It honestly seems like someone at Nick has some kind of personal vendetta against the creators or the series. Backlash from the movie? I just don't understand it.
what does this mean for Book 4?
will they just end the series after this season?
They might shop it around for someone else to fit the bill like CN did for Clone Wars.
Hopefully it's Netflix and they just gain all rights to all Avatar related productions.
I really, really want to hold back on the "It was better when I was younger" rhetoric
But I watch TV like a kid anyway, and I'm either remembering wrong but Nick and CN really...REALLY suck ass now don't they?
Talk about bitching about online media killing TV, they couldn't be making it more easy for them. It's like someone pointing a gun to your head so you just slit your own throat, as if that will save you.

from Dimartino's FB a few mins ago.
Hang tight, Korra fans. There is 1 new episode this Friday at 8, then the rest of the season will be available from various sites online. We'll let you know when we have more details. Thanks!
I know they just recently finished recording for Book 4.
They can't just drop it at this point, can they???
What the fuck
I don't understand why this keeps happening with cartoon focused networks.
This is some Young Justice level bullshittery.
I honestly don't get it.
It makes me wonder if there isn't some shady accounting going on, where they want to be able to show they poured a bunch of money into a show's budget but don't actually want it to be successful.
Why even order the show if you're just going to screw it over?
Fuuuuuck.
Why do I even bother watching action cartoons. Young Justice should have taught me a lesson on how shitty networks can be.
Well this sucks.
I just hope we get to see book 4, since that was always going to be the final season.
Also do we have any idea how the past DVD and Blu-ray sales have been? I know digital has been decent. I'd like to think those still have a chance, they might as well try to make some money out of those right? Right?![]()
I've been down this path too many times.
Can't comment on past sales, but just looking at the Amazon pages you can see this
- ATLA: Book One:
#3 in Movies & TV > DVD > Anime
#25 in Movies & TV > DVD > Kids & Family
- ATLA: Book Two
#2 in Movies & TV > DVD > Anime
#23 in Movies & TV > DVD > Kids & Family
- ATLA: Book Three
#1 in Movies & TV > DVD > Anime
#20 in Movies & TV > DVD > Kids & Family
- LoK: Book One (DVD)
#18 in Movies & TV > DVD > Anime
- LoK: Book One (Blu-Ray)
#26 in Movies & TV > Blu-ray > Kids & Family
- LoK: Book Two (DVD)
#24 in Movies & TV > DVD > Kids & Family
- LoK: Book Two (Blu-Ray)
#8 in Movies & TV > Blu-ray > Kids & Family
Other "Top" items in the "Kids & Family" category: Lego Movie, Rio 2, Frozen, Harry Potter, Despicable Me 2.
I don't know what that category is worth, but they seem to be doing fairly decent for themselves still.
So does anyone know who owns the rights to the TLA universe? Nick or Brian/Mike? Would love to see more original shit in the distant future on netflix and the like, but if nick owns the rights it looks like this entire franchise is pretty much done.
nick owns the property
As long as we get Book 4, digitally or otherwise, I'm not too bothered.
I knew something was up the minute they released 4 episodes at the same time for the season finale last season, that just never happens. Hopefully season 4 still manages to come out in some form.
That looks decent yeah.
Although going from what I've seen on the gaming side Amazon can be misleading when it comes to these things...
I'm guessing the idiots who're involved on the programming side of things don't have much to do with DVD / Blu releases though. I hope.
nick owns the property
they did the same thing in the first series. the back half of book 3 was shown in 1 week. 4 eps on the final night.
It really is a shame that it took two seasons for them to realize why people enjoyed the original show so much.
I mean, I liked the first two seasons ok, but they were missing so much of the wonder that Last Airbender captured.
It turned off way too many fans.
Think it has more to do with Nick's asinine scheduling.
Hence the title of this thread.
Ugh annoying news to wake up to, Guess you can see new episodes online now though nick
Nick sure really screwed up promoting this show
Hopefully they put the episodes on a decent digital platform
As long as we get Book 4, digitally or otherwise, I'm not too bothered.
The director is basically saying that Nick won't be airing them at all and we'll have to wait until streaming services get them.I still think it was odd of them to release the last 3 episodes of LoK Book 2 online in a single night. They randomly announced it in the morning, and then put them up that night. So maybe we'll get some BS release like that for Book 3 (we can only hope).
We probably shouldn't panic yet. It's possible that it's just a two week hiatus, and we will be on a one episode per Friday schedule fro the remaining. It DOES worry me that they pulled the August 1st and 8th date. But meh. Book 2 also had some weird 2 week hiatus as well.
Holy crap, I didn't even know this started airing. I don't know if I should watch it now or wait, since who knows how long I'll have to wait.
The director is basically saying that Nick won't be airing them at all and we'll have to wait until streaming services get them.
And who knows when that is.
This is definitely panic worthy.

Whoa I must be blind. The creators said that!?
