I actually have read until the part where Kira erase Josuke's friend in cold blood just because of unrecedented mistake. Diamond is Unbreakable is interesting, and nice JoJo part because breaking off from the previous formula. It just something caught my attention at the time, never reread it again since.

I didn't mean in terms of powers but of overall concept/storytelling, since Part 4 was essentially a slice of life/mystery Jojo (think around that for a while).

Part 8 seems to be eclipsing Part 4 in that department, as Part 8 is currently "Part 4, but way weirder." It may even surpass Part 6.

But Part 4 has the most interesting setting I think, tied with Part 7. They are also the best parts! Coincidence?

Haven't started reading Part 8 yet, because the releases seem to be slow and I'd rather read it all in one go.

For all the praise I could give Part 7, I never particularily liked the setting for some reason. Maybe because of the racing aspect, it felt just like "Go to the next point -> Trouble/Fight -> Repeat", though I did like the conspiracy surrounding it. I do agree that Part 4 and Part 7 had some of the greatest characters.

I always like Yoshikage Kira simple design, as opposed to fabulous and extravagant style that most JoJo villain have (Puci is not extravagant, but he's not simple though). He like a nice guy in your neighbourhood but know that he's not someone you want to mess with because he might have skeleton in his closet.

Those are the best characters to divert attention so that the team have an easier time dealing damage while the enemy is concentrated on them.

Especially for me since I tend to go for the speedsters with mediocre defense (Thieves/Ninja/etc).

Might just be my favorite manga from Jiro Matsumoto.

This intriguing love triangle with the MC being entirely out of place in this cruel world. His tendency of escaping to his fantasy, and at one point make conscience of it, makes this a superb contrast. He tried really hard to find the balance and resolve of facing his ideals and the reality he was in, occasionally hoping others will simply see from his pov. The other 2 girls personalities started out at the 2 different ends of each spectrum before gradually crossing over to the opposite side. It wasn't always clear cut black and white, their motives sometimes are merely an extension of their circumstances. The manga is also filled with thematic symbolism that can go from being disturbingly twisted to emotionally poignant.

A bittersweet ending.
