The Bodybuilding Misc is incredibly toxic. The men are mean spirited towards women, but equally so to each other. Which is a little strange because some of the other forums there are great. The relationship forum, Female Misc, Over 35, those are all good. As for assisting the guy, the only way I could see it happening is with some good male role models. But I mean the guy got a gun and went on a shooting spree. Most people don't even think that way, let alone actually go and do it. I dunno if that's stoppable, but I'm no profressional.

Would have not done anything. I honestly believe this dude didn't know what he wanted. Even if he did, it would have been on a plane of perfection unreachable by any human. If he had cheap sex, he'd be angry he didn't have love. If he had love, he'd be angry his lover wasn't as sweet, kind, loyal, etc. as some other guy's girlfriend. And so on. There was very little on the planet that could have satisfied him for long.

I believe this to be true. I am naturally a shy and quiet person and picked up that maybe some people were a little creeped out by my quietness. Maybe they wonder what is going on in my head? Well I know for a fact that's what they wondered because I often got that question. I have to force myself to be outgoing so that I can not only enjoy social situations more but also so that others won't think I'm strange and maybe they can enjoy my company as well. I think I'll always be fighting the shy side of me but being outgoing has gotten much easier over the years.

Shyness is often misinterpreted as rudeness. It's unfortunate because not only does the shy person struggle to connect to people but they sometimes get seen as aloof assholes and treated like shit because of it. Some people are so self centered that they take it as a personal insult when someones quiet around them.

This might even be what could have pushed him over the edge...falling out with his parents, which he would perceive as another part of "him vs the world" and meaning that he alienated absolutely everyone with nobody left to turn to.

If the police didn't take the signs seriously enough that might have been a serious error in judgment on their part. But seriously what could they have done? Lock him up in a mental hospital because of a few videos?

Would have been an absolutely toxic relationship. Pretty much impossible to make anything good with someone who barely views you as a human being, and I can't imagine any woman being with him unless she had some troubling views herself.

I've always thought of this as good advice.

The problem is a lot of guys desire a certain type of woman (the media and caring too much about what others think plays a huge role in this shit) and the cute nerdy girl doesn't fit the mold.

I have two friends who don't get laid and they both desire women I know are faaaaar out of their league. They want pro league girls and are barely even good enough to fuck with the ones in the minor leagues. It's so bizarre to me. They've set up this "idea" of what kind of girl they SHOULD have and they don't give any of the other girls they CAN get a chance, and their dicks stay dry because of it.
