Oh I'm aware, but how many are actually keen on constant transferring of pokemon through generations using the tools except the most rabid of pokemon fans. It's a limited base for sure.

Don't worry about the loss of Water Gun. We can still learn Bubblebeam as Marill (level 21) or Azumarill (level 24). Evolution is available at level 18, mere hops away.
