Meet the Fantastic Four

I thought that Fox had to begin principal photography before the end of the year or they would lose the FF rights.

I thought it was 7 years since the last movie came out this movie has to be in production. FF:RotSS came out June 15th 2007, so they have a few more months to start production.

It's not really 7 years to the day. Elektra came out January 2005 but Fox didn't have to give up the Daredevil rights until October 2012.

I'm not really sure how they determine the cut-off point, maybe there's some more formal post-release endpoint that they begin counting down from.

Forgot Kate Mara was in this

Daredevil got two extensions, but I think you're right that the contracts aren't as simple as "7 years to the day".

a little birdy is telling me that the film crew (mostly costume designers) are working or have an office right near where we work.

im not confirming/denying that they'll be filming here for several months.

don't care for the reboot without alba and evan's body

waiting for anna kendrick to grace Louisiana again when Pitch Perfect films this summer

GAF is looking to you to be the true hero and sabotage this abomination of a film.

I'm not really disputing the talent of the actors. it's the general direction of the movie

instead of casting older thesps, with gravitas and screen presence. they've cast child actors

reed richards isn't spiderman

Actors in their 20s/30s can't have screen presence? This is some weird, reverse-ageism. With the exception of Reed, none of these characters really warrant middle-aged portrayals or stand to benefit from older actors vs. younger ones.

Saw that interview a few days ago on YouTube. She knows nothing about the character aside from being "different" than what we are used to. So much faith in the script ;-;

So they don't have costumes, a script, nor have they even started filming.

Guys, I am starting to believe there won't be a post credit tease attached to DoFP.

Not sure about you guys, but I know the first word that comes to my mind when I think about what would make a great Fantastic Four movie is "grounded". Lol.

They're really just rushing to keep the rights aren't they?

Basically. If it's a huge trainwreck I wonder if Marvel has the legal power to stop it. Don't they still need to approve certain things since they still have their name attached to it, and it's ultimately their property? A fucking shitty FF movie damages the image of the comics as well.

Is it bad that I kind of hope that a legal bloodbath ensues over this film? Fox needs to lose their licensees ASAP

If that was the case they would have sued Fox years ago.

I would be extremely surprised if the movie actually starts filming this month. I think it's still entirely possible this project is going to blow up and the rights will revert.

Hahaha that was the part that made me laugh the most. A grounded Fantastic Four is EXACTLY what the world wants.
