I seriously don't get the negative rewies and the comparison to Mahouka. This protagonists are good at games, but are by no means perfect. They really have flaws, the most obvious is not being able to work with real life. I sure hope, that they are going to learn how to "play" the "game" of life and understand that it's not good to have a world work like a boardgame.

It'd be nice if it works this way, but given the history of this kind of genre, it seems unlikely. The whole point of moving social outcasts to a world where their specialized skills are highly valuable is to let them be awesome while keeping them from having to learn any lessons about living in the real world.

Talk about a manga that goes nowhere at all. Other authors have to deal with salvaging sales and editors who threaten to cancel their shit but CLAMP is all like "WE DON'T GIVE A FUCK WE'LL DO WHATEVA WE WANT".

It's not as if CLAMP haven't dealt with that before - remember, X never finished because Kadokawa thought it was getting too violent so they simply stopped writing it. It also appears that Gate 7 is currently cancelled for some reason...

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.

I'm sure Kadokawa wouldn't care now and WHERE IS THE ENDING TO X?

CLAMP is probably still bitter over that which is why they don't give a fuck anymore.

And with Dai Shogun picked up, my Wednesday slate is complete.

Thursday remains as packed as ever, but I trust that will be handled via a few announcements today.

Disclaimer: Manga reader only, everything past the chapters are from LN summaries that I've read.

Does she want his dick? Please don't tell me she does.

She's a brocon and he's a siscon.

Sorry for the bad news.

I don't care, does she call him onii-chan? Good enough if so

She calls him Nii in the manga.

Not sure about the anime or LN

She is also listed as 11 years old so yea fuck this series.

That's the thing.

While the brother may be a siscon, he refuses to do any ecchi stuff with her until she's of age.

The other girls? That's fair game.

I'm honestly surprised that CLAMP is continuing with Legal Drug now.

So maybe X has a chance someday.

THAT IS NOT HELPING THE CASE FOR THIS ANIME!

Crunchyroll got Dai-Shogun

"In the Edo Period, three black ships have come from overseas to force Japan out of its isolation. However thanks to the giant robots, Onigami, Japan has driven the ships away. The story is of a Japan that never experienced the Meiji Restoration and remained secluded from the rest of the world. The main character Keiichiro Tokugawa is an ambitious man who aims to unite Japan despite having a condition that causes him to break into hives when he touches a woman."

This may be the most anime description I have read in some time.

I knew this was not a lesson-learning anime.

If you actually want a show about magical dimension-hopping shenanigans helping a NEET learn how to live in the real world, you should watch Rozen Maiden Zuruckspulen instead.
I already did. But sadly I thought that the second part was very weak. I really liked the dolls in the first two shows, but in Zurückspulen I was more interested in the humans. Very sad that they were pushed to the side by the doll battle.

So, my next hope is "Hitsugi no Chaika", please tell me, that the show is gonna be good. Please.

Do you think that the Alice Games shenanigans actually help Jun at all? It seems to me that his work and getting involved in the play are what actually help him (specifically since he's basically "rejoined the real world" to an extent by the time the series starts) rather than the fairly superfluous doll fights.

(you can tell which bit of the series I enjoyed more, can't you?)

Well, the late-game stuff doesn't really help him. But find the doll parts and building the doll helps make him more confident, and taking care of Shinku forces him to get out of his shell and go outside for reasons besides work or school. In fact, Jun wouldn't have met Saito at the home goods store or joined her theater group if he didn't have to go out and buy things for Shinku.

In another sense, being useful in the Alice Game gives him concrete proof that he's not useless or powerless, and that his choices can change people's lives.

I'm with you on which part of the series I enjoyed more, though.

No Game No Life
Its an interesting concept/story. The characters are cute-as-hell, and the Art Style is really good and fits its Fantasy setting all too well. This will probably be the show I'll be looking forward to every Wednesday.

Madoka 9
Thoughts during episode:

- Man.... this sucks. This whole show is messed up in the head.
- You really want me to like Sakura huh?
- The faces! Noooo! (I will never let this go now)
- Homura knows what's up.
- This OP is so deceiving.
- Dat symbolism on that light poll. Geez.
- Wow. That was cold Homura.
- She has quite the dramatic turn though. She's got that down.
- Why do you even talk to that thing Madoka?
- Wow. These things are completely heartless.
- Man Sakura is quite the hopeful one. Your intent on making me like her aren't you show?
- Dang it. Alright I forgive Sakura for her earlier transgressions. I like her now.
- This seems so futile. This idea was never going to work. Even I know that.
- Whaaaaaaaaaaat?
- Whoa. What a manipulative little prick. One track mind. Seriously
F the cat.
- Hey! What happened to the old ED. I want that back.

(Don't know if you guys are noticing but these points are what I write down as I progress through an episode. I literally have note app open while the show is playing and I'll write stuff down as it's playing. So that way you get my immediate unfiltered thoughts.)
