Could it be that for the past week they have had to use every resource they have to attend to these protests (and occasional looting) and therefore they don't have time to sit down and dig through everything?
 
Huh, I've been following this for a while but I have to ask: were the police who fired the tear gas last night part of the St. Louis police department or the Missouri Highway Patrol. If it was the later, why? What happened between the day and night? Sorry if this has been discussed already but this thread is already too long for me to try and find it.

Capt Johnson said some police were trapped in a parking lot by some angry protestors and one of the cops made a decision to fire off 1 tear gas canister. Then they hightailed it out of there.

It did happen, less than a week ago in Salt Lake City and good luck finding a news story about it outside of the Salt Lake City newspaper.

Edit: Not sure but there was one canister shot. The Captain removed those officers. He also said a couple of his officers were stuck in a parking lot which was why there was a large police presence to help them out.

I'm not trying to make excuses, something one way or another should have been done by now but if they have a fire burning in the city (metaphorically speaking), they are gonna have to put that out first no matter who caused that fire.

What are you talking about? Are you talking about the guy they murdered not too long ago? He wasn't a reporter, iirc. It was posted on GAF, unless you're trying to say white victims of police brutality don't get the same attention as black ones and if you are saying that, blame timing for this incident considering the news is barely talking about the guys murdered in Ohio and LA.

Seriously, get the fuck outta here. One example in the midst of, what, four black murders this past month? An exception is an exception. They also barely talked about the guy shot in Walmart for handling a toy gun or the one shot while supposedly handcuffed in LA

Now you wanna change your statement up that I called you out on and you're clearly wrong about. You spoke as if white people don't know what it would feel like to have an unarmed white person shot and killed by police except it just happened not even a damn week ago. In fact, a lot of similarities between cases are very much there.

Where is this line of argument coming from? The Mike Brown case is just the one that caught on like wilfdire. A number of other incidents with murdered black men aren't getting this level of attention. Who exactly are you angry at that a murdered white guy isn't getting as much attention? The majority white press? Majority white America?

My take is the couple that called it in escalted everything. The cops rushed to judgement too. It was a comedy of errors. Imagine being in a store and doing nothing wrong and being told to freeze or drop the gun, your first reaction would be to turn around to see what the fucking commotion was. Instead he gets capped.

Why not compare the frequency rate because that's the most important thing. If 100 innocent black men are killed vs 1 white guy, I'm not going to try to equate the two like they're fucking similar. What point are you trying to prove here; because it occasionally (very rarely) happens to white people, they know how police brutality feels?
