While Brazil looks good, I think the loss of Neymar is really going to hurt them against Germany. I'm hoping it's going to be a great match.

Everyone is going to be motivated right now though but Germany is now a favorable winner now but even with Neymar they were favored.

You know you cant expect people to understand that language. What is that!???

I think it's funny. If you can't figure it out then type the words into google translate.

There are some phrases that are meant to be serious but jokeful and this is one of them but as serious as the paper is, it makes me laugh for them to put that on the paper.

So how is Costa Rica taking the loss? How's the media and and the fans reacting to the defeat?

Costa Ricans are immune to defeat. We're partying as if we had won; I heard people still cheering, singing the national anthem and cars honking hours after we'd lost. We'll receive the team as heroes on Tuesday the second they step out of the plane. It's the first time in history we make it past the round of 16 and after years of dreaming it's as if we'd won the cup. My Facebook is flooded with posts about being proud of our team and how well everyone did.

We're called the happiest country in the world for a reason :) no need to worry about us.

That teams like the Netherlands and Belgium are bringing guys like Krul and Lakiku off the damn bench just tells the US (and other emerging countries) how far they have to go lol

Well that's good. Still kinda disappointed that you didn't make the last 4. I love seeing underdogs go far (I.E. Turkey 2008). Hope you enjoy the party.

BTW Holland mind If I join your wagon? Germany winning would be boring and Brazil/Argentina not impressing me.

Jesus, Mexicans being salty about Robben has definitely got to stop. It happened like a week ago, get over it. Shit is still all over my facebook.

And no, Ochoa isn't better than Howard, Navas, or any other keeper in the final 8 teams left in the World Cup.

Just tired of the salty tears, dammit.

Algerians havent forgiven Germany since 1982 you expect this to be forgotten soon ? For many this is their passion

We have surprisingly decent good record against Argentina. Old stats don't really mean anything though. We haven't played against each other in a while.
Yeah i mean Dutch are supposed to be very bad at penalties and look how they played today...

The people thinking that Brazil are underdogs were also sure that Colombia would easily beat them.

Brazil is Brazil.
Lets not act like the first three BRA played were nothing like their game in the first half and on the flip side first three COL games were awesome on their part.

Like always, it's easy to look at things in vacuum.

Pretty happy with my predictions or leanings in the elite 8. Got everything on except Colombia but that was more of a long shot and I knew if Brazil played their best game then Colombia would be exposed and they were.

The best part about it is that the teams which were being questioned really stepped it up. It's like going through those tough and grind out games really helped get those type of games out of these teams systems and now we will see a better product on the field with 4 of the best and most polished teams at play minus a few injuries. And Silva out lol

I heard on TV that Neymar did a live interview for Brazilian TV and he was tearing up. I can't imagine what the media has been like over there. Must be nuts.

That's a pretty accurate description :). It would have been cool (for us obviously) if we had gotten further, but we're fine.

Also, like I said earlier, whatevs if we bored or annoyed some neutral people, we're happy with the result.

The team that played better won, the end.

The goal keeper switch by the Dutch was fuckin genius wow. I'm definitely supporting them the Oranje to win this since they are the only team in the semis to have not won yet.

LOL, I totally forgot about that offside. I was more pissed about Aguirre refusing to play Chicharito at his best and sticking to fucking Franco instead.

Just like I'm still shaking my head at subbing Gio and parking the bus at the 60th minute. That might've worked with fucking America Piojo, but it wasn't going to do against Holland. I still love you man, but that was dumb.

Oh well.

People still salty about this elimination are the ones that probably watch Televisa and Azteca all day long because probably that's the only thing they talk about. I'm already over it if I'm being honest.

Navas was so, so impressive.

For 10 million, hes a steal for any team
Did you watch the game Levante had against Atletico at the end of the season? Guy was having the game of his life, he was incredible. If you look at the stats from 13/14 only four teams had a better GA compared to Levante: Madrid, Barca, Atletico and Bilbao. All four ended up at the top of the table that season and they all have better defensive players and teams as a whole. That should say something.

Probably not. Loosing to a better team, they can use Neymar injury as an excuse and they'd still be playing match for 3rd place.

Yeah, sucks that he got injured. Would have been a greater match and if they lost with him they would have had no excuse.
Now we won't hear the end of it after they get manhandled by Germany.

We won't.

What's amazing is that since 1950s, Brazil has won the World Cup every decade except for the 80s. And the Brazil 1982 team was considered one of the best Brazilian teams of all time.

Going by history, Brazil is definitely due to win it this WC. The problem is this Brazilian team resembles the 1990 Brazilian WC team, which was probably one of the worst Brazilian squads. They scored just 4 goals that tournament against Sweden, Scotland, and Costa Rica, and ultimately lost to Argentina in the second round. That Brazilian team played very defensive and outside of Careca, they lacked true world class players.

Hopefully with Neymar's injury, Brazil will play inspired and out of their minds. Out of the remaining teams, I'm pulling for Brazil.

As for Holland, they're always a bride's maid, never a bride. And I don't see that changing this WC.
