Angry Magic makes the Nova Bomb track enemies, so no, that won't save you.
It doesn't track so hard that it can hit 90 degree turns mid-descent. You can jump directly past one. Once you get past the "oh shit" effect, its a joke.

Their cool down is long enough to kill them twice.

Titans are a different story though.

nah i really think ADS is a piece of shit so i just don't use it whenever possible.

Jigoku SR3 is where it's at, yo. Top tier shit.

Don't feel like either is particularly great when firing from the hip, though.

From what I can remember, it offers better stability (which makes for better hip firing) and...there was one other attribute I really liked but can't remember it.

But that too.

Mitternacht is my fav, it's all about the balance and good firerate. Has a bit of a low magazine, but I got the ability to load ammo directly to the mag with kills.

They did a good job with scout rifle feel in this game, in most games they feel too stiff for me.

The Golden Gun for Hunter is definitely a good "snipe" tool in PVP as well, if your holding down something like B on Shores of time you can basically fuck them up from a distance before they even get within view of the flag

Shingen and Cydonia for comparison ( didn't snag one of my Sahara );

Shingen was the most stable of all of them. I felt that the higher rate of fire on the Sahara just added too much recoil. Cydonia was a bit slow at times and still had more recoil than the Shingen.

I got a sahara with a "damage bonus after reloading"

and my "faster reload when clip is empty" Suros shotgun were my workhorse weapons.

Nothing like countering the Nova Bomb mid air with a golden shot lol

I use scout rifle in PvE just fine but PvP I can't seem to use it. I had to switch to my auto rifle to start getting a bit better in PvP. I dont know how to use scout rifle effectively in crucible

Same for me. I switched to auto rifle today and the improvement in my pvp game increased dramatically resulting in me being the MVP on my fire team for the very first time. Then the servers went down :(

If there are 5 people huddled together inside a capture zone like idiots they deserve to get space magic'd and meet their maker.

This is bullshit, as I've been killed by a spamming titan from the other side of a barrier, who just walked into the room and supered us. And some times teams are capping points to finish them as quickly as possible, especially when they're behind.

The only time you should huddle together is when your dancing together. <3
I actually no joke if I saw a group of enemies dancing in a zone I'd come in and start dancing with them. That'd make a great video.

Reminds me of this time in halo. I was playing capture the flag in Valhalla. When all of a sudden an enemy guy appeared in front of me in a warthog. I was getting my gun ready when all of a sudden I heard him honking. We stared longingly into each others eyes as we realized we had found each others soulmates. "Lady in Red" started playing in my head. I got in the warthog with him and we rode across the map. Two souls so close they might as well be one. We killed everybody in our path. Friend and foe alike.

SPARTAN IN REEEEEEEEEEED. IS DANCING WITH ME. CHEEK TO CHEEK

The Hunter really does have the worst special just because it doesn't take much to ruin someone's day with it. I've shotgunned a few Hunters with the special activated. Also the limit of three sometimes just isn't enough. Warlock has a free bazooka shot(much better than the actual rocket launchers now that I think about it).

The range is ridiculous. I've hit people from behind the A turret on the moon that were camped on the support structure between A and B. The shot diameter is extremely large too.

Its amazing how forgiving it is while aiming. Its like a gassed up Halo 2 sniper rifle.

Just don't be too aggressive if you use them and try to stay at medium range if you can. I've been using exclusively scout rifles in the beta so far and I haven't had any issues in PVP.

Anybody got anything other than a heavy machine gun that has the "accuracy increased when crouching" perk? Because that perk is sick. Makes your hipfire accuracy pinpoint when crouching and allows you to go full auto hip fire and remain accurate. If you could get that for any other gun....

I'm kind of worried about the amount of content in this game. We still don't know which planets are going to have content in the game, do we? I used to assume that it was all in our solar system, but now I'm starting to think that won't be the case. What about locations within these planets? We still don't have actual confirmation that any locations other than Old Russia are in on Earth, right (I don't count the Tower)? Will each planet have multiple locations? Will Old Russia have more missions than we see in the beta, or is that the extent of missions on each location? How many PvP maps are there? Is there a custom PvP game mode like in Halo?

I just wish we had a better idea of the amount of content. I used to think that this game would absolutely be packed to the brim with planets, locations, missions, maps, etc. but as we move closer to launch and still don't know anymore than we did before, I'm more worried.

I have a couple clips of the "A" cap point on First Light; enemies trying to shoot through the glass dome and I start dancing right outside it. They all stopped and starting dancing too, it was amazing.

Of the one's we've played. That arc blade.

The Sahara feels too weak and spray heavy to me, similar to the Halo 2 smg or the Half Life 2 smg. It's like you're shooting people with a shower head.

If there are rarer versions of it with more abilities it could be interesting though.

We don't know. The assumption is that there will be multiple locations per planet but we just don't know.

I had been wondering about guns and PVP myself. I will switch to an Auto because I get owned so easily with a Scout unless they are miles away from me. Anytime I get close to anyone they just spray away until I'm dead. Just cannot shoot as fast as they can and I lose probably 75% of the time.

Doesn't help that I have zero skill in shooters and my teams I join always seem to be on the losing end.

@bolded dumb shit like that is probably why.

5 guys sitting on a cap is fukkery. 2 guys at the most should stick around. When teams do that they completely forfeit map control and deserve to be danced on.

Don't feel like either is particularly great when firing from the hip, though.

Like I said, I hate ADS, so I pretty much avoid it whenever possible (long range doesn't matter cuz my secondary is a sniper), but aside from the reticle getting massive when in the air/moving a lot, hipfire with the Jigoku hasn't been too bad. I'm not consistently feeling like I'm getting fucked out of kills! I'll have to give the Trax a shot if I ever find one!

lol no shit.

What pisses me off is when your teammates cap a base and then neglect the one they already have. I'm screaming "Defend it!" while they all meander about playing Control like it is strictly TDM.

This isn't true as I've been a part of a few 4k comebacks because of team effort like this. The maps are spaced but close enough that your team can move as a group from point to point while also covering any lanes the enemy might make to get around you. Especially on maps like the moon that have vehicles, and venus that has all the jumping which makes it even easier for people to be caught out of position.

This is why the team effort is great. If you have everyone moving from point to point, people are going to take different routes and encounter the enemy from different angles, if your team is up to the challenge is another matter.

I just realized.... I'm going to start the new tea bagging in this game. It's Going to be called grave dancing. Kill an enemy and then dance next to their ghost.

I suppose so. I guess I'm just upset because it was very problematic in the match I played last night on the moon. I was the only one who cared about so the turret guy was pretty much set up perfectly to defend it. The alpha matches I had on the moon was very high scoring for the guy in the turret

Yeah, if you have someone in the turret overlooking B that is taking the role seriously, you're likely going to need to coordinate with another team member to dislodge them or try and sneak up and lob a grenade.

yeah as much as i love destiny right now, they've nailed the gameplay 100%, the dialogue from the ghost, the enemy names (wizards, the darkness, knights, the speaker, etc etc) is all just so uninspiring to me :/ i can look past the similarities between halo and this game and tbh i don't see that as a bad thing at all, i just hope though that they're holding back the story with this beta, although wouldn't you wanna showcase some cool aspects of the story for your beta? don't wanna turn people off before the game comes out :p

I like the way the story has been presented so far-- much more so than the alpha since there's a lot more context now that they have you starting from square one. I enjoy what they're building here and also like how some of the story elements don't need overt narration since it's built into the environment. The grimoire cards promise to flesh out a lot as well, story-wise; I just wish they weren't practically all redacted right now, though that alludes to your hope that they are holding a lot back in regards to the story.

Why would there be a limitation if something like that doesn't exist for Titan or Warlock?

Well there has to be some restriction such as either range, time, or something of that nature. I doubt it's as simple as if there are five people in a general area then it's five automatic kills. It might be but I'm guessing there might be some range thing where if people jump far enough backwards they might be able to dodge it.

Moon: get 2 people to get their sparrow out and Cap A someone gets in the tank someone else in the pike and the other in there sparrow and get B

Guy in the sparrow when he gets to be get on the turret and provide cover. Bam.

Edit: 6th guy is the wildcard he can easily go and disrupt C as a distraction

You actually don't get that many points from holding the bases. The bulk of the points seemingly come from kills irritatingly enough.

If you've played any Halo MP with the DMR, that's basically what the Scout Rifle is. If you like to rush to close range, you're better off with an AR. If you are a mid-range guy (like to support teammates capturing a point), then the Scout can tear enemies up in 3-4 shots. I switched to a pulse rifle which really helped me in PvP (not as good as a scout in PvE).

The range is ridiculous. I've hit people from behind the A turret on the moon that were camped on the support structure between A and B. The shot diameter is extremely large too.

It's the rebirth of the Halo:CE pistol lol.

Yeah they need to fix that. I've had times where we control two bases and yet the other team is winning because my idiot teammates keep attacking the one they have left where all of them are.

Oh, I know. My point is that they should defend the two so that they can get the other team to come to them. That, and we accumulate points more quickly while holding 2 bases.
