Grand Theft Auto V - Coming for PS4, Xbox One and PC this Fall - Trailer

My guess is that they just decided to hold heists back (as well as possible SP DLC) for the release of this.

Glad it's finally official. I look forward to replaying it when I build my PC, as long as it isn't gimped like GTA IV.

Why would they hold it back? Why not include it in the game comes release, it would attract even more people who played the game already.

They can't possibly fuck up the heist situation twice right?

Look forward to seeing all the PC mods from the sidelines.

You know what rocks about this?

Remote play.

Well finally, they sure took their sweet time. PC version should be awesome with this extra time. Modding will be quite something.

Does the camera controls support inverted X and Y axis in this game? It is show stopper for me if not. I heard it only had it for Y.

Maybe PC version will allow it in mod.

So other than 1080p, what else has changed?

Just from looking at it - I could swear they have improved textures and some additional foliage detail (the grass looks better and the way the plants/trees move/sway seems new or improved). Also, the lighting and weather seem upped a notch too. But again, I think much of this could simply be that everything is clearer in higher resolution.

Surprised a lot of people held off buying for the sake of next gen versions. I think this is one of the few games that can be really enjoyable the second time around with such huge enhancements such as this. I'm looking forward to seeing how different everything is and appreciating the extra power.

There's a description from Rockstar posted on page 5 or 6 of enhancements. More traffic, more PEDs, better draw distance, higher res texture, more foliage, better trees, etc. You can tell from the video.. The scene of Franklin walking through grove street has way more people than usual in the game.

That said resolution and frame rate have not been confirmed. Honestly.. I'd be very surprised if it was 1080p/60fps on either console.

I think its more likely that heists will come in the late summer delayrd from the announced spring date and that the single player DLC will come in the fall along with this game on current gen consoles.

Draw distance looks better and the density of pedestrians and traffic looks a lot higher.

I'm also guessing the framerate will be better. Was somewhat inconsistent on PS3/360.

Anyone know if it will be cross gen play? Not sure if I want to make the jump if that means I have to leave my friends/family.
Very unlikely that you'll be able to play ps4 and ps3 or xb1 and 360. I'd go as far to say that its definitely not happening but who knows maybe Rockstar does something unprecedented for a major game... Very Doubtful.

Will stats be transferred?

No intention of starting GTA Online again. If not I won't even consider double dipping

Graphical improvements look way substantial than I expected. I thought it would be a quick and dirty 1080p port.

Yes, they definitely upgraded the graphics. This game wont ran a 60 frames on the PS4 and i`m cool with that: give me 1080p and a steady 30 frames per second without tearing and better textures upclose then i`m happy.

Remote play.

Never understood the appeal of remote play on such a small screen with shitty controls. Just why? Can you even see the proper HUD in GTA on that screen? I played Assassins and Rivals when they came out. Never ever tried playing for the second time.

It's hard to see the graphical differences in these trailers..
Because didn't the original trailers look pretty similar? Do we think the previous trailers were perhaps made on PC or PS4 specs?

I know the game on ps3/360 looks nothing like the trailer, but wasn't that always the case with the trailers?

If you played the game it's instantly clear, especially foliage, draw distance, amount of stuff on screen . The previous trailors were made on last gen consoles or similarly specced Dev kits. The only questionable one was the original reveal trailor as the game was definitely dialed back a notch from that one
Guys this looks better than Watchdogs.

Yep... 4 months is definitely enough time to spend in Chicago. Welcome back to Los Santos.

I like playing in bed, and sometimes my living room TV isn't available.

The OLED screen is also really, really nice to look at, and I suppose I just really like to feel of the Vita in my hands, too. It made getting the inFamous platinum that much easier.

It's not that small. And the controls aren't shitty, thanks tho!

Why the hate?

Some people love it and some people don't, simple as that.

GAH!

It's real. Like, it's really finally happening. I never doubted it, but this announcement was just too sweet.

It was like looking at the game again for the first time. *sigh*

It's just so... beautiful.

That must be what I'm remembering.

Yeah, this looks a lot like that initial trailer from what I can remember.

I want to know if we'll be getting new story DLC. Maybe too good to be true, but would love to see it bundled with the next gen versions.

This still looks degrees better, but the original trailors still looked awesome. Rockstar always makes awesome looking trailors. When I'm on a a computer i might try to find similar shots and match them
