OT - Is demon souls generally harder than dark souls? Only just stated dark souls a month ago and man it has been challenging and fun was just wondering because I want to get a PS3 soon.

I think Beasts Souls is used because we know Project Dark became Dark Souls, and so people who might not know what Project Beast is will know it's similar to a Souls game from the suffix.

ah yes, I had forgotten about Project Dark, so now I see how Beasts Souls makes sense.
I just don't like it though, it's hard to say and I'd prefer Beast's Souls anyway. I'll use it from now on though for the sake of clarity

I ran out of time plenty of times in those memories.
It happens when the whole series before that point punishes you for playing hastily and demands a lot of attention to details from you, and then flips those cards suddenly for no good reason.

However i like the general idea of exploring other times, that was cool.

The standard is post verified, independently collaborated news, not speculation about vague teases. DualShockers isn't inline for a Pulitzer obviously, but just the veil of integrity would be just swell.

I do think Demon's is harder, albeit shorter. Especially without a guide its hard to know what you have to do. And there are no real save spots. You have to redo a whole stage if you die at the boss. Usually there is a shortcut you can open but not always. Hard as fuck enemies also respawn if you die, while they never return in Dark Souls.

Demon's Souls has some non-respawning enemies, and there are only two or three levels without shortcuts I think.

C'mon man, learn to channel your inner masochist. One of the greatest elements of the game is the feeling of reward you get from playing with very little safety net.

Best part of this was doing 4-1 after the initial miniboss, wondering if you could break the level wide open by making an absurdly crazy jump, sticking the jump, and getting to the boss ASAP. Of course 4-1 was a great place all around. 'Dat scimitar.

Looool I did most of the time I only really started doing it when I got to Sen's fortress. The rest I lived in that fear and terror in finding some super powerful enemy that will kill me in one or two hits and my next turn. That's why am looking forward to playing it on X360 so much
