Forgive me for my lack of Pokemon knowledge but wasn't this generation Ruby & Sapphire & Platinum?
Gen 3 was Ruby & Sapphire, followed by Emerald on Game Boy Advance.Forgive me for my lack of Pokemon knowledge but wasn't this generation Ruby & Sapphire & Platinum?
I only played Platinum.
So if I played this remake would I be getting less game play?

I've skipped this and Black/White so I'll catch Omega/Alpha when they arrive.
Are black/white good Pokemon games? I think I need to get one of them.
Yellow was also my first Pokemon game. Ruby was when I fell in love with the series as a kid. Still love it.Yellow mightve been the first game from the Pokemon franchise I played, and my 2nd major game overall, but damnitt Im a gen 3 kid through and through

Yeah but Pokemon games usually do that. Like the Gary/Blue/Green reference in X/Y.All the guys that are surprised with this announcement, did you play X or Y?
There were a lot of hints that we were going to have a 3rd gen remake as the next installment, it was only a matter of being this year or 2015.
MMM this isn't an Emerald remake. Do you know what that means?
Welcome back champion.
The announcement wasn't surprising in the least but there were tons of references to every gen/region in X/Y so I'd hardly consider that as evidence. All the guys that are surprised with this announcement, did you play X or Y?

I hope we can catch Jirachi this time.
Also, imagine traveling to the moon on the Mosdeep space shuttle to catch Deoxys :O
I was told to find a wish tag and bring it to the white rock there. Thanks to GameFAQs, I thought that was possible and spent precious hours of my life trying to achieve it.
I was told to find a wish tag and bring it to the white rock there.
I was then told to wait for the 100th successful launch.

I was told to wait until the rocket scientist said that there had been 100 successful launches and then I'd go to space. 100 came and went. "No no, it's 150. No, 200..." I think at 250 I started to lose hope.I was told by my friend that you had to beat the E4 100 times and then click on the white rock and Jirachi would appear
I stopped at like #25
ALL STAND READY FOR THE GLORIOUS RETURN OF THE MACH BIKE
It'd be really cool if you get some kind of bonus item or whatever for transferring a Pokemon all the way from original R/S into OR/AS.
You'ld be dead by the time the entire process was finished. No point.
have fun feebas hunting in 3D![]()
These have to be sequels. The cover art depictions are mega evolutions. They have to be. Think about it. The regular way they look is already in x and y correct? Why go through the trouble of making them look different and making a new model when they already made them. The answer is that these are mega evolutions. Megas aren't in hoenn. This has to take place in the future. Near xy timeline. Probably after xy. Mega evolutions being in the original story is lazy writing. They would have to timeskip after you beat elite 4 to have it make sense in original story. I bet my avatar that these are sequels and not remakes.
I know it's the anime, but Pokemon The Origin retroactively added Mega evolutions to the time of FRLG. Mega Evolutions being added retroactively doesn't really bug me, since they're a game feature. Hope they wait till the post game for them to be available, though, since they broke X and Y by having you be one of the only trainers who could use them.

The alternate explanation is that they're form changes, which don't have to be in sequels (Pokemon Platinum). This makes sense when you consider that the only unknown Mega in XY is Lati@s, the mega stone for which could easily be given out as a tie-in for the remakes. It was also never confirmed that FRLG and RSE happened at the same time. These have to be sequels. The cover art depictions are mega evolutions. They have to be. Think about it. They're significantly different from the originals. Considering we have form changes like Shaymin and Megas like Kangaskhan, I wouldn't say that you can judge if it's a mega or a form based on how different it looks.Or they can just add Mega Evolutions and call it a day. It doesn't have to make sense to the original's story.
Also, if those are the Mega Evos on the cover, then they got lazy.
The announcement was made only yesterday, so we were unable to include them in the supplementary document for this financial briefing, but the latest installments from the Pokémon franchise, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will be released globally for Nintendo 3DS in November this year. They are full-remakes of the Game Boy Advance Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire games, which sold more than 5.44 million units in Japan and more than 16.22 million units worldwide.
Not everyone thinks these games are the worst in series.Perfect timing to cover up their "We aren't going to make a political message, by making a political message by not including gays."
Also, I've heard many people say this is the worst game in the main Pokemon series, so why are people so excited? I'm sad about no DLC for XY.
YES!
Awww, that sucks. No new Megas then I guess.http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/library/events/140508/index.html
So remakes, not sequels.
