So I've been doing some pvp. Every time I get someone's health low, they always estus in from of me, then I kill them. Why are people estusing right in front of their opponent? lol

Is poison the best infuse for PVP? I was thinking about keeping my blacksteel katana at +10, and going with the uchigatana at Poison + 10. I haven't done much pvp experimenting at all, but given how powerful poison effects are in the game, I was thinking it would be a good choice.
So that people stand there, annoyed and screaming "WHY ARE YOU USING YOUR ESTUS, SO UNFAIR".
Think it's in no man's wharfWhere do you get this sword ?
I love how in pvp you can get hit from like 10 feet away so it ends up just being a flailing match of who gets lucky first
This.
Which one is that? I forgot.
Sorry to ask again but, when did you try it on your female toon? The wiki says this:
"WARNING: As of patch V1.01, and calibration 1.03, using the soul vessel to change your stats has an adverse affect of defaulting back to male body if playing as female. (Gender bending coffin boat in tutorial area may fix this)"
Can you tell me if you tried using the vessel post 1.02? Thanks.
Funny thing: Glass Looking Knight is still called Mirror Knight in the spanish sub.
Anyways, I though this boss summoned other real players? Because Im sure what I got was an NPC

Sorry, but then your connection is shit. Or you are playimg from somewhere like Australia. PvP'ing and invading for the last 3 days without any lag at all.
So... are the resist skills broken?
I'm currently stuck on Myand I'm wearing the poison bite ring and every piece of armor that gives me the most additional poison resist and non of it makes poison resist go up in my character specs. I also get poisoned just as damn fast. What gives?rtha
If I were to imbue the mace with lightning, is it better to pump faith and have just enough strength for equip requirements? Or are you better off pumping both strength/faith to take advantage of the B strength scaling?I haven't found a suitable replacement yet for a str/faith build. Maybe try the Great Club?
Warping only became available in the second part of the game which itself was pretty ingenious because the new ability gave you that feeling of making progress. Great moments like that are completely missing in DS2.Couldnt you warp in Dark Souls 1 too? Using the Lordvessel. I dont think you got that item before midway through the game though, but after that, i think warping was possible. Homeward Bone was also an item in Dark Souls 1 that allows you to warp to the last bonfire you rested on.
Personally i'm really glad that they added warp from the begining in Dark Souls 2. One of the best things i like about the Souls games is the exploration, but i dont feel that need to visit the same area 10+ times with "unnecessary" running just because i want to get from one place to another.
While I get what you're saying about Blighttown, To me that experience only happened once, and the level itself was so shitty that every single subsequent playthrough I ended up using the shortcut and just skipping the majority of Blighttown. Every time. So I'd rather have a bunch of smaller areas that I don't ever get sick of to the point I have to skip them every playthrough.
I also have to disagree that there's no tense areas.I don't think warping detracts from the environment either but to each his own.No man's Wharf, Sinner's Rise, The Gutter all made me very cautious and worried about what was around the corner.
Only in NG+.
Only in NG+ apparently
Dat shit connection

That's cool, but I still don't understand how wearing a ton of resist items doesn't raise my resist. You canturn the poison off for that fight.
You have some rose tinted glasses regarding Blighttown. It took me like 200 hours to find the "real" entrance to BT. Otherwise, Blighttown takes just a few minutes to get there and runs like shit. Nothing about BT's design should be awe inspiring or replicated.Warping only became available in the second part of the game which itself was pretty ingenious because the new ability gave you that feeling of making progress. I think many of you people underestimate how much of an important part it was to be forced to backtrack in DS. Traversing the areas was actually meaningful. Eventually finding your way out of Blighttown was another one of these great moments that DS2 completely lacks. There is no tension and therefore there is also no real satisfaction when you master these levels. It's just a videogame now with standard videogame levels.
None of the levels in your spoiler was even nearly as tense as being lost in Blighttown and the like was. Bonfire warping always available and inferior level design are the reasons for that.
So i made to the boss, he's pretty easy to read except he's kicking my assthe rottenAlso for kicks i upgraded the heide's sword i got at the beginning of the game up to the maximum since i had a shit load of materials i.....wouldn't recommend it doesn't do that great fully upgraded whatever i still got enough materials to fully upgrade another weapon.
Soul Vortex is good for that, Homing Soulmass can help thing out crowds quickly, and Soul Greatsword is the best AoE sorcery. You might not be far enough along to have found those though.
I absolutely love Blighttown's design, always have ... since I made my way down there for the first time. That level is absolutely 'beautiful'. It's repulsive, disorientating and extremely atmospheric. Obviously I could do without the technical problems but Blighttown is extremely underrated as far as the design itself goes. Same with The Depths, for example. Nothing even comes close in DS2.You have some rose tinted glasses regarding Blighttown. It took me like 200 hours to find the "real" entrance to BT. I for one liked Dark Souls 1 Metroidvania feel, but a lot of people prefer Demons Souls hub world. Dark Souls 2 is a mixture of both, that actually more favors Demons Souls design.
Having warping around just cuts downtime and gets you back to where you need to be. In your mind, Dark Souls 2 should be all about back tracking and rare check points. The game gets by just fine without those.
Dat shit connection

Lol, the typical response. It's all about the number - right? Do you honestly think that there is a difference between having a 2 mb/s and a 20 mb/s connection when playing console games? For example a 1 mb/s adsl connection will give you a better ping all day long.
Only thing those speedtests are telling you are the maximal down and up rate. Yet there could be so much wrong with your connection itself.
Anyway, that's not the point. Go on twitch and browse through some streams if you think that pvp is unplayable.
You aren't supposed to tank the poison. You have to burn the windmill with a torch
edit: messed up quoting.
47ms ping is perfectly playable for online gaming, and that's not even the server I usually test it on which is Atlanta. Got 12ms on there.I get a better ping on my 3G and bandwidth hasn't been a thing since 2005.
The problem is, like many things in DS2 cross region restrictions are completely broken unless somehow Italy is the same region as Australia.
And how could it possibly take you 200 hours to find the entrance? I completed my first playthrough in 70 h without any guides and before the first patch even. It's really not that hard to figure that stuff out but it certainly was intense and full of great moments, something DS2 completely lacks for me.
Oh I know right 47ms ping is so bad, just like 12ms ping I got from atlanta. Ive been playing chivalry medieval warfare all day long, it's a first person extremely fast twitched hack and slash game and I've had no problems with it or other games Ive played today.

You really believe in those speedtest that much? Oh dear. No need to argue I guess.
Except, entering Blighttown the "right" way is the most essential and pure Dark Souls experience there is. I absolutely loved the tension and I feel sorry for anyone who missed that experience on their first playthrough.I didn't find it until like my 3rd character or NG++. Well after I had beat the game a few times.
I always used the back entrance. Didn't even know the rest of it existed as it's all optional and nothing of worth.

It's a shame people missed out on that due to following that "false" popular advice of choosing the master key for your first playthrough.
Seems like you took a really off the path route if you took the back door, or you just played with the Master Key from the start. The main entrance to Blighttown is literally right next to the area you have to run through to get the key for the door that allows you access. I honestly have no idea how anyone could miss it, unless they just ignored exploring certain areas.
I dont think the world design is related to the warping, because the Lordvessel could technically be available from the begining in Dark Souls 1 and the world design would most likely be exactly the same i think. The Lordvessel simply cuts down on running from place to place, i dont think that it affected the world design of the game. Its just the same with Dark Souls 2, in my opinion. If warping wasnt available before about halfway through in Dark Souls 2, the world design would most likely be exactly the same i think.Warping only became available in the second part of the game which itself was pretty ingenious because the new ability gave you that feeling of making progress. Great moments like that are completely missing in DS2.

There is no tension and therefore there is also no real satisfaction when you master these levels. It's just a videogame now with standard videogame levels. To be blunt: it's pretty much a disjointed mess of unrelated videogame levels, populated by even more unrelated standard fantasy bosses and NPCs.
Same here, i never found the real entrance to Blighttown either, and i feel that i explored as much as i could. If i remember correctly, checked it out Blighttown after i had beaten the game, checking Youtube on how to find the entrance. You have some rose tinted glasses regarding Blighttown. How do you get theChaos Storm spell in Iron Keep? Its in one of the chests on some lava ground. Everytime i go out there i die fast. I have used Flash Sweat, and i have rolled/destroyed the water urns on the top there. I have also used a life gem (basically everything that this video shows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=we4eeSXBKak), yet i die too fast. I can maybe get to the chest, but as soon as i get there, i'm dead. I'm also using the armor that i have available that has the highest fire protection.
