Ok so for $500, you can have a media device for two weeks.
Tablets and smartphones already control your tv and home theatre and work with your DVR and encrypted EPG of satellite and cable DTH platforms. The Bone's features are totally redundant since you can not control a DVR with it, where as you can with current mobile offerings.
All of the other side by side stuff is totally antithetical to how the living room is actually evolving. A tablet or smartphone is superior for browsing, playing fantasy sports, whatever while watching TV or playing games. The proportion of the population that would want to dedicate a third of their main TV screen to that shit is non-existent.
Literally the TV side of it was designed in total ignorance. Par for the course for MSFT these days.

I feel like the One is one step from being something I would buy.

I had to google Xbox Amazon Germany to figure out if you were saying that was a good price or a bad price. I guess since XBO is 499 Euros on its own, getting a PS4 with Killzone and 2 extra controllers for less is good.

2 joypads and KZ is pretty darn good for that pack in. Should have removed a pad and included PS+ imo
I didn't read that he said the Camera was better than Kinect, I read that he was saying you're getting far more here than a retail priced XBO for LESS. More for less = better value.
