A mom pimping her 12 year old daughter out to a priest and retired guy? FFS. Lock all 3 of them up and toss away the key.
All of the stigma and few of the benefits? This is what not doing it right looks like. I'm guessing Greece is currently in a place politically and economically that makes fixing this nearly impossible.I was going to say something along the lines of "If prostitution is legal there, then this shouldn't be exactly shady blah blah blah..." but it turns out that isn't the case:
from this article
I find it hard to imagine a scenario where someone could be happy if a girl offers themselves for a sandwich. Something obviously went really wrong somewhere. The first post is obviously going for the thread title. Come on, people.
selling your body for 2 euros is ridicules. I mean, I think 50 euros is ridicules too, but this is extreme
What? I think this is more about the economy more than anything. Women in Greece aren't willing to do this as a job. They are just desperate.we really need to give sex workers proper rights for fuck's sake

lol @ being more offended by my post.
How do you guys know I'm not joking? Lighten up guys, this subject is HILARIOUS.
I think he's being facetious.No it isn't.
Supply and demand + economic crisis
2 is ridiuclous, 50 is ridiculous, but to me even 10 000 is ridiculous.
I'd let someone fuck me for 10000 bucks. That's just me of course.
No it isn't.

Austerity.
Isn't 50 euro the going rate in the red light district in Amsterdam?
Greek-GAF, is it really that bad?

It's obviously an extreme outlier. You can find such cases probably in every country. I wouldn't be surprised to see reports of "parents" in other country who do the same to buy drugs, etc.
hahaha mum's pimping out their 12 year old girls to get by is fucking heeeelarious manBloody hell, come on guys lighten up.

never been with a prostitute, I wouldn't know
How about we blame a corrupt Greece rather than austerity.
Okay, but it says 17-20 aged girls, so these aren't really professional ol sex workers...Greek here. Yes and no. The article talks about sex workers so I wouldn't characterize it as a widespread phenomenon (as in, non sex workers aren't roaming the streets offering sex for sandwiches) but the standard of living has taken a nosedive, especially in big cities where massive unemployment rates have driven a lot of people to poverty and homelessness. The situation is dire, the economy is dead and there is no end in sight to the suffering.
Everyone except a small number of wealthy elites is struggling to make ends meet and if the government goes through with its plan to allow the foreclosure of families' main residences I won't be surprised to see riots in the streets. Owning a home is condidered extremely important in Greece.

He actually changed it to Greek, before it was in English. It still said Black Friday. How the fuck does this post not get banned?
(Because Google translator is not a secret code breaker)
bruhHas Μαύρη Παρασκευή gone too far?
:lolHow you probably posted that response:
How I imagined you posting that response:
One is a consequence of the other, ultimate blame for this lies with Greece.
I figured that's exactly what he did, but mods see all edits anyway. This place will turn into reddit before too long.He actually changed it to Greek, before it was in English. It still said Black Friday.
It worked for Latvia. Can someone explain to me how austerity is suppose to work? To this day, I'm still confused about and why anyone would adapt to this.
As a Greek, I haven't noticed anything like but I live in a small town just outside Thessaloniki . At least, locally (more like the area around Monastiriou road), prostitution seems the same as past years.
As for that mother-pimp, well, the movielooks a lot more realistic and relevant than ever.'Miss Violence'
This is kinda mean
I laughed, I haven't read anything other than the title though.
Seems to be inappropriate with context.
What exactly caused Greece to fall to this point?
