Xb1/PS4 owners, are you happy with your purchase or regret it?

I freakin love my PS4. It may be my favorite system ever owned ( in terms of looks / style / power / potential / etc. ). It is slick as hell looking either vertical or horizontal, everyone who sees it loves it, the blue / White / Red LED strip is awesome, the controller is 100x better then the DS3, the UI is slick and fast and easy to navigate, the system is sturdy but light, looks like it belongs in the center of my entertainment center, it is powerful for the price, it comes with a truckload of free ( and great ) software, etc.

Can't be more happy with the PS4. Sharing is awesome, broadcasting is awesome. All sorts of awesome. Sitting back and playing Warframe gives me such joy with the DS4.

How do you get the LED to go Red?

Very happy with the PS4, except for the lack of a blu ray remote...

The XB1 was an incredible disappointment, and I took it back within 48 hours... Wanted to like it, because I liked the 360 but I simply can't. Seems like an incredible ripoff, especially with a PS4 to compare it to

How do you decide something is a rip off in 48 hours? Seems rather absurd.

I'm loving PS4 despite the lack of 3D Blu-Ray support, and the messed up media apps (5.1 quirks, poor HDMI CEC support). A few patches and updates and we'll be golden. Hopefully we get a big update soon.

Happy with my PS4, I use it every day nearly - it was a console that needed to happen, I was getting tired of games that couldn't even maintain 30fps.

I'd honestly be happier with a PS3 right now. I've been fighting getting one because of Playstation Now. Similarly, the 360 had so much going for it and Microsoft just dropped the ball on the Xbox One. Only a few of the apps came over and they dropped virtually all of the Avatar stuff. This will change over time, but it's little things like this that frustrate and confuse people. "I used to be able to do X, but with the new one, I can't."

At this point I really can't help but be disappointed with my X1. compared top the ridiculously good first year line up of the 360 the lack of content really has me regretting jumping onto the next gen ship so early this time around. On a side note, I still play Killer Instinct almost every night after work.

100% happy with PS4.

Very fast OS, store, downloads. Love the controller. Upgraded HDD to 1TB with no issues. Native 1080p games is great as I can use my TV's resolution support as intended (Im looking at you BF4...even though you still look nice). Plays Blurays fine (with the exception of 3D which hopefully gets support soon). Love the 3.5 jack on the DS4, it perfectly works with my Headphones I use for music, which also has a built in mic that surprisingly also works on PS4.

I'm very happy with the PS4 as a hardware purchase. Great console. In terms of games, XB1 is a little more appealing for me right now, with Forza 5 and Ryse in particular. They're not great games by any means but they would've been good enough to keep me busy and have me play more than I do with the PS4 at the moment.
I don't regret the PS4 purchase at all though, buying a console is always an investment for years to come and with the PS3, Sony has proven they are capable of delivering fantastic games throughout the generation.

so great for hardware fetishists, not so great for people who want to play games on it?

some extremely easily pleased people in here.

I'm very happy with my Xbox One. I'll be equally happy with my PS4 when some of the big AAA exclusives start hitting like Second Son and The Order. Very satisfied with both of my purchases.

Extremely happy with my PS4 after being in the Xbox corner for over a decade.
I'm enjoying stuff like higher resolutions and higher player counts over last gen.
Good times!

Satisfied with my PS4. The graphical improvement is great. The UI is snappier.

I'm upset that there isn't a youtube app for it yet as i like to watch youtube on my tv, and I'm also upset at the lack of DLNA support.

I'm also concerned with the build quality. Battlefield still crashes and Need for Speed crashed the first night I played it. The bluray drive is loud as fuck. The fan revs up when I'm watching streams. I have a feeling that my ps4 wont last more than a few years.

I know the games and system features are coming, I just wish they were here now.

I'm happier than I expected to be at this point with my PS4.

As somebody who went exclusively 360 last gen, it's so cool to get a new free console game every month. And I'm honestly surprised at how many new and upcoming releases are reportedly better on PS4 in terms of frame rate and graphics.

The only hitch is the DualShock4. I don't hate it by any means, but I'm still getting used to it. I don't know if it's the material on the sticks or nearly 20 years of muscle memory using asymmetrical sticks or what, but my left thumb gets sore relatively quickly.

Sold my Xbox One after a couple weeks.

Bought a PS4, haven't looked back I love it a true gaming machine is all I wanted. The only game I miss on the bone is Killer Instinct.

How do you decide something is a rip off in 48 hours? Seems rather absurd.

I played Killer Instinct, Ryse, AC4, and Forza (borrowed the games from a friend with the exception of Killer Instinct). They just didn't do anything for me... Forza was a jaggy mess to me, Ryse was pretty but the gameplay left a LOT to be desired, and AC4 looks really bad in comparison to the game on PS4. Really bad...

I also didn't like the interface (not a fan of Metro), and the only redeeming feature was the automatic sign in with Kinect. And the blu ray playback was bad as well. I also don't have cable so the box is a ripoff to me, especially since I have the PS4

$500 is a lot, when it cannot even play games as well as PS4, or even blu ray disks. Therefore, I took it back.

I'm really enjoying my PS4 and Xbox One but it what MS will bring to the system through updates and apps that excites me more rather than games.
I want this to be like my Apple TV but far more expanded.

I believe you can use www.youtube.com/TV, though I haven't tested it (I am still using the PS3 YT app).

Very happy with the Xbox One. The UI still needs some work, and they need to get all the media apps from the 360 on there, but the games lineup has been fantastic for a launch console. Killer Instinct especially has been almost the price of admission alone.

PS4... well. I can't remember when I last turned it on. I don't have any of the multiplatform releases on either console (none of interest atm), and am not fussed with any of the PS+ offerings that I could have played on my PC but didn't. So that's basically left only Resogun, which whilst pretty decent is no Geometry Wars, so it's not carrying the console alone. I looking to try DriveClub when it hits, but other than that, there's not really anything I'm even looking forward to on the horizon (I didn't like either Infamous or Uncharted last gen). Starting to consider trading it in for a Wii U plus a couple of games.

i bought the ps4 a year too soon

Basically this...

Happy with the PS4... it certainly needs some more games, but I'm a tech junkie and like to have new hardware. The only thing I really do at the moment is watch Netflix and play KZ:SF.

I will be much happier with the system once a few more games launch and they get 3D blu-ray support patched in.

I'm more than happy with both but have to give the edge to Xbox One largely because of Dead Rising 3 and Killer Instinct from a games standpoint and the voice controls for everything else. It's a great device if you have kids.

PS4 is basically my 3rd party powerhouse at this point with Tomb Raider and AC4...really wish I didn't buy Killzone digital...

x1 and happy. the games thus far have really delivered in entertainment. KI, DR3, and forza are all really terrific. titanfall beta is awesome.

i am dissapointed with what i've seen of the graphics thus far though. i was expecting to be more wowed but instead feel like its a super charged 360. i havent played ryse yet, but just looking at killzone and infamous media makes me sad. still have hope the system will have its own truly next gen looking stuff too. quantum break should be among the first to really show that off on MS's console. yeah and i should check out ryse sometime.

I'm extremely happy with my xb1.

I bought into MS's 3 screen and a cloud deal a long time ago, and though its been mindboggling with their continued mess-ups I'm glad the foundation has been set for the most part.

Lots of improvements are needed of course, but I like what they're doing.

Not very happy with my Xbone, the UI lacks a lot of features from the 360, and the fact that its slower than PS4 is disappointing, yet I'm not getting a PS4 as I have my Gaming PC that is light years away from both of them, I just bought the Xbone to play its exclusives...

It is a brand new system dude. I am currently playing over 8 different games though, all of which I enjoy. So I will not have any sort of " drought " whatsoever at any time with this system. Each month we get something new, and soon we will be getting BETA's to enter for games like Final Fantasy 14 and Deep Down and the 2014 software is going to be hitting pretty much weekly starting in March.

My current software lineup of games I play as much as I can is ...

Res0gun, Killzone, NBA 2K14, Outlast, Don't Starve, Warframe, Blacklight Retribution, Assassins Creed 4, Knack, War Thunder on my EU account. Still want to pick up Tomb Raider, Thief looks good, never bought Rayman Legends so the PS4 version intruiges me. So yeah ... software ...

So no, it is also a fantastic system for the software lol. And will only get better from here on out.

I've been enjoying my PS4 quite a bit, and don't regret the purchase in the least. I never justify a console purchase based strictly on what games are already available, but on the assumption that a full generation of titles will amortize the cost. Even so, I've thoroughly enjoyed AC IV and Tomb Raider: DE. To a lesser extent I thought both KZ:SF and Knack were okay launch titles if nothing remarkable from a gameplay standpoint. All four of the titles hint at the capabilities of the hardware with some great material shaders and lighting, as well as geometry and texture wins. I can't imagine picking up cross-generation titles on older hardware knowing that significantly better versions exist. I'm even hesitant to pick up titles like Dark Souls 2 that don't yet have PS4 versions announced – but that seem likely to in the future. It's obvious the hardware is a dramatic step forward and I'm really looking forward to what comes out once developers have more time with it.

PS+ has been a completely unexpected bonus. Resogun and Don't Starve were a nice introduction to the service, and I've picked up a few free PS3 titles as well. Easily worth the $30 I paid during the sale period, and I wouldn't hesitate to resubscribe at full price in two years' time if I can't get any additional bargains in the interim.

Fucking love my PS4. So clean, so smooth and efficient. Whisper quiet. Awesome. I've been playing AC nonstop since last Thursday.

Got a PS4. I'm always disappointed with systems I buy at launch every time. But at least I have Resogun. I am however very pleased with the general design of the systems UI and the like. Super easy, quick, everything loads fast. The cache install system is amazing. And streaming videos really is a defining feature for me with the share button on the controller (which is why it's frustrating how wonky the feature remains).

The games I want the system for are coming later this year, and hopefully inFamous: Second Son captures my imagination where the other two have not or else it'll be a long wait until DriveClub for retail releases. Plenty of good indie stuff between then at least

Bought PS4 and couldn't be happier. Plenty to play but I find I mostly stick to BF4, although I did just finish Tomb Raider. I do wish dlna support would come soon, but I can wait.

I should of waited it a bit to be honest only cos there are no games to play on the ps4 at the moment. i know i will be happy when games start coming out tho

I've been enjoying my PS4 quite a bit. The software lineup has room to improve but I knew that would be the case buying it at launch. I really like the simplicity of the OS and the DS4 is great except for the battery life. Overall, I'm a satisfied customer. Bring on inFamous!

Got an Xbox One and very happy with it. Sure it'll be better when more games come out and party chat is smoothed out, but it's a cracking console none the less.

I'm really enjoying my PS4. Just need more games that take advantage of the hardware. The Hardware itself is awesome, the OS is ok (missing features, could be prettier, but it's fast and unobtrusive). No regrets, it's the only console I'm getting this ten and I'm happy with that choice.

Play Ryse and you'll no longer be sad.

Although I agree that Ryse is easily up there with Killzone and Infamous, I still think it has more to do with Crytek's expertise than anything else. The PS4 has been far more consistent in putting out impressive looking games than the X1, and I can only see the disparity increasing over the course of the generation. I definitely wish that the X1 was more competitive with the PS4 in terms of performance, but at the end of the day the games are what's important, even if they're not as pleasing graphically.

I love my PS4, had a blast with Resogun, don't starve and outlast. Of course I played all the major releases as well. I'm excited for infamous but I'm most excited to we what awesome things ps+ has in store. Also, recently went out and got a vita and loving it so far!

I can only comment on my PS4 now since I have my Xbox One on hold for right now but I love it. Unfortunately I don't get to spend as much time with it due to work and school, life etc but I'm satisfied.

I'm excited for all the games coming soon and super surprised a new game gets announced for it almost every other day. I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to be able to play them all lol. Other than that, I know I'm not going to be dissatisfied by the the Xbox One when I get it either.

PS4 yes! I use it a lot and I love the system.

Xbox One, less so! Its not so much the system that is the problem, its that so many of the games that I want for next-gen thus far are multiplatform and the best versions are on PS4.

I love my PS4, but I haven't experienced the benefit of 1080p on it because I play almost exclusively with remote play. That weekend when inFamous comes out though, I'm gonna be playing on the TV all the time.
