Brazil is one seriously mediocre team going by their historical standards. I don't think they have any chance at winning this tournament with the level of play they've been showing.

Yeah, they've not impressed me at all so far.

The game against Chile will be a good 'un.

while I agree with you with what I seen so far, Brazil usually starts to shine in the second round of the tournament, so maybe it's a little early to judge.

Also, the coach reminds me of :

Well the article did over-simplify the goalies role, but you can't argue those statistics. Goalies stop more goals when they just stand still in the centre than they do diving left or right.

Goalies stop more penalty kicks, there's a (big) difference

Agreed.

They're saying here we have indeed three Super-Heroes in the team: Hulk, Neymar and Fred (the Invisible Man), though only one is effective.

Yeah, Neymar is the only "star" they've got. The rest...meh. Look at their 2002 team: Cafú, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaká, Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo, Gilberto Silva... The days of Brazil being stupid good are gone.

Ok let's try again:

EDIT: I suck at this :(

Here's in motion! (they're both gorgeous!)

EDIT2: For the life of me I can't embed this Vine :(

Could someone help a brother out? I'm bringing hot chicks to GAF!

lmao that's great

I don't think you can embed them though? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
But I'm always so positive, I'm just bad at showing it.

Maybe you'll be better after tomorrow. ;)

So to everyone who thinks Brazil is not looking that strong this year: which teams do you think have a legitimate chance to beat them?

In order of strength:
Netherlands
France
Germany

Those three have what it takes to wreck Brasil if they get the chance. I almost chose to put Germany on second, but they still have to show me consistency, because that match against Ghana was weak to me. France instead had strong matches all around, alongside with Netherlands (even though some might say that the Australia match was kinda eh, but I disagree).

Until now I didn't watch the European championships, so to me Netherlands and France coming this strong are a suprise. I expected more from Germany and Italy.

Idk I still think France have yet to be really tested, but they are looking good.

netherlands

argentina
belgium
france

all have very well balanced squads with two or three world class talents on top of that.

then you have sides like Chile and Uruguay, who don't have a deep talent pool, but are organized, and tactically set up well to compensate for their weaknesses and maximize their stars' ability. they could easily pose Brazil huge problems.
