I'm really loving this game. Had some crazy moments while using the Titan.
Even higher texture settings Titanfall looks a bit crappy. Its not a looker. MW2 looked crisp. This doesnt feel as crisp.Funny how a game like Crysis 3 can have some of the best textures seen ever, yet require so low VRAM due to their streaming solution.
I got a burn card to get a 3-burst version of the pistol, it's the 'RAFFICA' if you played COD of BF you know what it is.
Daaamn I wish we can have it as a permanent weapon/upgrade later on, it's so cool and fun I used only this till I died

Will we be seeing any modes that are actually interesting in the retail game, I wonder? The current ones (Last Titan Standing being a possible exception) aren't interesting at all.
I would like to have something similar to Hawken, Tribes: Vengeance, or even Monday Night Combat in which each team has a base that the other team has to infiltrate and destroy. There could be turrets around the base that some players could maintain, for example, and the Titans themselves would be just about the only things that could reasonably deal with the turrets, so players would have to devote the Titans not only to killing players on the enemy team, but also weakening the enemy base's defenses so that players and A.I. grunts alike could storm the enemy base and destroy the reactor (or whatever the main objective would be).
Currently, it feels like there are no real playstyles or roles to take up: You just spawn in, look for people to kill, and repeat until you die or the round ends. In a "base attack/defense" game mode, however, you could choose to hang back and defend your base as well as maintain base defenses, go out and actively hunt enemy players midway between the enemy base and yours (there could perhaps be a large city serving as the middle-ground), or of course focus on getting a Titan as soon as possible and sieging the enemy's defensive structures to pave the way for your teammates to rush in and win the game.

Okay so I played with the Ogre Titan. You have one dash bar. The thing moves a bit slower. It was more survivable but that wasnt enough to justify the loss of mobility. I have no idea what the special powerup is. I doubt it will change my opinion of the thing.
Yeah I dont remember what the Ogre had. I had two Ogre cards but the game crashed when I used my second one. Which is bullshit btw. Oh and the dashbar felt like it recharged slower. But that could be a placebo effect.into the trash it goes
unless there's a loadout unlockable to get extra dash bars, of course. I'm curious what the special abilities of ogre and stryder are, but if they're just a shield or speed booster then I don't see the point. Damage booster is too good.
This game is way over hyped,
It feels too much like COD, and not enough with it's own identity.

Not too bad!
Here's a bunch of various texture and highlight screenshots of the game in action. Hope my team didn't mind

I have died exactly once to a nuke and it was when I tried to dash away and a teammate was behind me in a choke point.Had a moment today where I was surrounded by four enemy titans (I was in my own). They all converged on me and took me out, I ejected and my titan exploded (I have the nuke ability) and killed all four titans at once.
It was amazing.
So funny how few people realise defending the hardpoints gives you crazy XP.
Stick a titan on guard outside the point and just sit on that sucker. Top the server every time just doing that, and its actually helpful to the team.
Huh??
I get the COD part, but you lost me on the identity part..
Thanks, gonna try that now. I usually can't stand tearing if i can avoid it in any way, but hey, nothing to lose.If you dont mind screen tearing, it runs like a dream without V Sync; on my set up anyway.
I think it's evident by now that it's not. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean that it's over hyped.
Not enough lore, or defining gameplay outside of mobility and titans to make it stand out more.
Like Loadout has the cartoony/loony toons vibe mixed with Team Fotress/ and Unreal Tourney.
When I took some screens I notice screen tearing on the X1 version:

Ive started using the electric smoke. Its like mosquito repellent. It either causes pilots to stop jumping on and shooting your brain, or they die outright.
I dont like the lockon missile because I cant spam into rooms and stuff when a pilot tries to run away. I find that much more important.

The upgrade system, point system, weapons handling feels too much like call of duty to me.
I don't think this is fair at all to say after only playing a beta with only two maps and limited modes.
