Let's talk about this quote for a second.

Konami's ToraShiro said the effect when you get hit is NOT blood, i'm sure everyone thought it was but it's not. So what does that mean? are we just in someones VR (Virtual Reality) mission reliving Big Boss memory or what?

I find this very important and i believe there is more to it.

Another thing i want to point out is this stuff.

Could it be some kind of DNA sequence?

Some people think it's just a lens flare effect and even Kojima said it when the interviewer asked but i think he's lying and there is more to it. Those orange lines seems to happen everytime some electronic device or some tech get's used.

Remember in this interview with Game Trailers at E3 2013 the very last question GT asks Kojima at around 4:17.

and Kojima's response was this:

Call me fucking crazy but i think there is more to this. It's not just a simple lens flare effect. Especially after Konami confirming when you get hit it's film burn and NOT blood.

actually it could be part of the film real

If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.
It's a completely different video! Time of day is different (no orange color filter LOL) and Sean's narration is also different.

Oh and i highly recommend watching it in 1080p, it's looks amazing. So much better than the stream rip off.

game looks great (gameplay wise), I had fun with the main mission in GZ.

The graphics look bad though and what is up with the pop in? This should have been a next gen only game

OMG KONAMI, THANK YOU!!!

gameplay video with better quality and no Kojima talking at the beginning!

blech, the youtube compression takes away all the vibrant sharpness of the image unless there's no movement on screen.

but yeah, it is a new video entirely. the new video is set roughly an hour later than the stream video judging from the time on the idroid right before big boss sets out. hopefully torashiro can swing a full 1080p 60fps version for gamersyde. i know it's easier to track metrics with youtube and facebook, but they sacrifice so much image quality that you just end up not presenting the game in the most positive light.

I always thought that effect looked like film feed holes/barcodes

Gotta admit, man. I am much more optimistic that this game sees an early-mid 2015 release after seeing that footage yesterday. It still carries that classic Metal Gear polish and attention to detail that I've come to expect from the series; I love it.
LOL JK "VACINITY" PRE ORDER CANCELED
Here's hoping we see more footage (trailer or gameplay) at Gamescom and TGS. :)

lmao, who made this? I want to shake the person's hand!

Ha! A guy over at MGSForums linked us to this Facebook profile!

Man, it would be awesome if you could put enemies in a vehicle and Fulton them all at the same time.

To be honest, I think I've seen more than enough. I haven't seen the release date however.. :D

Something I noticed, it seems that a full day cycle lasts 24 mins. If you check the portion when he is using the idroid at around 10:53 mark of the video, it looks like each second is a game minute, so that makes 1 minute for each in game hour, thus 24 mins for 1 full day cycle.

Now that mission has 3 in game days time limit, which equals to 1 hour and 12 mins in real life terms to complete it.

. How much does a full day cycle lasts in GTAV or Watchdogs? Seems kinda fast here in MGSV. But I guess that could change

Actually, 24 in-game hours is equivalent to 6 real-life hours. :) Source: Metal Gear Informer via KP Alert!

Well, judging by GZ it takes about 5 minutes to complete a mission. Kojima said it was 200 times larger... so that's 1,000 minutes of gameplay which works out as... let's see... 16-17 hours. THEY PLAYED US LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE!

Didn't Kojibro say the map was 200 times the size?

Sooo, is this base building negating going lethal to a degree? If you need to recruit so many guys for your base to be viable, I'm wondering how the game handles you going ham on a base or entire level. I'm assuming it just always sets you up with the minimal amount to get by.
Anybody? Any word from someone official on if it's actually mandatory to Fulton guys?

the gameplay video contradicts that however, as we can see the time ticking in real time on the idroid screen where one second is one in-game minute.

I saw the clock. I think it was representing 24 hours, however. Note that in the 1080p video, you can see an option to upgrade the Phantom Cigar via Mother Base staff. ;-)

DONT JOKE ABOUT WHAT KOJIMA-SAMA SAYS!!!

So much this.
XD

Ah nice to know, much appreciated for the info! Good news :)

The demo definitely contradicts that, but perhaps its just a setting for the demo so as to show of sandstorms and full day cycles etc. Fro presentation purposes.

Don't mention it! And yeah, could be. Who knows? Hard to say. I guess if nothing else, you could always just sit there until the sun rises! :p

So in some respects is it fair to say that you'd be battling on two front, firstly in the main areas like Afghanistan, etc. but also watching out for any attacks on Mother Base? I know the footage at the end showed a part especially created for the demonstration, but I get the impression that you have to manage the battle both "at home" and in the war zone so to speak...though not at the same time..

GTAV's day cycle is 48 minutes, half as fast as TPP. I agree with you, TPP's time-of-day should be slowed down quite a bit, I'd like to see it as high as 72 minutes since there's a way to speed it up.
