The development of this project has been difficult from day one so I don't really see why Fox would choose to get rid of Trank now with pre production presumably well under way.
If anything I think that tensions might be running high behind the scenes (if the troubled script development has been anything to go by) and maybe Bleeding Cool are getting a sense of that from a source.
But as far as scrapping the whole thing goes I just can't see how Fox could do that at this 'late stage' at spin it in a positive way especially as the clock is ticking on their hold on the FF theatrical rights.

The BC rumor that Fox is claiming is fals isn't the first rumor regarding FF and even DoFP they claimed were false till information came out.
They have been denying all the rumors. That end up true.
Also the director's twitter disappearred about last week as well.

Your answer reads like "The bullshit that's been denied that isn't true is probably true but I don't actually know one way or the other because nobody seems to know anything about the movie other than people they don't like are in it and someone they don't like is making it."

Maybe. Or maybe he just got sick of twitter right around the time he had to start making a movie. Or maybe Fox was like "We don't trust your ass talking directly to the public, so shitcan your twitter."
Sometimes people do just bail off of twitter, though. There were conspiracies about Pablo Hidalgo of Lucasfilm shitcanning his twitter - but it turns out he just didn't like twitter all that much.

The casting of Jordan as Johnny Storm was revealed six to eight months ago but denied.

They even got the dude from OINGO BOINGO to do the music are you fucking serious? OINGO FUCKING BOINGO. Doing the BATMAN movie. Who wouldn't love it if all you got all day was people yelling at you that you don't care about their favorite comic, that you + Fox are killing the FF all over again, you should sell to Marvel, give the project to a director who cares, dodging rumors that he quit/Fox shitcanned him, etc, etc.

But it works considering they're using a version of the FF that's supposed to be really young.

if it were a marvel film no one would care, well unless people wanted MBJ to play some other character he'd then be stuck as Johnny . The problem is that the Marvel U was built thru the FF4 comics legendary run so many other aspects, races and characters aren't available to the wider MCU.

In case you think Fox is likely to give up the FF rights, they've already dated the sequel for July 2017. This is on top of The Wolverine 2 and an untitled 2018 Marvel film, which could be the X-Men vs. FF film.

Gotta say that's some odd casting AND NO I DON'T CARE THAT JOHNNY STORM IS BLACK. Since anyone questioning the casting gets that thrown in their face. I'll give them a chance though. I enjoyed the original for what they were (the first movie more so). So it'll be interesting to see how this is handled.

I'm not really excited about this FF movie, the last two had potential; but led to disappointments so I won't be watching this. The casting is not ideal and the team being young as they are does not interest me.
I may pick this movie up when it hits $5 at walmart (or just catch it on netflix whichever comes first).

The guy they have picked for thing is a terrible choice also.
I thought that Fox had to begin principal photography before the end of the year or they would lose the FF rights.
By September/October, I think. But it's a moot point because they start shooting in the next couple weeks.
