I found it funny ( even though it's not nearly Destiny's biggest problem )

Yoshichan

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
Well...
Poison, having to cleanse yourself, strategies that need to be executed

So far up to the second part.
Daaaaaaamn

Just did some Moon/Hive farming (it works, by the way). Got one Legendary engram...

Yeah, fuck this game.

Good to know it at least has legendary drops. Gonna hammer a few hours on it tonight.

My only legendary armor from over 10 engrams was for a hunter also. Stored it in my vault for my next run.

People gotta match up their weps to the enemies shields in this stuff. The big robot dudes in the start of the raid go down like butter to my void element fusion rifle.

I need 11 more Light points for lvl 26.

I can upgrade my chest piece twice more for +4

I can buy legendary boots and upgrade them twice for total of +7

Now all I need is 30 Crucible marks, a dozen Iron Relics and some XP and I can completely bypass asshole RNGesus and get ready for Raid tonight.

*deep breathes*

The fact that you can be given Legendary/Exotic loot for classes other than your own is a fucking joke. Like, how is that not just a massive slap in the face? Get bent, Bungie.

How are the mechanics different?

- You play a version of control against AI. The team splits and must stand in zones to build a structure. Once the structure is built, it opens a giant door.

- On your way to the second part they claim that the platforms drop and you must move quickly as a team so no one falls. (Was hard to tell if this was true.)

- You get to a boss area and there is green slime, if you step into it you are marked for death and must cleanse yourself by running to a structure before your time runs out.

- Your group can be instantly wiped.

- If die, you must wait 20 seconds before you can be revived by another player.

This is what I've seen from a live stream and they aren't very far into it yet.

They added a cool twist with the cleansing, then it immediately devolved into a never-ending wave style horde mode that the rest of the game is. Maybe it wouldn't seem so bad if this oracle wave didn't appear to last forever.

It's still cooler than I expected though. Hopefully the rest of the raid introduces new stuff as you keep going through it.

Yup. Would be alight with trading as I'm sure a bunch of us could sort out some trades, but otherwise it's dumb.

So I've been farming for the past 30 miuntes on Oryx and now I noticed that enemies rarely drop anything apart from glimmer, black wax and codex.

I still get the odd uncommon drop but its totally not the same amount I was getting pre-patch. :(

Yup, same here, looks like they might have toned it down lol

Didn't take my team long to give up. We had just about built the spire, then it all descended into chaos. Welp. Feel like I'll never complete this without a team of die-hards.

Just hit 20 and I have no idea what to do now...

Pvp, daily mission, weekly mission, vanguard strikes

What's best guys?

I want to start getting legendary items and stuff

EDIT: Oh and now that I'm 20 can I still do bounties and switch to the other sub class and earn the chunk of xp like that still? or not anymore?

It's blowing my mind that the raid actually has phases and varying fight mechanics, why the fuck does the strikes have none of that?

That's what it takes for the best gear.

If the loot system is anything like WoW, hopefully items are dropped at every boss with a chance of you getting something but not guaranteed. But console players might not be that patient and want their raid gear now. Either way works fine for me. I just like the challenge of completing it.

DDan I need to lvl up to be in this raid. Im light lvl 22 now, whats the fastest way to level?
just keep playing. in pve, earn marks for the vanguard and pvp crucible or a faction (bounties, strikes, any pvp match). equip anything you get with more light on it and upgrade everything.

Guys, really really appreciate the spoiler tags about any specific encounters or mechanics in the raid. Sincerely. Might sound stupid, but I'm personally more hyped for this than I was for the game launch itself. I'll hopefully be ready by this evening EST or tomorrow night. :)

I assume because the strikes are designed for bad players?

I did some 24 strikes last night with people who were beyond dreadful, I guess the raids are designed to avoid letting those people in, while the strikes are designed for bad players.

Strikes and pvp to get decent blue gear pretty easily

bounties to get marks and reputation that you can use to get legendary items with

Well I mean, you get shitty players in normal mmo's as well, but normal dungeon bossfights still manage to have specific mechanics and phases that players have to deal with. It's all about how hard the mechanics are tuned. A dot in a dungeon might give not be too deadly in a normal dungeon, whereas in a raid it will kill a player in seconds.

I just wonder why they didn't throw stuff like the poison cleansing mechanic into a strike or similar things instead of just damage sponging it up.

Ok I'm not getting any loot from these farming methods now. Nothing drops only ammo and some consumables.

Another new mechanic...
Eventually you lose the marked cure zones. One player gets a shield (SWAT like), puts you into 3rd person. You can attack with it. The super throws up a zone that heals marked players.
