I think Beasts Souls is used because we know Project Dark became Dark Souls, and so people who might not know what Project Beast is will know it's similar to a Souls game from the suffix.
I really didn't like the name Bloodborne when I first saw it, but it's growing on me.
And unrelated, Fable 2 was the only half decent Fable game, even then it's really like a 5/10ish.

Obviously I'm not him but I can answer.
Dark Souls 2 is larger, has far more weapon and gear variety, richer and more fleshed out gameplay mechanics, more multiplayer options and slightly more fantastical setting which comes down to personal preference.
I'd put Demon's slightly ahead of DS2 but I can also see why someone would like Dark Souls 2 better. People who call it crap are just plain wrong.
For me Dark Souls is the pinnacle of the series and it's somewhere between those two when it comes to the mood and the game mechanics.
I third this, having eagerly dumped days worth of hours into beating the first two, also. I still haven't finished DaS2. Every time I try, my taste rebels.

I must be sleepy. I meant "... I enjoyed DS2 more, out of the three."
I have never ran out the timer in the memories. How is that even possible, is my question. They are so small, what were you doing in it? And I thought going into the past was super fun, fighting beings during the great war was cool. Also, optional. You only ever have to beat the Giant Lord to progress. And it's pretty clear the King's Ring takes you to new areas (Aldia's Keep, and the giant door in Drangleic Castle. Everyone's general consensus (even people who aren't that fond of it) agree DS2 has a better second half than DS1, did. It may be just you on this.
I can certainly appreciate that, but the mechanics of that game (and the series) are so weak. I can't enjoy it. The fact they actively get worse as games go on is just so bizarre to me. Fable 3 was so not good.

That's the most badass insta-day 1 purchasable names you could round up, actually.
I beat them all, over 100 hours on each, and have used 4 or 6 builds through each. They are all great games.
Das2 is best at online and they smoothed out some features like weapon upgrades and kept the lore in tact. I love that. It's still my least favorite because I found the world the least intense or interesting, and the bosses are easy to the point of damaging my fun.
I see why people might like it best, is a fine game. I like the first two. Really really excited about Beast.

Can I ask why? They report them as rumours and they go out of their way to state you should take them with a grain of salt. It's not an article that suggests you take it seriously, it's just fun information.

If the article was titled 'Sony employee does impressive hype video that contains easter egg to potential E3 reveals', it might had been remotely acceptable. Just barely.
The title is pure yellow journalism, and the fact that the article was grounded on fun-hearted speculation from GAFers as well makes it worse. If another insider at least chipped in to say 'yep, there's 5' then there's at least something, but no, we're just having fun.

What's out of order about pointing out the fact that the guy lurks GAF and writes articles about any theory that might get him some clicks? Other sites will write about the leak, only Dual Shockers, GamePur and Gaming Bolt will actually try to pass off commentary of a late night brainstorming session on GAF as an example of games journalism.
If there's actually a vote for banning sites, I'll gladly raise my hand for any of those three.

Random forum discussion shouldn't be news. Something like when it was reported Demonnite giving hints to a possible demon souls spinoff. That's cool and makes sense it's a tease/insider info.
I agree but not everything on the internet needs to be reported.
What if instead this was reported instead. Can you see the issue here?-

It's not about keeping the 'fun' here. I have no issue with DS reporting on thuway, Tidux, shinobi or whoever's tweets. I have no issue with DemonNite's old post history being tracked back to verify the 'Beast' leaks.
It's about 'easter egg' being morphed into '5 megatons teased' based off forum discussion. I feel that it's somewhat disingenuous.
It's nothing to do with having a God complex, DemonNite has expressed concerns about how widespread his teasing has drifted in the past. He'll just stop doing it altogether places continue to cover these little treats.
It's nothing to do with excluding non-GAFfers.

But Dualshockers hasn't reported that have they. They've reported the general consensus of opinion and framed it as a 'rumour'. Come on now, I know for certain that there are lots of things that Abriael could report but doesn't. Other sites MAY report it in more 'certain' terms but Dualshockers doesn't.
People are free to lurk all they want. What's wrong about this situation and others like it is when people do nothing but report on what they see posted on GAF and Twitter, then call themselves journalists and act like they're anything more than go-betweens.
Edit: We're probably not going to agree on this, so let's leave it as is. No need to derail the thread any more than we already have. We're all here for a reason, and it isn't to argue about something that isn't nearly as interesting as the thread topic.
People are going to speculate and create widespread rumors regardless. But because Abriael/Dualshockers does it, it's tooooooooootally wrong, right? Because it's in a "news article"? Sounds more like you guys just want to hate something, even if it's in good fun or joy for gaming.

If Dualshockers was comprised of twitter rumours only then yes, perhaps you could accuse them of not being 'journalists' but they don't, they bring lots of interesting news from Japan and other places other sites don't. It's just stepped up recently because E3 is on the horizon.
edit: Ok, let's agree to disagree and move on. I just don't like it when people I consider a friend are attacked personally.

Yeah I was so hyped to get the 1st Fable game after all my friend told me it was great, and then...
The entire trilogy is so weak mechanically, the storylines (what is there) are weak, and so is the character interaction. I personally have it as my most overrated game series in the last 20 years or so.
