Xb1/PS4 owners, are you happy with your purchase or regret it?

I'm enjoying my PS4. I want new games but they'll come in time. I've enjoyed the PS+ freebies like Outlast and I'm still playing Don't Starve. BF 4 keeps me occupied when it comes to multiplayer and Netflix for my entertainment. I want more but I need to be patient. The next couple of years are going to be amazing.

Happy with both.

Luckily I ended up really enjoying Killzone otherwise I would have been slightly disappointed in the PS4.

Xbox One: Very satisfied so far. To be able to play a racing simulator on launch day was a huge plus. I also had a lot of fun playing Dead Rising 3 and Powerstar Golf. Now, Titanfall beta is devouring me.

I'm in love with the controller and voice command functionality. The UI could use some tweaking and the party system needs work (apparently it'll be fixed in March). I can see the $499 price tag being a barrier for most, but for me it was well worth the price of admission.

PS4: I'm not so happy with this one, mostly because it has fewer features than the Xbox One and has no games I want to play. The only games I've really played on it are the free PS Plus titles. The controller's battery life and the inability to turn it off when watching Netflix is unacceptable.

As a PlayStation fan since the 90s I feel the PS4 is the worst launch of the four consoles. Some of that has to do with me being older, but that's how I feel.

Super happy with my PS4. I normally don't preorder consoles, but I got it for a great price. It's a chore going back to last gen now.

I am happy with my PS4 purchase but unhappy with the lack of updates to improves the system. A lot of things in the PS3 are just not available in the PS4 and it's frustrating three months into the console. I would also like to know more about what's in store in terms of software for the PS4.

I just got an Xbone last week since I couldn't find a ps4. I love it so far. Killer instinct is great and I'm enjoying the titanfall beta as well.

Kinect can't understand me sometimes though :/ I need to work on enunciation.

I absolutely love when I walk by and it goes "Hi Kyzon"

No regrets yet.

Kinda neutral on my Xbone. I expected to be more impressed with the media features, but some of the codecs are spotty. Kinect initially wowed me, but it's kind of annoying now. Will likely get Titanfall for pc now that the controller support is so good, and Halo 5 is looking to miss this year so I guess I'm waiting like everyone else. If it wasn't for Halo and Gears I wouldn't keep the system.

Very happy with my ps4. Love the controller, OS, and battlefield is awesome despite the bugs. Resogun and Outlast are awesome as well. Can't wait for more games later this year.

XBOX ONE, might be regretting it. Bought it for Titanfall, I'm currently playing the beta and I suck at it. Plus all my friends are on ps4. I need to find some xbox friends, then maybe it will be cool. Is there a "Titanfall MP gamer tag swapping" type thread?
Plus the xbox voice commands are infuriating, admittedly I'm from the north east of England, so my accent might be tricky, but even my girlfriend struggles and she has has a very neutral accent.

Ps4, I love it, I know there ain't too many games, but I have got a lot of time out of killzone MP, and I can't believe the amount of hours I have put into Resogun. Love the controller, love speed of the UI, love the fact that my headset is compatable, unlike xbox one.

I wish I held out on xbox one until Quantum Break.

Not happy with Xbox One, theres nothing to play.

It's essentially a Forza Fitness Box.

Was looking forward to Titanfall, but theres no Oceanic servers which just kills the game for me.

I am enjoying my PS4. Not many exclusives worth playing at the moment.

But I bought AC4, BF4, FIFA and COD.

Got Resogun, Contrast, Don't Starve and Outlast for "free" on PS+, and they're pretty good games to be honest. In a few years PS+ will offers will be crazy, for now it's okay.

I've really been enjoying both. It's been nice kinda ping ponging back and forth. I was really surprised how much I liked dead rising 3. Between xbox exclusives and ps4 multiplat games (shadow fall was fun also) I've had a steady stream of content.

Very happy with my PS4. Love the controller and can't wait for the real blockbusters to arrive. Still have plenty of stuff to play on Vita and 3DS, so I can wait for the exclusives to come.

Pretty happy with my X1, especially with Titanfall coming in a few weeks. The DVR feature is really neat and I like being able to see clips of the games in the store. Should help a lot with blind buys now that demos are gone.

My PS4 has just been sitting there after the lackluster Killzone. There's really nothing disc wise until Infamous. I kind of knew this going in but I wish there was something other than Knack. However, I really do like how fast it boots and I plan to pick up ps plus in a bit to access Resogun/deals.

The real disappointment is that the DS4 can't stay charged worth a shit. The cable is also so small that it kind of negates me from playing while it's plugged in. It's not cool to have to leave the system on to charge the controller.

What is the point of this question ~3 months into the generation? Not a single heavy hitter is out there yet? Both of my systems are collecting dust, waiting for games but the games will come. Downloading Titanfall Beta now too. :)

PS4 is dope, since I was on uni break I sunk probably 80hrs in to 2k14 and BF4. So I gave it a serious road test and am pleased with the machines capabilities. Also really stoked with the ~free games on PS+. Only downside is the the controller thumb sticks are weak. Mine are really smooth and slippery now.

I agree with the DS4 battery life. To get past the problem I have bought a 3m micro USB.
Also, you can charge the ds4 using any microusb, so I charge one of my controllers on my mobile phone charger whilst I'm using the other.

I know we shouldn't have to do ths, but I do find the battery life is less of a problem since I started doing this.

Happy with both,

Disappointed with ps4 exclusives

Disappointed with having Kinect bundled with xone

Super happy with my PS4. Especially since I can use the controller with my PS3 too. The severe lack of games is annoying but shuffling between War Thunder and GAF is just nice. I'm sure my opinion would be a little different if I didn't get a free game every month. It keeps me turning it on. Remote Play is super nice too, since I'm mostly a Vita + Netflix dude.

PS4 - happy with all of it. Incredibly impressive console in a lot of ways

Xbox One - happy with a few of the launch games; disappointed with some. The PS4 has spoiled my enjoyment of the Xbox a little bit as it is just more refined, smoother, and visibly more powerful. But, the Xbox has the better control and the console is definitely quieter

Bought a PS4 at launch and don't regret it at all. I bought a PS3, Nintendo DS, and 3DS at launch so I was aware of the drought. I purchased it as an investment because I knew that I would buy one eventually. To be honest, this launch has been better than all of my previous ones. Played more games than either of those launches. Still pretty dry right now but FF14 and Infamous should help.

Loving my xbone.

I wish I didn't get BF4, though. That damn game is keeping me from playing anything else (at least I did finished Ryse, Dr 3 and max before started playing it)

Extremely happy with my PS4. AC black flag is a blast, and I held off on Tomb Raider last gen, so that gives me something to scratch that Uncharted itch. Plus it's a fantastic game. Once MLB 14 hits, it'll probably be all I play until fall.

I'll get an Xbone at some point, but one system plus baby due in May, one console is all I need.

Somewhere in the middle with my PS4. The games I bought were disappointing, but I don't think that can be blamed on the PS4.

Killzone was good for 2/3 of the game, but was ruined by the last third. I couldn't get into the multiplayer.

Ghosts had a good single player, but the multiplayer was just awful. I've give up on it.

Assassin's Creed 4 was good as long as I was on land. As soon as I got onto the sea and started ship battles, that's when I lost interest.

Resogun is good, and I come back to it once a month or so.

Contrast was bleh.

I have not played outlast.

Fortunately Infamous is out next month. Infamous 2 is the only game that I have ever completed 100%, so suffice to say my interest is high in second son.

I would not trade the system for an xbox one. The exclusives don't grab me, and the performance gap in third party games turns me off of the system.

My PS4 plays Netflix and collects dust. I envy Xbox One owners who can play Killer Instinct right now. =( I wish Sony had a Bloody Roar ready for launch.

I got a PS4 on launch and don't regret it despite it gathering dust since December 10th.
I knew the games I wanted to play on it were a long way off from release. I just wanted to get the purchase out the way. It's not like I would have saved any money by put the purchase off by 4-5 months.

I DO regret buying Battlefield 4 and Knack for it.

Own both. I don't regret either.

I love Killer Instinct and had a blast with Dead Rising 3. Upload studio is pretty sweet and I like the Skydrive and Skype integration.

I also thought Killzone was flawed but good and I love the mulitplayer. Resogun is my favorite launch game period. PS+ offerings are also a huge hit with me.

That said, I prefer the simplicity of the PS4. There's plenty that needs to be added feature and UI wise but I love the speed with which I'm able to do what I want and the no fuss interface is exactly what I wanted. The One is a chore to use by comparison. I dislike and avoid voice commands and the lack of DVR functionality completely kills any usefulness the TV integration has to offer. I'll take the Netflix app on the PS4, too while I'm at it.

Regardless, glad to have them both and looking forward to what they have to offer in the near future.

The controller's battery life and the inability to turn it off when watching Netflix is unacceptable.
While I agree the ability to turn off the DS4 needs to be added, you can adjust the controller to time out and turn itself off in a short amount of time (10 minutes I believe).

I'd prefer to see support for the PS3 BD remote added first. Mostly eliminates the problem.

Bloody Roar used to be awesome, but i'd be happier if soul calibur was available. I miss throwing people with astroth.

Xbox One, no regrets here. Love the tv integration. Having everything a voice command away is fantastic. Still working through all the launch games so no lack of things to play.

Dissapointed in the Xbox. It collects dust now. No game in the immediate future looks to change things. I will be getting titanfall for the PC.

I was originally disappointed in the PS4 but the stream of PSN titles and better multiplats has changed things.

I wouldn't call it regret but my PS4 has been sitting there collecting dust for some time now because the library isn't there. Like if Playstation Now launched with the PS4, hoooo boy, I wouldn't get off the freaking thing. March seems like that will change things but I'm tired of hearing about new playstation games coming out, getting hype, only to later find out that it's only coming out on the PS3. This has happened multiple times.

I just need the library to start growing and it will be fine.

Oh also for them to allow video play back of movies and music from my computer. What a dumb greedy decision that Sony made.

I am planning on getting both eventually, but I settled on getting an Xbox first (just because I could find one). I play it everyday (mostly Battlefield), but I just don't care for the system that much. Kinect, the UI, and all the other extra multimedia features just seem pointless to me. Most of my friends also went the PS4 route, which probably makes me regret it the most.

Love the PS4 so far.

I do have a few issues though in regards to the OS customisation, OS features, DS4 battery life and a few other things that aren't that important as I can't remember them off the top of my head!

Obviously the OS stuff will improve over time.

Can't wait for inFAMOUS and a PS4 version of TLoU belieevveeeeeeee 😁

I kinda miss my PS3 though, it's a weird feeling.....it's all PS+'s fault as I'm missing out on so many great games!

Not too into my ps4 just due to a lack of games I'm interested in. Killzone didn't last me as long as I'd hoped. I'm sure I'll enjoy it once there are some games though.

I did not technically purchase my PS4, so there is nothing for me to regret. But mannn. I have nothing to play, its been collecting dust for the past couple of months. Im looking forward to strider and ground zeroes....and that's about it for the upcoming months.

The X1, to me, represents a legit generational leap from the 360; the UI and services on the 360 seem archaic in comparison.

Games-wise the launch lineup of Ryse, DR3 and Killer Instinct, simply, appeared to have been made just for me.

But the elephant in the room remains: MS needs to make a compelling case for the Kinect.

Have a PS4 for a week now and have been debating on returning it. It's not that I don't like it, but it brings me less value because I have a gaming PC. If I didn't then it would be a different story.

I love my PS4 for cross gen stuff I enjoy the better visual fidelity. I think Killzone looks great mp is fun to get some game in occasionally though I haven't played as much recently. I liked Knack more than I should have maybe, it has potential in a more fleshed out sequel. Looking forward to Infamous and The Show as well as some of the upcoming multiplats and indies. I want dlna and the works, the os is quick which I love just want the stuff that's coming soon, now. I really like the ds4 as a natural progression of the dualshock which was always my preferred controller. I love share whether it's screenshots, or streaming, or posting combos from Injustice it's a great feature I miss when I turn on the PS3.

Incredibly happy with my PS4 so far. I've gotten a lot of hours out of the games I have and have barely touched the PS+ games. Starting to get the itch for a new, big title but thankfully inFamous isn't too far out.

I'm content with my PS4. Hard to enjoy it too much when the PS3 still has more functionality and the launch exclusive were mediocre besides Resogun. There is a lot I love about the system, like the speed of the UI and the layout of its functionality, party chat across PS4 and Vita, and the controller, but it needs more functionality and, of course, games. PS4 was Sony's worst first part launch lineup. It was just bad.

Hopefully by the end of the year I can say I am really happy with the system.

I'm pretty satisfied with my XB1 purchase, mainly just because Killer Instinct is just that damn good. I wouldn't really say it's a big leap in tech though, especially the UI since I still prefer the 360's interface.

I have been really happy with my Xbox One. It had the games I wanted to play at launch so I got it and it has been good since. I'm waiting for more games to come to the PS4 before I jump in on that. For all the craziness leading to launch for both, I feel like both systems are great options if you can see their value.

PS4 - No regrets, got a fair amount of games and use it daily.

Xbox One - Got one for Xmas and sold it a few weeks later. Besides Forza Motorsport 5 nothing else interested me and it was hardly being used so decided I would be better off without it.

Absolutely loving my PS4.

Bought it on release knowing full well there wouldn't be anything to play until inFamous & Driveclub hit, but I've put in over 100 hours on BF4 already. That number would be higher if I wasn't in love with ACIV: Black Flag right now. I've never bothered to get a Platinum rophy before, but I think I'm going to Platinum AC:IV before inFamous comes out.

Also knowing that The Order: 1886 comes out this Autumn, E3 will have lots of exciting new announcements, maybe a Journey port, and Uncharted already confirmed for PS4. I'm very, very satisfied.

EDIT: Oh, forgot that the FFXIV beta comes out in a week. Really hoping that game can grab me.

i love my Xbox One.
Forza, Killer Instinct, Ryse, Dead Rising 3, and Powerstar Golf are all great games. Kinect and the OS have given me zero problems. excited for Titanfall and Kinect Sports Rivals.
hope we get some good game announcements at E3. come on Banjo.... crosses fingers
