Yes. I've watched enough matches to know those stats are only relevant when juxtaposed to the actual score.
 
5 more goals for this to be the most goals scored world cup ever (beating 1998).

Which is pretty likely as the number in the 3rd place playoff game is usually fairly high.

One thing everyone has to agree on is that Brazil actually played. Obviously, the fucked up, but they did keep pushing, they got the honor goal, and they had a few more shots that were close.

I dont know about you, but after goal 5 I would have just laid in the middle of the field and cried.


HOWEVER, if they had taken a page out of Costa Ricas book, the game would have been 1-0, and everyone here would have bitched to hell and back about how terrible Brazil played. Funny that.

They played terribly even without taking a page out of CRC's book lol.

At least if they parked the bus they could've salvaged the scoreline.

The defense was just non-existant. At all.

I was watching the replays and the amount of space they gave the Germans in the penalty box was just inexcusable.

Yeah, the only thing i'm worried about is how they germany kind of started slipping early on in the second half. The second half felt closer to a "real" football game than the first.

I believe his absence was the reason their defense went from shaky to pure shit, Germany was the better team even if Neymar and Silva was there but a 7-1 beat down? nope, Germany probably would have won 3-1..

This post is bad on several fronts but topping it off with predicting injury throws your post into the garbage heap of credibility. Brazil didn't play but for a few minutes in the beginning when Germany were figuring out things and towards the end when Germany was long gone and shut it down. They took their foot off the gas and lazily allowed a goal or else this would be a 7-0 final like was deserved.

Germany had a 5-0 lead, Brazil finally tried to answer but wasn't good enough to find one. 10 minutes later, they breaked in again.

His career went down mostly due to injuries which stopped when he came back to Brazil. But he is still much better than Fred and Jo. I'd call him up if I were Brazil's manager. Even being a substitute from Paolo Guerrero for the most part of last season he managed to be Corinthians's season top scorer with 18 goals. Now he is playing at São Paulo mostly as a midfielder or a winger, doing good so far but scoring less goals.

Hey, he made little changes and managed the lineups but the players played like they were out of it after the first 5 minutes. It was only a matter of time then. Yes, Scolari made some blunders and he should have gone creative and made major line changes and shifts but the players were balled off the pitch. German superiority with or without the 2 missing players.

Brazil has a lot of good young defenders. The problem today was the midfield and the side backs. Luiz Gustavo and Fernandinho along with Marcelo and Maicon played absolutely nothing so the Germans went "Blitzkrieg" mode.
