Huey Lewis tried to sleep with my girlfriend!

A very pretty, tall married friend of mine is going to see <unnamed band> in September and going back stage with a couple of her friends because one of them knows the bass player. She's real excited that the keyboard player added her on Facebook but is sure it is all innocent. /facepalm.

Wife was managing a hotel in Chicago suburbs and I was in the lobby waiting for her to get off work when these two walk in:

I didn't recognize them at all. He was wearing a nice suit and she looked like she might have been a hooker. Wife didn't recognize them at all either, but she starts doing the normal check-in routine and asked for name, ID, etc. He says it's under the name Huffman, Booker T and gives her his ID. I don't watch wrestling, but I had heard the name Booker T around before, and mentally, I'm just thinking, "That's funny, there's a wrestler named that too." Nothing else happens, and we go to dinner.

Well, turns out WWE had an event that night, and my wife had checked in a bunch of "really big guys" that day.

Had a co-worker at my last job who handled the company's 401(k) program. She went to school with Bret Michaels but that wasn't the story I liked to hear from her. Nope, the story I liked was that Huey Lewis tried to seduce her best friend before, during, and after a Huey Lewis and the News concert they attended together. Apparently these two won backstage passes from a radio promotion back in the day and the entire time Mr. Lewis was heavily into her friend. Her friend kept declining and Mr. Lewis supposedly was getting more and more aggressive with his tries. It finally ended with the friend leaving the arena during one last big attempt by Mr. Lewis to bag the beauty. I asked my co-worker if he tried to hit on her and she said, "Nope. Kinda made me sad to be honest with you."

My girlfriend got hit on by Gary Busey at a bar one time. He eventually pulled the "Do you know who I am?" at some point to which she replied "No" which apparently annoyed him and he disgruntledly walked away without saying anything else. She honestly didn't know who he was until someone else pointed it out to her after he left. She just thought he was an old creepy weird dude.

For a whole ten minutes I thought you meant Gary Coleman.

He wasn't happy to be stuck with her.

I forgot his name off the top of my head but that bald white guy that heads the band on one of those late night shows tried to flirt with my wife at a bar.

So my GF is in Baltimore on a business trip, some association of trial lawyers.

Huey Lewis and the News were booked to perform at their party last night, and Huey met my GF. He was into her, and supposedly kept 'hitting' on her during the show...haven't really found out exactly what that entailed.

After the show they're hanging out in the hotel lobby, Huey wants to pose for a pic with my GF. She takes a pic with him, and then he tries to get her to come up to his hotel room. She declines, reminding him that she has a husband (we're not married but we live together) and he freaks out. Has a tantrum in the lobby in front of EVERYONE who was at the show. He then gets in the elevator, and according to a friend of my GF's who was in the elevator with him, he was swearing and kicking the elevator the whole ride to his floor.

So yeah, that's what happened. My girlfriend is equal parts disgusted and amused. Thought I'd share cuz why the hell not?

Feel free to share your own dubious celebrity encounters or just make Huey Lewis jokes.

Oh my..

Maybe he just wanted to have a stimulating conversation with her and possibly play an acoustic version of "Stuck with You" for her, and then autograph a few records for her. Did you ever consider that OP?

Him? Oh my god, do tell more!
LOL yup that's him. Nothing too crazy. My cousin had a birthday party at a restaurant/lounge place. Me and my wife are coming in to join the group and Paul Shaffer's on his way out. We cross paths but he turns to my wife and says in a flirtatious manner "...well, hellllooooo..." and keeps on walking. I dunno if he was drunk or what.

Yeah....we're gonna need to see that picture.

She hung out with him in a hotel lobby? Look, I'm sure you love this girl with all your heart and soul but she is walking a thin line. Bad is bad. Obviously you work for a living so you can't be following her around all the time so you have to have trust in her. If she tells you a little lie here and there who cares? It's the big lies you have to worry about.

Dude, I would hang out with Huey Lewis in a hotel lobby and I don't want to sleep with him. If they have a healthy relationship and mutual respect/trust, then this kind of jealousy and slightly paranoid attitude would only drive a wedge between them. If you have to be tyrannical in your relationships, you either need a new perspective or a new relationship.

edit: o lol, jokes over my head

A girl I fucked shot down Cam'ron not long before that. Feels good, man.

I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

Nice one.
