:(
Sigh...
They lie about the price and then they keep quiet about it for over two weeks. Great start 5pb/whoever that is in charge.
I love being European and being treated like crap with those kind of price differences, it never gets old.

I'll wait for a sale, I have more than enough games to play anyway. I'm not tight on money but I can't support this.

2)Saints Row 4
+i REALLY want it
I would get this. Especially because you want it and it's an amazing game :D
(If PC is an option, too I would get it there. Just mentioning because SR4 doesn't run as well as SR3, if you are sensitive to tearing)

SR4 has 2 story DLCs which are both funny and a lot of clothing and gimmicks which are pretty much a matter of taste. Nothing too bad to miss. If you can buy on amazon.de, the Game of the Century Edition is only 23,50€. That's at least a better price. I would certainly not pay additional 15€ for the additional content. That's too much for what they offer.
If you want the story DLCs but can't get the GotC edition for less than 30€, buying the season pass for 10€ gives you both but none of the clothing.
But in general, both additional story missions are very short (slightly longer than 1h each) so in either case they are relatively expensive for a ~10€ price.
Just the main game for 15€ is a nice offer and that's what I would pick and maybe the rest will be on sale some other time.

I just want two more ports before the Vita dies and both are Persona 5 and Disgaea D2.

I think that I will be insanely upset if I can't play Persona 5 on my Vita at some point.

It really sucks loving a handheld like this, and watching it slowly slip in to obscurity :(

Hey gaf, I'm in the mood for a top down shooter but I can't decide between Hotline Miami (PS3) and Nano Assalut Ex (3DS).

Kinda off topic but maybe someone who played them both can suggest me which one has the better value?
I want to burn some credit leftover on my debit card, so I can only pick one game.

Thanks in advance!

IMO, Saints Row 4 sounds like it'll be a PS+ game anytime now, while PBBG does not. If that's how things work for you, there you go.

I love planes actually, least favorite part of beat em ups is attacking and finding you're one pixel too far the y axis, then they hit you becausethe ai has no such problem.

I just got phantom breaker, no real impressions yet though

Lets see.....
-Riviera: The Promised Land
-Yggdra: Union
-GUNGAIR
-Persona 1
-Persona 3 Portable
-Persona 2: IS
-Knights In Nightmare
-Kenka Broncho: Badass Rumble

I'm sure there is more but off the that all I know is off the Vita store (they have a big sale on all of these this week to but nope, not on the Vita store X(.

Thanks, I have almost all of those games and will back them up in case something goes wrong. At least we can still download them via the download list, though (just did it yesterday with Yggdra).

I've been playing TLOU: Remastered recently and so far I'm a bit disappointed by the story and the AI in the game. The story did pick up after the introduction so that's a plus but the AI is so damn stupid and easy to exploit it hurts.

It is way pretty though, and I love the different ways to approach combat, and like I said the story is picking up a bit from that awful start.

It's actually pulled me away from my Rogue Legacy habit, that's saying something.

The AI feels especially stupid in some of the opening parts, it's pretty decent later. It definitely picks up after the start
though story-wise, Sarah's death is certainly a strong point, but not the only one
. It's a game with stealth elements though, you don't want them human-level smart...they'd just kill you. Grounded Mode makes exploiting the AI a much riskier situation, though I really wouldn't recommend it on a first playthrough/ever. Hard is just fine though.

I was fine with the emotional impact they were attempting, I just felt they provided a lazy way for it to happen.

Also ya... I've been thinking about maybe restarting the game on a harder difficulty. The combat is great but with the enemies they've provided it's like I have all these cool power-tools but I'm only building ikea shit with it.

Can I increase the difficulty mid game?

You can increase the difficulty at any time, just resets the most recent checkpoint. It works exactly like Uncharted. I'm not sure how hard Survival mode is, but Grounded is basically everything is a 1 hit kill, and results in extremely uneven difficulty. Hard is pretty fun IMO, but not extremely difficult. Survival mode disables the HUD as well though. Not a huge problem, but makes healing a really annoying guessing game, and you have to know when to use combat prompts (the combat QTEs are perfectly predictable, you just have to remember to input them, which I didn't for...several chapters.)

:(
Sale it is then. We're getting screwed over hard by conversion rates and we shouldn't have to pay for double the US release of the game. The way 5pb have been silent on the issue for so long didn't help at all, terrible PR.
I love being European and being treated like crap with those kind of price differences, it never gets old.
Don't forget being a afterthought for releases.

Thanks everyone :)
I think i'll buy SR4 digital, playing on the PS3 is really a pain for me but for SR4 i can do it(and maybe i'll finally finish Remenber Me).
About SR4 being on PS+... well after the inclusion of PS4 games on PS+ the number of big games is a lot lower, so i would not be so sure SR4 will be part of it.
In any case SR deserve my support(if only SR was on Vita :( ).

I bet it was a communication issue between 5pb. and the English PR people (who I think are from Strangely Compelling?) Still sucks, though. At least there's the promise of more game localizations, which is never a bad thing.

Big games on PS3 are probably near-done. They need 6 contracts a month now and current gen is winding down. And once PS4 gets retail games on PS+ it's probably the end for retail PS3 games on +

Honestly the 5PB guys seem in over their head. The game plays fine, but O and X are switched (I haven't had a US released PS game do this since Xenosaga on PS2), the store description is Engrish as is much of the in-game help text. The screenshots on the store are awful, probably the bare minimum, 3 shots, all of the same character. Kinda wish they'd go through NISA or XSeed who know what they're doing.

As long as they don't just grab the series that other publishers have already stablished, like XSEED with Corpse Party. Idea Factory International did that with NISA and Neptunia, which I'm still not sure it was a good call.

The worst part is even when it eventually goes on sale, it'll still be more expensive than America.

It seems that 5pb. is leaning toward self-publishing, and I'm not sure whether that's a good or bad thing. An obvious con at this point is that they can't seem to get a proper translation for their game descriptions (also an issue with their recent English release of Corpse Party on iOS), and I think they also might not have the means to make any physical releases. On the other hand, it means that games won't get stuck in publishing limbo like the original Phantom Breaker, and they won't have to rely on getting console localizers to release every one of their games. I really want to have more hope for a Steins;Gate Vita release now, since the problem of JAST USA being only a PC publisher might not be a barrier any more.

It depends on the deal made with the western publisher. Some localization publishers let the original publishers own the localized script, letting them use for other endeavors, while some of them own the script, forcing the japanese publisher to localize the game all over again.

I originally bought the second one before I bought my Spartan Game Grip and the sides of the handles weren't curved causing the corners to cut into my palms after a few play sessions. I don't know about the former, but I suspect the rubber material might make it more comfortable even if the form factor doesn't compare.

Which one should I get?

Top looks like Nyko power grip...possibly without the battery? Battery is primary reason I like the nyko, grips aren't bad either. Not amazing, I prefer the unit out of it, to be honest, but I don't seem to have the grip/touchpad problems lots of people do.

Traded in a couple games I'd never play (goodbye MLB 14 the show!) and picked up a $50 PSN card. The only thing I bought so far was Mamorukun Curse. I've been looking at getting Phantom Breaker or just saving it towards Sword Art Online. Thoughts?

Sword Art Online will make your money last. If you can, both games would be $52, you just need to get that extra $2.

Well, I already spent a tiny bit getting MC but topping up another $5 wouldn't hurt. Plus I guess I could finish PBBC before Sword Art even comes out (Crossing my fingers that a review copy winds up on my desk though!)

Thanks!

Don't play it on PS3. The best thing about the game is the missions, but the game is largely unbearable on PS3. Playable yes, but god, I regret buying it on PS3.

I don't know if I would call Hotline miami a top down shooter, but it is a fantastic game. I have not played the 3ds game though so I can't say anything about that.

Isn't it strange that we didn't get a release date for ether Freedom Wars or Oreshika during Gamescom?

Someone also told me that they heard that some of the games from the "Vita games playable on the GC floor" list wasn't possible for regular people to get their hands on. I find all of this really strange.

Edit:Just saw the trailer for Flame Over and IMO it looks promising :)

I'm really starting to be convinced that the Vita is being discontinued in NA. It's literally out of stock everywhere now. Retailers are going to tear down their Vita shelves any day now.

Magical Beat is also like that. Kinda annoying.

Even on western vitas? Always believed it simply used the default button config for the system since I only played it on a jp vita.
Welp.

Oreshika not so much (it was never said to come over in 2014), but this silence about FW annoys me.
Nick Accordino pls.

On other news, I'm not feeling Strider at all, and am again depressed for the lack of more Hard Corps Uprising.

I'm really starting to be convinced that the Vita is being discontinued in NA. It's literally out of stock everywhere now.

If you want to delude yourself really hard, you can think that they're saving all the Vitas for the Minecraft bundle.

Vitas have been getting restocked at some retailers. My gamestop did not get any borderlands 2 bundles in store but they were available online for a short time (they're since sold out). Best Buy has gotten more in, Kmart still has their stock of 1000's with the AT&T voucher lol.

They wouldn't release PS TV and discontinue the Vita. They won't be first party supporting it much if at all, but it makes no sense to discontinue it.

Should have made a damn PS4/Vita bundle already.

Thought I'd ask this in here: PSN has been intermittent on PS4 for the past couple of days, from looking at the official website's status. Anyone else been getting "Cannot Connect to the server. (NW-31201-7)" messages? It's a bit annoying when I'm trying to play FFXIV - an MMORPG - on the console.

When's the last time ridge racer for vita went in sale? I don't want to spend that Kuching in a racer designed for vita, and I am tired of the cheapness in NfS.

That Ridge Racer on Vita is supposedly the worst Ridge Racer ever.

Top of page recommendation: go buy Dangan Ronpa, play it, and then pre-order the sequel, coming next month.
