He has always been there, from Mork and Mindy, through Vietnam, university and even talking about games. Always quick witted, always making an impression.

Absolutely dreadful.

Awful news and completely unexpected in every way imaginable.

My thoughts are with the family.

I hope this is sad news can serve as an opportunity to educate the general population on the severe issue that is depression.

This makes me sick. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for him. He looks very similar to my dad and I think that is one of the reasons. Suicide just makes it even worse for me. I don't even want to imagine the pain he was feeling.

I am saddened by this news. I am too young to remember him in his prime, but I still grew up with him being the most recognisable actor in my life. =(

RIP :(

I feel bad for Zelda.

Always so odd when an older person commits suicide (for non-euthanasia reasons)

He was one of my idols growing up. I can't even express my sadness but I feel really empty right now. R.I.P. Robin Williams. Thank you for all the laughter and smiles.

When I was a kid, my mom made me a pirate hook from a Christmas decoration and a coat hanger. Plus a full costume of Captain Hook. This movie was my childhood.

I feel like a part of my childhood just died.

Like I said earlier in thread, I saw "World's Greatest Dad" a month ago where his son dies from auto erotic asphyxiation. Great movie, everyone should watch it.
Saw this a few years back, great film.

I know dude had issues with addiction and depression but you got the feel that he was better and happy with his daughter

goes to show you dont really know or get a feel for these people at all. Reminds me of the Owen Wilson attempt.

Talk abut a punch to the gut suddenly seeing this pop up on twitter. Such a sad ending to such a bright personality and life who brought smiles to so many

RIP- Can't believe that a man who brought so many smiles to people's faces was struggling with depression (and was potentially driven to suicide). He's the one of the few I've always associated with being happy and loving life.

So fucking sad. This one hits me HARD. His comedy brought many smiles to me and my family. Thank you for those memories, Robin. RIP :(

Literally shouted "NO, WHAT THE HELL, NO" when a family member told me. Even more saddened to see that it was depression. =/

I don't know what to say. Holy shit. I still can't even process this.

RIP :(

RIP.

I absolutely loved him in What Dreams May Come. I mean, he's great in every film but that one in particular is very special to me.
