in Cyberpunk by Rockstar Games. Or set in Hong Kong during the 80s with focus on melee (yes, I miss Sleeping Dogs).

Edit:
A proper Homeworld 3.
And this

You order for some studio to make it.

It's the opening scene with that egg laying. Then Daffy says "look what I got" and pulls out a case with shotgun. Industrial music starts and game begins

"All right...since we shit-canned Marathon, and we have half the folks twiddling their thumbs after finishing Intergalactic here is our next winner."
"It will be PvEvP, co-operation is heavily encouraged with spurts of player v player killing toward the end of each dungeon floor, and of course cross platform (just not xbox...just kidding BUT YOU GOTTA PAY PHIL)." The first dungeon setting is practically already set up for us and we will have at least 10 season passes worth of content."
"We will make quntillions of dollars on the initial dungeon alone...then we just do what we always do....create sub-par follow up content in dungeon worlds we create ourselves which ultimately kill the game but we already got ours!"

Titanfall 3, still has an awesome campaign like Titanfall 2 but multi-player is fortnite-ified. Bunch of cameos from other games, celebrity cameos, etc. And add tons of skins for both the pilot and titans.

Tom & Jerry GAAS mutliplayer.

Asymetric deathmatch, 4 mice against 1 cat. The mice set up traps to fuck up the cat and also have weapons like oversized baseball bats, frying pans and anvils with the ACME logo. The cat has tons of shit at his dispossal like mice traps and all kinds of dumb shit.

5 years in production, $200M budget. $80 on release, cat not included.

A State of Decay like game set in the The Walking Dead universe with the production budget of GTA VI and the animations quality of Intergalactic.

A city/area/country/planet/galaxy sim that starts like Dawn of Man and evolves more and more through time and human history, eventually leading to a Cities Skyline type game where you are in control of a whole area, moving into a Crusader Kings/Country sim type game but a more modern setup after youve finished your Skyline missions, moving onto Survivng Mars/Frostpunk in space for the Moon/Mars colonisation, paving the way for sustainable humans in space, then into Stellaris to conquer the galaxy

I would remake Beat Saber with full Path Traced 4K 120fps, but you can only play it on flat screen with analog sticks. No VR and no motion controls. It would be the worst-playing game ever.

An incredibly complex, deep, simulation where you terraform new worlds and can control all aspects of the solar system.

How big and hot the sun or suns is, where the planets are, how many moons they have, the planets compositions, etc. You can fast forward and rewind thousands of years at a time in order to see what, if any, life evolves on your planet. As life does start to develop you can go all the way down to the level of the insects or all the way back out of the atmosphere. You can see how the animals live, how weather affects them, how weather systems develop naturally, watch herds of large mammals roam across the land.

The ultimate goal is to set everything up correctly so that over time your planet develops intelligent life that then becomes sentient and intelligent enough to create a civilization.

You can watch and control the primitive intelligence from what we would typically consider cavemen all the way up to planetary explorers. At any point you can take control of the creatures and eventually the intelligent life. At that point all new gameplay systems open up where you can guide the civilization forward and out into the stars.

Sounds like Spore, but good.

Where's the absurdity in this? Sounds like 95% of games that have dialog with NPCs.

OK, slaves devs. Here are all the money in the world. Whip me up a game with the tone of New Vegas, the worldbuilding of Morrowind, the story quality of Planescape: Torment, the class/skill choices of Pathfinder, the player freedom and reactivity of Deus Ex & BG3 and top it off with RDR2 graphical fidelity. And be quick about it.

True Non-linearity

An open world game where you could actually end up in a completely different area than the next player with a completely different story, villains, cast, etc. based on your every decision. True freedom, true player-crafted story. BG3 comes close.

This video is 16 years old:

Let's. Fucking. Go!!
This is also why God is wonderful, because this could enter in Reality if approved
This is what I wanted when making this thread

Sleeping Dogs combat and setting
Yakuza Like a Dragon level of storytelling but with a dark tone
Immersive world like GTAVI
Graphical fidelity of Blood Message

Top Bottom
