I see it already mentioned, but that one cat going crazy and detailing raping another member's wife was the one that really sticks in my mind.

anyone remember the callout in the thread about walmart(?) having price issues with their online store so people were literally buying canoes and getting tvs for like 20 bucks.

in that thread someone made a list of users who were taking advantage of the situation who earlier had berated a bunch of people on food stamps for taking advantage of an issue (at walmart!) where it allowed them to get more than they usually could.

I enjoyed that serving of crow very much.
 
Anyone got a link to the AngelSoldier thread where he's outed? I think it was AngelSoldier anyway. The guy pretending to be Japanese but was found to be from America and then ended the post with a large Halo quote.

Biggest meltdown: FF13 on 360 by a country mile, although Bayonetta 2 published by Nintendo was also pretty good.

Most crow served: either predictions of Wii bombing or Heath Ledger as Joker.

Other highlights: JBaird go ly dow, Apple logo in the Steam Store and I'm sure Facebook buying out Occulus will also go down in legend.

That thread where the guy was boasting about banging a chick in a parking lot calling her "the hottest piece of ass I've had in a while". He gave away too much information and gaf found her and discovered it was a fat girl and the guy started blaming gaf for putting her info out there when it was him.
 
For my money the FF13 on x360 was one of the best meltdown threads of all time on ANY forum, not just GAF.

Some of the salty tears in that thread I can still taste to this day.
 
The meltdown that made me want to continue down the rabbit hole and sign up for GAF, the Sony E3 2013 Thread, I remember like a page of post saying, "I'm crying." Was glorious
 
Oh man, how could I forget the drama surround the Xbone and last year's E3? I can't believe that the gaming industry actually got into a situation where having to use used games as a bullet point was necessary.

Surely something must have happened.

It's... a personal meltdown, really. I'm just sick of people here keep saying that WB should can Snyder and get a better director or something. I'm his fan, and I couldn't take the negativity and all. So, yeah, I nagged a Mod to get me tis ridiculous username. Sometimes I look at it and it reminds me to not take Internet negativity so seriously like I used to. :)
 
I always liked the Backstabbo in the Cabbo. It was a thread where some British game journalist duped NeoGaffers into thinking Nintendo was throwing a party for them at E3.

Nintendo was not throwing a party for NeoGaffers at E3.

It was unfortunate some people got stuck with a sizable bartab. But the lesson to be learned here is that Nintendo does not throw or sponsor parties for NeoGaffers at E3.

IMO FFXIII going on the 360 would have had a far bigger impact if the game had turned out to be the revolutionary and genre-defining RPG everyone expected instead of, well, FFXIII
