Fuck the haters. TitanFall is LEGIT as fuck.

Anyone saying "COD with robots" should have a Titan dropped on them.

RadeonPro doesn't seem to work with this beta. Anyone else have that issue? I turned off the in-game V-Sync but it causes major tearing (playing on a plasma TV).

When the enemy Titan is on auto and it shoots at you, you catch the rounds and then turn to paste the pilot with them....such a great feeling.

Maby it has to do with lower end nvidia cards. I think a set of new drivers will be out before titanfall launches like always but running with a GTX780 is a difference from a GTX580.

GTX 780Ti here and no issues. Not sure if sheer horsepower is overpowering it or not though

I have noticed at times where it looks like it's getting stuttery but the fraps counter still says 60, which I found odd

Also using beta driver and artifacts are still present. Runs like shit though, so wouldn't matter if screen is clean or not.

Using a 525m btw.

I've come to the conclusion that the problem actually lies with the 500 series of card. I've got a 560ti and seeing issues, and most of the other people having issues also seem to have 500 series cards.
 
Idiots playing Objective based playlists then just running around getting kills. Yep, this game has certainly got the CoD crowds attention.

I have a GTX 570 and have had no issues. Runs everything on High with 60fps. Maybe I'm lucky?
 
Certainly a really heavily modified version of the source engine. I tried using D3DOverider for V-sync but doesn't seem to work with it. Used in game double-buffering and it's a locked 60FPS although I still feel like there are drops or stutter but can't work out why.

None the less the game is fucking great! I don't know why people complained on the player count it makes perfect sense, if it was 12v12 or more too many titans everywhere would be annoying. 6v6 just feels right for this game. Plus the AI dotted about are just canon fodder.
 
Very impressed. The game feels refreshing. A lot of different ways to play and they have only let us try a small sample size in the beta. I was hoping they would do more with the feedback triggers though.
 
Dragging ass today. Played most of the night once the servers came back online.
I've not stayed up that late for a long time playing a game.
 
Thread is massive and I couldn't find the answer in there but a quick question: Is there anyway to do matches with just bots? I know that private matches will come post-launches but I want to make sure, that you can play by yourself basically.
 
So just spent some more time with the PC version too. I have to say I'm doing better since I quit trying to wall run. They give you plenty of ways to get up to where you need just by double jumping. So that helps those of us that aren't good at the parkour stuff. So yea my opinions are improving. Granted they weren't bad to begin with lol.
 
A lot of people who simply don't understand why the bots are in the game. Respawn probably wishing they just put dumb crates there instead now.

They're stuff you mow down to get your titan faster.
In doing so you have to decide if it is worth giving away your position.

They're not there to challenge you. If they did it would break the balance of the game. If they were harder to kill you'd be that much more vulnerable to a pilot running up behind you and snapping your neck while you were distracted. It would drastically slow the pace of the game which would appear to go against everything they're trying to do with this game.

Do yourself a favor. Stop calling them bots. Call them coins or gems or mushrooms or whatever you want from whichever other games you played which had exactly the same sort of mechanic to achieve a power-up state. I can't remember anybody crying about the coins in Super Mario having bad AI.

At this point no..you only can do what your doing in the beta. Wait for full release and the update for private matches.

No. There is a tutorial which features a tiny bit of solo combat.
 
I played a couple more rounds with a 360 controller, I set the sensitivity to insane but it still feels a little sluggish to compared to mouse. I didn't do bad in the matches so there is that. After playing this a bit, I still do not understand why there have to be bots and not other real player above the 12. Maybe that is what makes the game easier and more accessible to the casuals? I have noticed a few times that if you find the spawn point for the bots you can sort of camp them as there will be several in one spot all at once.
 
Impressions from someone who's not a big COD fan, but plays FPS. XB1 version

Pros:
Fun and additive gameplay
Titans
Controls (wall running and double jumping)
Feels like COD

Cons:
Graphics. I thought I was playing on my 360!

Overall, its a solid game. I feel it was a little over hyped. Maybe cause I'm not a hardcore COD guy, but if I were, I would be totally hype for this.
 
How far have people made it in the Titan survival training? Got to the round with the Vortex shield Titans and couldn't take any of them out.
 
People must be getting better, my titan getting shredded pretty quick most matches today. No more zooming around with a sliver of health and still getting kills.

When I am in my Titan I always play it like Halo. if my shield is gone I get the fuck out of there.

It's ok I guess. Not what I was expecting, feels way to easy to kill people. Although I guess that is because the CoD/BF crowd is trying it and they are usually kinda bad at FPS's. Guess it was too much to ask to fight against CS like people.

I know why this comparison is being made (because former IW employees) but I cannot disagree more, the flow/pace of the game is very different, the jump/double jump making it easy to access places like never before, and the variety of things you are capable of doing is way different from your standard run and gun Call of Duty fare.
