Generally speaking, most people claim RSE (and especially Emerald) to be the best games in the series. Personally, Gen 3 was when a lot of people seemed to drop out of the franchise (around the time it was "uncool" to like Pokemon, and those that stuck with the series were rewarded in a sense with one of the best games.

Pokemon Z and or X^2/Y^2 for late 2015 is what I'm expecting. Might be the last mainline Pokemon game for 3DS before the new handheld.

Heart Gold/Souls Silver have an item that changed all the music to the original. They could easily do the same with this.

I didn't really care for Sapphire when it came out, I was really excited to get it but it's the only Pokemon I never finished and burned me out so much I never picked up FireRed or LeafGreen.

Hoping I can finally come around with these remakes and enjoy Hoenn.

Also, with these out of the way it'll pave the path for Diamond/Pearl remakes.

Sounds like these are sequels, not remakes.

Had a feeling they'd do that. You can still transfer Gen III Pokemon up to X&Y, so this is the only way to get around it that makes sense...
