Guy should retire.
Why? He makes a fortune to screw stuff up. Next up Activision?
Guy should retire.
Sony?
Microsoft's big mistake was that the successful launch of Kinect and subsequent software sales weren't because gamers and families loved the Kinect experience. It sold because the Xbox 360 was a success, not because Kinect was what gamers wanted. The dismal failure of Kinect on the Xbox One proved that. Instead of pushing Xbox One sales, Kinect hobbled the success of Microsoft's new console.
Dennis Dyack and Don Mattrick the ultimate team.Wow. Partner with Dyack?
Sony?
This thread is actual gold.He just defined taking the money and running.
My friend got canned by Mattrick's "right sizing" and awful company directions. I heard ol' Donny is an utter ass...so good riddance!
Need an iceberg with "bad ideas" in the middle, ha ha.
People mostly pissed at his focus away from traditional games and focusing on Kinect + downsizing.Man you guys are quick to blame Mattrick.
i read the story on how Don Mattrick came up in life and i am impressed. the man was ground floor, now he's up in the highrise ruining whoever the fuck he wants. i respect him.
I'm referring to his reign at Zynga, baby.360 is a huge crazy success story. You are not being fair to him.
Mattrick Productions presentsOff to Konami to fill the void left by Kojima
C'mon, the guy is directly responsible for how the Xbox 360 floundered in its last years and for the horrible Xbox One launch.
Silicon Knights!Quick: which gaming companies are in Canada>
Amazon.
Another genuis Bezos idea.
which company will mattrick ruin next
Mattrick joined MS in July 2007. Since the development of new software and hardware takes years, his influence could be seen only 2-3 years later. Two years after his arrival MS introduced Project Natal. The product was released in November 2010, a month after Mattrick was promoted to President of the Interactive Entertainment Business.
Coincidence? I think not.
Kickstarter for Stunts 2.Where will Donny go next?
He actually recently sold that house for $51 million http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/vancouver-mansion-sells-for-more-than-51m-1.2989272
I don't quite understand why the internet hates this guy so much.
If I were him and had the money and a house like this, I'd never work and just stay at home all day.
