This gun is underrated? Gjallahorn is one of the only few Exotics I have that feel like it's worth having around. Wolfpack Rounds + fast reload = lol

I have two now. Gjallahorn has saved my group from wipes in raids and other strikes. Its ridiculously over powered plus it requires very little aiming. The homing rockets plus homing wolfpacks make it ridiculous. I personally use the fast weapon ready. I love that im called upon to defeat bosses because of these rockets. Hell i can solo each portal in the raid with them.

Quick question about the Gjallarhorn. Do you need to aim down sights and wait for the lock on beep for it to track the target, or can you just fire from the hip too?

Wow.

I might try this.

How do you solo the portals? You just get warped by yourself, kill everything before you get the relic, and then melee all the oracles?

I've been telling yall how to survive Bladedancers for four OTs now, lol. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I really don't think they're all that bad.
wut, it's OP as fuck, really no question about it.

''survive it'' means that the hunter is VERY far away or he's being dumb, or that he already killed 2-3 players so you had the time to load on him 100 bullets. oh yeah, also rocket launcher.

how many times you can counter it with that? Like 1 out of 10, maybe.

Oooh this is a tricky one. Hmm. Currently it'd have to be:

Lucky Raspberry is my exotic hunter chest piece. Not only does it fill me with anti-darkness for teh levels, it also gives me some sweet extras. My arcbolt grenade chains further, and to make sure I make the most of that, I spawn with grenade energy! Starting a match? Grenade ready. Respawned? Grenade ready. Revived by team mate? You get the idea. On top of that it gives me extra heavy and fusion rifle ammo capacity which is a godsend in both PvE and PvP.

It's a very underrated Chest Piece. It also has the switch grenade glitch that is helpful for PVE.

Oooh this is a tricky one.
It is, right?! Past Gjallarhorn, felt bad not mentioning Thunderlord, which I'm not that acquainted with yet but is the Kind of Gun You Want to Know, and even my rare Void Genghis-E which has been an absolute workhorse against Minotaurs and helping out with a Queen's mission today. Even the rare Regulator I equip when using Pocket Infinity is gun I love!

Whoaaa both of those are game changers, I had no idea. damn nice piece.

When Xur brought it to me I was more excited than Hawkian with a Hawkmoon.
let's not get ridiculous now

Basically, it kicks ass!
I just have to yell WOLFPACK ROUNDS whenever I fire it. I wish I'd had them unlocked earlier for all the many times I fought Sekiron though, but oh well, next solar burn.

The only way to stop a Bladedancer is with a rocket to the face. And it has to be a direct shot. And you have to have the right angle. And you have to hope he isn't too close to you. If he is at half heath you MIGHT be able to melee him. But probably not.

Ever stop to think WHY we're asked to raid the Vault of Glass? Check this out .. from the Grimoire of course:

"Beneath Venus the Vex have constructed a massive structure that is acting as a meeting point of past, present and future. Their long-term goal is to basically unchain themselves from the constraints of a physical reality and turn themselves into a sort of epistomological computer virus in the very fabric of reality, incorporating the very IDEA of themselves into the fundamental laws of the universe. Because in this space, reality and time are starting to be altered, Oracles and Gorgons are basically quantum supercomputers that calculate reality and utilize a weaponized ontology to determine what is and is not real. This is why a Gorgon can look at you and kill you, because it simply unwrites you from existence. Oracles make changes and revisions to reality, and the Templar/Aetheon processes these calculations into existence.

The relic is the last, dying, desperate act of Kabr, a guardian who managed to send word that this was happening. He basically killed a Gorgon himself and hammered its corpse into a vessel for the Light, turning it into a shield that maintains a small space of stable reality around it. Throughout the raid, the Vex are constantly trying to separate you from it, throwing it into the past or future where it can't be used against them."

And this:
"All the guns and armor you find in the raid are the remnants of Kabr's failed raid and will give further info about their wielders and the events of the raid itself. In fact, some of the general exotics in the game once belonged to friends of Kabr too. The Super Good Advice machine gun is one such example but comes from the exotic bounties. This was crafted by a hunter named Pahanin who passed Kabr's warning about the Vault from Venus. After witnessing what happened to Kabr he became deathly afraid of being alone; he reckoned that he could only continue existing as long as someone was able to perceive him. So, to ensure that a mind could perceive him at all times he used an AI gun."

Can't wait for the Speaker's stock to refresh - hopefully then he will have my wolf cloak.

That is so cool. I've always wondered about the lore of the Vault of Glass.

Haha, all you hear about is Icebreaker and monte carlos and what not, gjallahorn barely gets mentioned. It is really good though.

As someone who primarily rolls Defender, the Gjallarhorn has been a gift from the Destiny Gods. With the wolfpack rounds, each shot is essentially a super--in fact it's probably stronger than the Titan's hulk smash. Seriously, even with two damage perks left to unlock the thing is a no bonafide evisceration machine. Have a problem? Simply wait for the beep, press the button, and poof, your problems disappear.

So, in addition to those UI suggestions posted earlier in the thread, there was a great post a week or two ago in the Destiny lore (lol) thread re: implementing more contextual info-- like those found in the Grimoire cards-- in the game itself.

Reposting from that thread:

Man, this would've solved the areas feeling so empty. Imagine walking through the hallways of Old Russia and being able to read Grimoire notes. Would've been awesome.

This is fucking amazing. Wow....

Can someone help me beat the weekly strike? I can get to the boss pretty easily, but the boss fight is a bit much for me alone.

I've been ignoring mine - thanks for the motivation to use again.

Hit level 28 after doing nightfall. All I got was shards but happy with that. One dude I was with got a legendary fusion rifle. Jelly.

All set to hit the raid properly at the weekend.
Love the weekly reset. Never seem to get bored of this game. 58 hours now.

I really hate that they have all this cool story shit hidden away and decided to go the boring generic route for the actual campaign itself. What a waste.

If all of this stuff was in the game, the reviews would have been very different.

I don't know how the leveling up works exactly, but does the jump for 27 to 28 matter much in Nightfall? Still haven't managed to beat it, but every time I've tried I've been with two other 27 people. That video about beating it solo says you will put out way less damage and take way more if you're not 28. Is that correct?

Yup.

Granted, you can still be one-shotted by the Captain's shotgun or if you get melee'd once.

Ooo! 3 favourite items!

1. Gjallarhorn Obvs. I have a raid rocket launcher too which looks quite good, but nothing beats Mr G. Horn

2. Doctor Nope It's a bit crap and that's why I love it. It's so much fun to be able to empty out a 72-bullet clip with no respite and trying to aim is it is like taming a wild horse (not that I've ever done that). It's basically a crazy person's AR.

3.Astrolord BootsFWC's legendary boots. I love the name. They sound like a stoner rock band.
