Some distinguished Notifications for Super charged, Melee ready, Grenade up etc would be awesome coming from the DS4 Speaker.

Speaking of charged supers: I wish the game would show, whether people have their supers ready. Would take at least a little annoyance from cheap death in a way, that i could run away, seeing a charged Titan dashing in my Territory.

The indicator that shows a player's level will be outlined and flash in a yellow glow when they have a super ready.

Now that I think about it, this game needs the halo narrator for double, triple kills and sprees.

They should just use the guy they have now.

"Ha Haaaa, that's a double kill Guardian. The Crucible is no place for mercy."

"Incredible, Guardian. That's your 10th victim in a row. The Crucible rewards the strong."

"Guardian, you shot that fool right in the face. You da best"

etc

I read these perfectly in his voice until the last one when all I could hear was Tiny Tina.

Stupid question probably, but can anyone tell me how I unlock the additional abilities options after I have reached the level cap? I have noticed them go up even tho I am not earning XP, I'm assuming the additional grenade options level up with grenade kills etc?

Just wanted to share here too
Hopefully I link it correctly off the phone

Great stuff there.

After a certain point, i think the skills just...stop going up. Like my warlock has been stuck at the exact same spot as far as skills.

Screwed around with Share Factor for the first time using a bit of my Destiny play from last night.
I went exploring into some higher level areas-areas where most enemies can just about one shot you. I got some pretty good footage of a huge Hive colony near the Forgotten Shore and a peak at a massive enemy toward the end.

Check it out:

You can make it all the way past that cave and you exit through that green tunnel in the mesh layer area of the strike. The devil walker is also spawned if you head all the way through. But since the gate behind the devil walker tied to strike progress there is nothing to do afterwards but return.

It seems that most of the comments here are about PvP so I assume that's what people played the most. I'm a little concerned about the PvE. As already been mentioned, the content seems a bit sparse and the gameplay grindy. I've played both the Alpha and Beta, and both times I've stopped do to disinterest. Don't get me wrong, I've had some great times playing and can see the potential, but that has only been in isolated instances.

As someone who is primarily interested in PvE this has me considering canceling my preorder and waiting for reviews. I realize that this is just a slice of the game for beta and that we are only seeing the low level stuff, but other beta's like Diablo III's were able to show a limited portion of the game and yet pull me in. Should I be this concerned?

has anyone ripped the beta ost yet? specifically, the tracks from the Story missions?

I remade my third character 4 times just to listen to the song that plays when your Ghost is firing up your space ship for the first time and you fly away from the oncoming Fallen.

That song is too epic.

Marty am cry. This soundtrack is shaping up to be his best work by a long mile.

Maaaaan... i was a big big doubter of the game... now i miss the beta and preordered the game.

Well, the game is complex like a stone (at least the beta, but hey, its a beta), but the little the game does it does very well and is fun!

Bring the beta back Bungie!

If you go that direction, but towards the coast, there is a shoreline you can drop down onto that leads to a dead ghost, and a big metal door, that kindof looks like the hallway into the glitched area people were talking about a few pages back.

Yea it's weird, I have seen people that have unlocked additional stuff, but I haven't gotten anything off of the second row yet.

Seriously the escalation in The Last Array on the last wave is gold. I've beaten that mission 10 times now and it never gets old.

Question! Has anyone figured out how hip firing works yet? I'm pretty certain that it follows the Counter-Strike logic of "your bullets will go here for this shot, here for this shot, and here for this shot, with some random-ness applied" as opposed to the "modern shooter" idea of "aim down sight or you're a MISSING FAILURE FEEL BAD MACHINE."

If not, I wish it was. That's like the perfect synergy right there. Oh, man.

It can be somewhat accurate so long as you don't go too crazy. Really short bursts seem to work mid-range.

Thing is, the mid-to-long range is dominated by ADS, so you have to be closer than usual for hip-fire to really be effective.

your level stops but earning exp still progresses the skill trees it seems.

I hip fire all the time with my scout rifle, haven't noticed any less accuracy. Probably sue to the fact that this is from Bungie, the Halo series never really adopted the ADS system.

Ok ty, they seem to be going up randomly, which led me to believe it might have down to using the item/skill more in order to level it faster.

Sweet I have a bunch of 15 minute clips of pvp matches on ps4 I made with gaf fireteams :).

Going to create a few cool sharefactory movies with that.

I really wish the announcer didn't sound so bored. I don't like the voice itself much, either.

The dialogue they give him is great (no mercy!) but the way he says it is so drab that it makes the game feel bored of itself.

They should go find another radio host and have him record the lines with some excitement.

I also wish the HUD was cooler and more congruent. In Halo it all looked like part of the same technology (in the helmet). In Destiny it just looks like they did the minimum amount of work to throw it on the screen with little regard for style.

I'm the same, kind of mixed, but I cancelled my preorder before getting the beta download codes. Don't usually plonk down that much money (£45 = $77) before a full retail game is out. If I get this, it'll probably be because it's a game to play with friends.

For me, hip firing works best with the pulse rifles.

Is it Wednesday yet?

I tried playing exclusively with hipfire (with scout rifle, hand cannon) but you absolutely won't get as frequent yellow critical hits or instant headshots than with ADS which is snappy and faster to kill the enemies than taking your time with hipfire. It's only really viable at much shorter distances, especially for indoor environments or when enemies rush at you (Thralls).

This is no Wolfenstein or Halo in that aspect.

Do we know exactly what we're getting on the 26th? I want to know if I should try to remote play on that day from the other side of the country.

Does it bother nobody else that there's no option for a control scheme similar to Halo's?

I need melee on circle and crouch on the right stick.

Am I the only one dissapointed with the weapon variety? Do you guys know if the full game has a better variety of auto-rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles and maybe even SMGs. The weapon variety has been the most dissapointing aspect so far and I feel a game like this can really benefit from it.

I agree, especially since the weapon designs themselves don't vary among weapon types.

This isn't a fight, it's a massacre!
