So i finally got a legendary drop, and guess what... it's a Warlock item. What the fuck?! I have no interest in playing that class at all. All drops up until now have been Titan drops, but this one just had to be some random bullshit that I didn't even know about the game. Talk about major anti-climax.

anyone know how long it takes before code rewards show up in the tower?

I got mine to show up simply by logging off and logging back on.

This hasnt happened to me but thats some major bullshit. It might be okay if trading between players was in the game but it isnt. I only want gear for the guardian I am currently using. I dont want to vault it. Let me worry about that class while I'm playing it.

you feel really burned when you lead a team to victory and other people get loot but you have to reward people that suck too otherwise the rich get richer guys.

That's very true, which is why I don't want randomization removed like some suggest. I just want the likelyhood of rare items to increase for high performers. Everyone still has a chance at loot, but badasses still get frequent rewards as well rather than being left in the cold.

Store it in your vault just encase you do make a Warlock

Did you visit the factions area of the Tower? They all sell gear for you to represent them in the Crucible.

no, im just saying Lore eise, it makes no sense for factions to create all this gear for nothing else then a training session for Guardians.

Just referring to faction gear not being useable outside of the Crucible. Doesnt make sense to me. Why wouldnt a faction want FireTeams out in the field representing them actually fighting against the enemy?

Would be pretty cool to see fireteams of 3 dudes decked out in FMC gear taking down Vex or whatever.

I get 10 times better drops from pvp then pve, example I did a lot of bosses over 24 hours and found a few blues worth using at the most, from pve just yesterday and my second match today I have already found better gear and now level 23, it's so much better.

so why do I pve again? :S

I haven't gotten that far but thus far I like the gunplay but feel that the loot lacks any oompff, flavor. I guess I played too much D3. Does anything in the game gear-wise step out on the stats or 'affects an ability' box?

When I get a piece of gear in D3 and it added 'Summon a herd of cows on hit" I generally smiled with glee. Sure stats and standard ability mods are great but having flavor abilities really takes certain items or even the grinding over the top.

I realize that D3 and Destiny are not very good game comparison models. The nagging feeling I'm fighting is that the gear is just a stat grind, with no flavor.

Same, I'm like "Damn these thirty seconds must mean there's something in a hidden crevice or corner somewhere to find. Peek around all the walls!"

I always find the loot with about 3 seconds to spare and start running at it and.....

missed it, I swear.. I'm so rubbish at that 30 second loot scramble haha :D

But you can use the gear outside the Crucible. It is not restricted to the Crucible.

I'm a Warlock and my first legendary drop decrypted to Titan so I felt the same way as you haha. Too bad there's no trading in the game :p

I tried that weekly strike and got my butt whipped. Anyone want to try it with me? My psn I'd is Veg1v0. I'll be on for a few more hrs.

I have enough light to try the Nightfall Strike

It's Level 28, the Sepikis Prime strike.

Modifiers:

Epic: heavily shielded and highly aggressive enemies appear in great numbers

Angry: minions of the Darkness won't flinch, even after massive damage

Lightswitch: minions of the Darkness deal much more melee damage

Arc Burn: Arc Damage from any source is greatly increased

Nightfall: If all players die, your Fireteam is returned to Orbit

Tried it solo and got immediately killed by a wizard and sent back to Orbit lol

I'll wait till I get more gear I think...
that's what I'm talking about...

Tekku, your Guardian is amazing - such a svelte and dashing Titan mate.

I take back what I said about the Strange Coin yesterday. I just wanted an armor. :(
But now I see I still need 6 more to buy one. So what's the best way to get one?

Nothing I've seen (thus far) really breaks the mold. It's all stat stuff. I have to imagine more extreme bonuses and effects don't exist purely because they have to have some kind of balance in PVP.

Wait, Crucible gear can only be worn inside the crucible????

I think the issue is your titan looks too badass as is and the game didn't want to give you anything that would mess that look up.

In all seriousness I'm looking forward to that kind of thing as I get my other classes going, but I get why that would be a bummer if you don't care to play a different class. Makes me wish you could trade items (which of course has its own pitfalls). This game does certainly give you some anti-climatic moments like that though. The thing I hate the most is when a public event pops up and I'm all by myself.

Increased ammo capacity is pretty lame especially for primary weapons which almost never runs out. I'm sure they could have done something more interesting without breaking the game

It seems to be that pre-Legendary gear is keyed to only drop stuff your class can use, whereas Legendary gear has no such restriction.

I guess it kind of makes sense, since Legendary drop rate is probably low enough that you'd want to share your finds across all your characters... but I cannot for the life of me summon the desire to level up any alts to the point they could equip legendary gear. So I'm kind of hoping they change that.

I've been stuck on level 22 for what feels like forever. Not getting any better drops from either the strike playlist or the crucible :(

I think it's in the description of the crucible modes, but they may have changed that from beta.

Or maybe I'm just misremembering it, lol.

I feel like I remember it too. But I mean that could be true, by having more Guardians representing you in the Crucible could make that faction more powerful and in turn, more pull in government decisions.

From the Ghost Fragment: New Monarchy Grimoire Card.

The Seven Tenets of the New Monarchy

1. To secure our walls against the enemy without.
2. To secure the rights and liberties of every upstanding citizen.
3. To sponsor the sciences of the City, and to salvage the ruins beyond, so that our Golden Age might be reborn.
4. To support the Guardian Orders by leading the City in technological innovation.
5. To support the natural harmony of the City, and to actively dissuade any group or individual that might disrupt that harmony.
6. To hold all individuals, compacts, and alliances to the highest standards of productivity and right behavior.
7. To, by vote of the Consensus, abolish the Consensus, and transfer ultimate power, in order that the rights and liberties of all citizens be secured, to a single sovereign of unimpeachable character.

Has this Agent of the Nine guy always been at the Tower selling Exotic gear, or am I just a crazy person for missing him before?

It's his first day on the job today, look out for him every weekend from now on.

can i get a couple people to do the weekly strike with?

Want to start farming strange coins :)

Drubbed is my psn!

Add me.

I'll help you later on tonight, I hear it's fucking brutal.
