Just after unleashing Fist of Havoc, it says SUPER CHARGED and the bar is full again. What does this meaaaan?? Did my 4 eyes see this correctly?

Well, to be fair I have played Beta for 20 hours or so, with 2 different characters to get to Lv. 8.

So if you take that, multiply it by 5 + all the hidden stuff and the level grinding and all that. I'm sure you can easily get 100 hours per character out of the game. Maybe more.

It would be a bit disappointing if Old Russia was indeed the only explore map in all of Earth, but ..... yeah nm it would just be disappointing lol. I was really going in thinking of a world like Star Wars Galaxies or something you know, where you could be walking along in the jungles of future-earth and just happen upon some players who just happen to be there at the same time, and then jump onto your Pikes and go riding out into the sunset ... just happen upon this giant structure and then you go into the structure which then begins an instanced mission.

With the size of Old Russia, even with only 8-10 people on the map, that just isn't possible. You know where the other people are at all times, and really can see em on the map at all times unless they are behind something. I highly doubt the areas with the ??? enemies in Old Russia are just massive labyrinth like areas but I could be wrong, and who knows the area could lead somewhere else which in turn leads somewhere else.

We'll see. Content wise I have no worries really, I just was hoping for a truly massive world to explore.

I'm halfway done with unlocking the thing. I only so far unlocked the Lightning grenade and am so very close for the jump level 3 upgrade.

Can't remember which Bungie Dude said it, but subclass upgrades stop at Level 15... well before the 3rd line of the skill tree.
 
Only one area on earth is extremely disappointing. Regardless of my love for the game itself the lack of sp maps will be disappointing but I guess there'd be a lot of missions in each area.

At least we're paying for all of the extra content with the season pass. The first big expansion isn't covered in that is it?

not only that, but the marksmanship really pays off with the hunter apparently. I tend to get a lot of headshots but i have to sink lots of bullets with Warlock and Titan. With Hunter they seem to go down faster. I'll look into it. I am glad that characters have appeal and some of the level powers are nuts!
 
Most builds will work for pvp and pve alike, the glaring one that won't is the one from warlock that is about buffing and healing people assuming the super has no offensive properties as well. Which is the one I'm doing because praise the sun.

Just one explorable zone per planet would really suck :(.
 
Not much love for Warlocks around these parts I feel like. Maybe I should try another class. Maxed out my Warlock but I'm horrible at PVP. Although I don't believe playing a different class would change that. :)

We have very little info about how these buffs work. We do know that it buffs ally's as well as self buffs which could mean close to 1-3 shot kills from otherwise 5-7 shot guns.

Basically, we need the game before we can judge the usefulness of the buff.
 
I hope they release the Beta download on the XBO marketplace a bit earlier - I want to play it as soon as possible and not in the middle of the night tomorrow -.-

Play a titan in PVP and you are bound to get more kills than most. The titans super deploys faster than any other class in my opinion, especially indoors.

If you have great aim, hunter has you covered, and will give, what seems like higher crit with sniper rifles.
 
Does anyone know what time we are getting the codes for the xbone?? It say July 22 on bungie.net.... But fuck-all for now

No there is a lot of love for warlocks as a whole. If you play the beta actually there are so many warlocks and hunters. If anything the Titan needs more love. And that's the one I'll be making in the full game for PvP. That extra bit of armor plus shotgun will be my terminator.

I hate to burst your bubble, but we know there is only 1 raid in Destiny.

Look towards the expansion packs for the next raid(s) would be my advice to you.

It buffs all your abilities, both offensive and defensive, and the super can be upgraded to either reduce incoming damage, reduce all cooldowns for nearby allies or so that you can use it after dying to revive yourself.

Killing an enemy with the melee attack can also temporarily reduce incoming damage.

There's also upgrades that make your grenades ignite enemies, doing damage over time even if they get out of the radius.

I wouldn't write it off so easily for PVP.

Reduce cooldowns for my teams supers, reduce incoming damage and fire grenades?

Praise the sun looks like I don't have to make a titan if I can reduce damage.
 
in some videos i recall seeing multipliers for kills text popping up above the super charge bar in PvE that increased exp received and allowed for chaining kill combos. are these confirmed to be in the final game? are they in the beta, but not showing up as text on screen? sometimes i see the exp per kill jump up after the initial 25 but i cant be sure what's causing it. hoping they explain all of that.
 
Did some new information get released or something? Only 1 location on earth and the rest of the available planets plus only 5-7 story missions each seems very underwhelming.

Yeah, I can only assume it's something comparatively lame like Emblems or such (Don't hate! If emblems are your thing more power to you!).



Man, Destiny has grabbed me like no game in a loooooooong time. This downtime is just killing me, though. Glad I'll have TLOU to hold me over until release.

If Bungie wanted to do it right they would add either a space ship you can only get from participating in the beta or a special class item. Because symbols will quickly be replaced. And i genuinely don't care for buying space ships so yeah having a beta exclusive will go a long way.

Plus the passive skill I'm most looking forward to:

Angel Of Light: Aiming your weapon while in the air holds you in place for a short time.

Time to get all Matrix on people's asses.
