I was hoping (kekekeke!) that Hope would pop back up as a main character but alas; tis not to be. I started liking her towards the end; her little time with Spiderman was what made me a fan of her, that and telling Cyclops to piss off before she shot him with an optic blast.

See that makes a lot of sense more than a few of those guys tie into the upcoming TV and movie projects. However as a team line up its random enough to be the defenders.

I like Marvel's commitment to writing female character led books..... but Scarlet Witch, Medusa, and Angela are not what I would call A list Female Characters. I know they have Storm series coming up as well which is great. Yet I'm not surprise they are not pushing a X-Men book in the press because of more movie drama.

In theory it was the entire Phoenix Five who went to jail for you know conquering the world. The real issue was Wolverine and the majority of the X-Men (who also mostly hate wanda) have turned their backs on Cyke. Though it looks like that storyline is being written out little by little overtime.

Not only that, but when you think about it, how is it a good idea to even turn people back this way? What Wanda did was pretty horrible (and honestly it does annoy me that all she gets is a guilt trip speech from everyone even though more should happen) but Scott wanting to use the power to spontaneously change everyone back to mutants is on the same level if you think about. No one asked to be de-powered, and at the same time in AVX you don't really see people consenting to being re-powered too, since we know from various storylines and comics, that some people suffered disabilities as a mutant or didn't like to be socially looked down upon.

Patriot is really weird. He left the team at the end of Young Avengers: Children's Crusade and Marvel's just let the character sit there. Gillen couldn't use him for Young Avengers.

Nah, they will keep it around just as an offshoot to appeal to the tumblr crowd. This is the same line that marketed the Ultimates relaunch as "Hey look, a superhero team with no white male characters."
