The Order: 1886 leaks - new gifs, screenshots!

This is what you get when you build a next gen game (not cross-gen) for post launch window (ample development time). Not bad for a first year... :) This is probably just the tip of the ice berg of what we will see at E3.

Not saying everyone complaining about the tps mechanics within a... Wait for it.. Tps are Xbox fans. Its just silly to complain about tps mechanics with in a tps game.
 
Not really seeing what looks so OMGZ NEXT GEN IS HERE from these pics/gifs.

I mean, it's pretty, but the visuals really don't look any better than Killzone or Ryse imo, at least from what we've seen.

The seemingly stiff aiming and the QTEs aren't really helping my excitement either.

On a side note, I'm loving the use of facial hair in this game. I want to see more styles and variations. I really want to see some massive mutton chops and a large, curly handle bar mustache here and there. I hope they go apeshit with the offbeat facial hair styles from that period. Go nuts, guys. Seriously. I'm tired of clean shaven men as far as the eye can see.

I'm preordering this game so consider me on "Team Mustache".
 
Looks stunning.

I'm a big fan of Ready at Dawn's PSP stuff, so I'm all on board with The Order, even if it didn't have the incredible visuals. Really looking forward to this one. Visually, it is definitely a major showpiece for the PS4's first year.

To be honest, the PS4's first year already has quite a few stunning games. I wasn't quite expecting games on the level of Killzone: Shadowfall, inFAMOUS: Second Son, and The Order year one.

And what is it about RAD and everything we've seen so far that makes you think they're going to just dudebro their way through the story, characters, and dialogue? Do the well groomed mustaches look especially dudebro to you?

Strangely enough Killzone is the worst looking of the bunch...how does that even happen!? Lol oh well seeing Second Son and The Order makes me believe Guerilla are going to blow our socks off when they show their next game.

Huh, all of those are unfounded worries on yourself man. The stories are completely different so I'm not even sure to that needs to be addressed. Ready at Dawn are aiming this game as very tense, cinematic, and far more mature in tone than the Gears games, and that goes for the characters too.

If you felt like the movement in TLOU was heavy, then I guess you'll think this one is heavy too. I thought the movement in the Gears games was excellent. Lastly, there will be strategy here. Certain enemies require different tactics. Honestly, and I don't mean this in a rude way, how much of the Gears games did you play? And did you play on the higher difficulties? You won't last long at all on higher difficulties playing like 'Rambo'.

If there is one thing that stands out to me, it is the atmosphere. This game is just oozing it. Fog, dim lighting, etc.

I really hope the game has a physics and materials system even better than Star Wars: The Force Unleashed with its Digital Molecular Matter engine.

LOL. I know, right. Killzone looks pretty amazing, but yeah, inFAMOUS and The Order most definitely blow it away. Which is expected, since KZ was a launch title. I think I"m just really, really impressed by Second Son, especially considering that it was initially going to be a launch title, and only slipped 4 months into quarter 1/launch window.

And yeah, GG are fucking masters at tech, so I'm sure their next title is going to be frigging ridiculous looking.

Speaking of Shadow Fall; I feel so bad for Guerrilla's release schedule. Every time they put out a game, it's the best looking on the platform for six months, and then something blows it away. Killzone 2, Uncharted 2. Killzone 3, Uncharted 3. Shadow Fall, Second Son.

Its all really just coming together just right for sony, isn't it?

Although it might just be too much to call this console the next coming of the PS2, I am becoming a believer in the thought the PS4 might be the next best thing!!!

Gears of War is trash but I have faith in RAD. I'm excited to read GAFs impressions tomorrow (on a media blackout so avoiding the trailer), the setting of this game is too good to pass up.

i am just saying that because of all the gears comparison. "this is sony's gears. ps4 finally has its gears. hopefully it's like gears."
actually, if i want to play gears so badly, i wouldn't hope for some completely unrelated game to be like gears. i will buy the xbone and wait for black tusk. to some people out there. everything that is tps and has cover is instantly gears. remember when uncharted was "sony's gears"?

the first gears. it was a video game in every sense of the word. arcade action shooter. order looks to be more like last of us than gears. i don't think it is going to be straight-up arena after arena of waves of enemies non-stop. it is action-adventure, says rad. hopefully there are puzzles and exploration aspects. gears is a different experience.

If this ends up feeling like Gears there's a possibility I will not like it. Though, if you asked me this game already blows Gears setting and aesthetic out of the water; which are two of the major reasons I just couldn't get into that series. Hopefully the game play is much less arcade-like and the enemies aren't huge meat sponges too - judging by the gifs at least the latter shouldn't be much of problem.

People are calling it a Gears clone anyway, which is alright with me because now Sony only needs a Titanfall clone and then we'll really have a thread worthy of such "concern trolling" as QA_Engineer so eloquently put it.
