I was enjoying this trailer until I got to this moment. Then my face got slapped by a giant grin that stayed there until it wrapped.

Can't wait for this movie :)

I don't care for Army Hammer, but the dude isn't even 30 and only has one flop to his credit and it reflects worse on Johnny Depp.

Plus dat oil money.
 
Looks cheesy and not in a good way either but I will definitely be there on opening weekend and probably enjoy it anyways.

you mean that small division of SHIELD that was shown briefly in the avengers flick but in the comics they're an entirely seperate entity from SHIELD and is run by Abigail Brand who has a rivalry with Maria Hill and is currently with Hank McCoy a.k.a. Beast?

THAT SWORD?? oh well color me spoiled.
 
Still dislike their interpretation of drax. He's too big, slow looking, and looks too much like a meat head.

But the rest looks amazing.

Also I hope there's a sequel and Cosmo finally joins. The true GotG superstar.
 
I wonder if Cammi is going to be in this anywhere. Maybe that'll be the name of the flower girl? Would be a nice nod to the comics.
 
This movie just feels generally goofy. I'm there day one, but the more I see of it, the more I think that Marvel is about to have its first flop.

I love everything about the feel they are going for. I hope though that the narrative and characterizations hold up a solid plot though.

It'll do fine. It most likely won't be some huge hit or anything but it'll make enough to probably justify a sequel. I'm guessing between 300 million - 500 million. Maybe more if they advertise an exclusive sneak peak at Avengers 2 or something like that.
 
If you had told me 10 years ago that Glenn Close would be in a movie with Drax The Destoryer I would have told you to stop smoking crack.

No shit. I meant why Ronan. He's Ronan in name only, from what we've seen so far. He's Kree, he's got the hammer, and it kind of ends there.

If he does a face turn at the end then yeah, that's Ronan, but so far? Nah. Plus he sticks out way more because all the other characters seem spot-on.

You do know Ronan was a badguy up until Annihilation? So for about 98% of his history.
