Siri is built into Apple Watch.

Does it need to be, considering a much more powerful device is needed with it?

Why not just send and receive the data between the watch and phone.

Moto 360 for me..

Yep

I always enjoy seeing Apple's OS talent at work. But it's really not clear how more complex interactions are more convenient than just pulling out your phone. At some point you will want to, I dunno.

The way the interface will work in tandem with the haptic feedback I'm sure will be one of those thing you won't get till you try it yourself. But when you do it'll be slick as fuck. The whole thing looks crazy slick.

And they aren't boasting about creating a dial. It's the way it integrates with and navigates the UI intuitively. The same way the click wheel made the iPod so great.

Yeah. I agree.

This looks like one of those 'awesome' smileys that you'd get from those pop-up advertisements when browsing the internet back in the day.

The idea behind the crown dial is to not cover the screen. Having the dial on the right side of watch clearly is designed for that to be worn on the left wrist and to use your right hand to rotate the dial. Doing it the other way makes it more awkward in usability to not cover the screen.

maybe the screen rotates 180 if you want?

To be fair most watches are useless without a phone.

Also do those android devices work with iphones?

So, the watch pulls all of its data from iPhone's bluetooth?

It just seems so pointless. Pull your phone out of your pocket and do everything the watch can do...

Ahh man that sucks. I had an instructor once with this. Even holding coins in her hand for periods of times causes her to breakout. Does this happen to you too?

I've never held coins long enough to find out but yeah probably.

Belt buckles get me too.

My wedding ring is gold and that doesn't bother me, I originally had a white gold ring that I was allergic to.

So I guess I could get the gold version but fuck that.

And also fuck emoji.

Fair enough, but then even Samsung's new watch looks better imo.

If Apple move away from the bubbly look, and back to the slick, machined, straight edged chamfered look, it'd be more appealing for me personally.

Why would you use the old version, should have at least posted the Gear 2 if you wanted to make a point

So outside of biometrics, what is the point in an iWatch type device?

I mean, it's cool if I can pair it with a phone and look at my wrist to see who is calling/texting or see notifications, but even then the phone has to come out of my pocket to do anything else with it.

He's using Siri on his watch to check movie times. Just take your goddamned phone out of your pocket!

This is what i don't get, if you need a phone anyway, that they just made a big deal how great the new BIG displays are, why would i use this tiny ass screen for anything other then... i don't know...

To each their own(if you guys actually own one, which I doubt in see5sharp's case). The Pebble is exactly what I want a smartwatch to be, a simple extension of your phone with long battery life. I love my Pebble Steel and I never leave the house without it.

I think both Android Wear and the Apple Watch miss the mark on why people even wear watches in the first place.

A watch is nothing but a fashion statement and the time for me. I got a Breitling shit is an accessory to flash at people.
