anyone know how long it takes before code rewards show up in the tower?
We should totally try the Dust Palace together and see who will be the first to get one.Same, it hurts me Nami
Interesting...

It's not *just* training, as I understand it. It's also how factions mediate political disputes, which is why they give people wearing their colors nice gear. It's a pretty wacky way to run a government, but w/e.

So i finally got a legendary drop, and guess what... it's a Warlock item. What the fuck?! I have no interest in playing that class at all. All drops up until now have been Titan drops, but this one just had to be some random bullshit that I didn't even know about the game. Talk about major anti-climax.
you feel really burned when you lead a team to victory and other people get loot but you have to reward people that suck too otherwise the rich get richer guys.
Took mine a couple hours to show up.
Make sure you activate them on bnet.

Did you visit the factions area of the Tower? They all sell gear for you to represent them in the Crucible.
Hehehe, welcome! What are you buying?
Alright. Gonna go try my luck in the crucible for some gear. Message me when ready.I'm down for that!
(Cooking dinner now so I'll be on after)
Same, I'm like "Damn these thirty seconds must mean there's something in a hidden crevice or corner somewhere to find. Peek around all the walls!"
no, im just saying Lore eise, it makes no sense for factions to create all this gear for nothing else then a training session for Guardians.
Just referring to faction gear not being useable outside of the Crucible. Doesnt make sense to me. Why wouldnt a faction want FireTeams out in the field representing them actually fighting against the enemy?
Would be pretty cool to see fireteams of 3 dudes decked out in FMC gear taking down Vex or whatever.
I'm a Warlock and my first legendary drop decrypted to Titan so I felt the same way as you haha. Too bad there's no trading in the gameSo i finally got a legendary drop, and guess what... it's a Warlock item. What the fuck?! I have no interest in playing that class at all. that's what I'm talking about...I have enough light to try the Nightfall Strike
It's Level 28, the Sepikis Prime strike.
Modifiers:
Epic: heavily shielded and highly aggressive enemies appear in great numbers
Angry: minions of the Darkness won't flinch, even after massive damage
Lightswitch: minions of the Darkness deal much more melee damage
Arc Burn: Arc Damage from any source is greatly increased
Nightfall: If all players die, your Fireteam is returned to Orbit
Tried it solo and got immediately killed by a wizard and sent back to Orbit lol
I'll wait till I get more gear I think...

You guys such cool armor.
Have we found out when the weeks begin and end in-game?
I haven't gotten that far but thus far I like the gunplay but feel that the loot lacks any oompff, flavor. I guess I played too much D3. Does anything in the game gear-wise step out on the stats or 'affects an ability' box?
When I get a piece of gear in D3 and it added 'Summon a herd of cows on hit" I generally smiled with glee. Sure stats and standard ability mods are great but having flavor abilities really takes certain items or even the grinding over the top.
I realize that D3 and Destiny are not very good game comparison models. The nagging feeling I'm fighting is that the gear is just a stat grind, with no flavor.
bounties reset at 5am est so im guessing 5am est on tuesdays

Patrol "missions"?Are those patrol missions endless or what? I spent last night trying to finish them but got bored after two hours and quit the game.

Nothing I've seen (thus far) really breaks the mold. It's all stat stuff. I have to imagine more extreme bonuses and effects don't exist purely because they have to have some kind of balance in PVP.

Wait, Crucible gear can only be worn inside the crucible????
That's very true, which is why I don't want randomization removed like some suggest. I just want the likelyhood of rare items to increase for high performers. Everyone still has a chance at loot, but badasses still get frequent rewards as well rather than being left in the cold.
can i get a couple people to do the weekly strike with?

Add me.
I think it's in the description of the crucible modes, but they may have changed that from beta.
Or maybe I'm just misremembering it, lol.
The Seven Tenets of the New Monarchy
1. To secure our walls against the enemy without.
2. To secure the rights and liberties of every upstanding citizen.
3. To sponsor the sciences of the City, and to salvage the ruins beyond, so that our Golden Age might be reborn.
4. To support the Guardian Orders by leading the City in technological innovation.
5. To support the natural harmony of the City, and to actively dissuade any group or individual that might disrupt that harmony.
6. To hold all individuals, compacts, and alliances to the highest standards of productivity and right behavior.
7. To, by vote of the Consensus, abolish the Consensus, and transfer ultimate power, in order that the rights and liberties of all citizens be secured, to a single sovereign of unimpeachable character.
Has this Agent of the Nine guy always been at the Tower selling Exotic gear, or am I just a crazy person for missing him before?
