ZOTAC confirms GeForce RTX 5090 with 32GB GDDR7 memory, 5080 and 5070 series listed as well

From another screenshot, we could see that ZOTAC added the "GDDR7" option in the filter menu, which now has been removed. Secondly, it also added the "32GB" memory option in the filter menu, which confirms that the RTX 5090 will indeed have 32 GB of VRAM. Both these options are now hidden from the front end.

16gb for 5080? scam. Dead in 2 years
12gb for 5070? Now that's a dead on arrival card.

and obviously there is no 18/20/22/24 options. Just 32 for 5000000 $
Yeah it's crazy they don't offer anything between the 16 and 32 range. Unless those cards will offered later.
And God i hope they'll drop 8GB, that shit would be lame as fuck

Yeah, there were rumors of 3 GB chips being available soonish to the point where they have tested a 5080 24 GB. But that's probally some ways off (and being NV it'd be an extra $200 for it over the 5080)

it was a crime they were selling 3080 with 10gb on release and I suffer because of that now.
Smart decision because that's the only thing that will force me to upgrade

The 4080 is approaching DOA. Stalker 2 is regularly hitting 15+ gb, I'm debating getting a 7900XTX

I should've sprang for the 4090 this card is such a waste

yeah. I was laughing at 3090 but it's power was in 24gb of vram, not raw performance

Seriously what is out of coming out that would get anywhere close to taxing these things, I can justify highly expensive Quadro cards for my work machines but for gaming how are these in anyway being utilized

I'm surprised you'll even bother upgrading with how little you enjoy your pc lol

Whole 4xxx range was, tbh. Really not much raw performance ahead of 3000 series and locked features behind it for an insane price jump

nVidia becoming an every-other-gen upgrade like Apple. GTX 10 series was an absolute monster performance jump, the 20x0 barely added any raster performance (in some cases worse, like for like to the 10 series) but had the RT hardware. 30x0 once again was a huge leap in overall performance, and 40x0 a minor bump with locked feature. I expect the 5000 series to immediately obsolete my 3080.

Sweet! If the 5090 is over 50% more powerful than the 4090, I might as well swap, I just hope my 850W power supply will be up to the task or powering the 5090 and 13700k :messenger_face_screaming:

I honestly don't think nvidia cares at all about vram. Their most popular class of cards is the 60 class and let's say you bought a 3060 with 8 gbs, well, you still can't upgrade the vram.

Oh you know they will. 5080 Super w/ 20GB of VRAM. 5080 Ti w/ 24GB of VRAM. etc.. etc..

This is only really true for the 4070 and below, the 4080 and 4090 were massive perf leaps above last gen, the problem was the batshit crazy pricing especially for the 4080, its an excellent, extremely efficient card (consumes FAR less power than the 3090ti while outperforming it), but the $1200 price tag was so stupid.

4080 is a 3090ti with less vram and locked features, thankfully FSR and Antilag+ is rapidly closing the gap there. But seeing modern games nearly max out my vram and causing borderline 970 issues just sucks. Hoping I can trade it local for a 7900XTX

If Nvidia adopts GDDR7 for all their models it will be a cheaper solution as it will require less chips to hit the VRAM goals 3-level PAM (GDDR7) vs. 2-level PAM (GDDR6). I could see the 24GB 5080 as the best variant. That would leave room for a 16GB 5070 and 12GB 5060 variants.

That was the reason I decided to buy an 4070 Ti Super at 16GB a month ago. Half the price, 2/3rds of the Power consumption, equal memory and like 10-20% less TFOPs? Couldn't find a single reason to buy the 5080.

A 5080 Ti Super is another story, but I couldn't wait 12-16 more months with a 4060 Ti 8GB, not to mention the 5080Ti Super is going to be like, 3 times the price of the 4070 Ti Super.

I hope they keep $699 for that.

?

4070ti/ti super was 800$ MSRP.

5070ti will be AT LEAST that.

5070ti is rumored to be about 4080 in power, so just ~16% better than 4070ti super.

Which is just sad, honestly. I'll use the time between 50XX and 60XX models to get myself new CPU, new motherboard and memory, then go for a 24GB 6070 Ti Super.
