Let's keep it in the family. They should got Manu to play him. His Azog is great :)

Oh man, that'd be awesome.

I mean it'd be extra awesome if he does mo-cap for Grodd, and plays Deathstroke, because someday maybe we'd be able to get this slice of awesome in a Flash/Arrow episode.

And that's what I love about Flash and Arrow - this sort of scene seems plausible now. Slowly and surely they're building a top-level line of recurring villains in their DC universe.

All caught up.

The pilot wasn't without faults (that Ollie cameo felt a bit out of place), but it was an extremely solid premiere with pretty much the perfect tone. Grant Gustin is so damn likeable, too.

I'm in for the ride.

Edit: Oh god, that credit at the OT :lol TBH, I don't remember if I were the first person to propose "gotta go fast".

Fox still has stuff that does better numbers though so their expectations would still be higher, I was including the likely drop off that the Flash will experience as most shows do after the premiere.
It has Gotham and The Simpsons. I don't remember any other scripted FOX show getting a 2.0 or higher on their last episode so far this season.

- EW: ‘The Flash’ Casting: Victor Garber To Recur As Dr. Martin Stein
The six-time Emmy nominee has been cast as one half of the DC Comics entity Firestorm. Victor Garber will recur on CW’s superhero series The Flash as Dr. Martin Stein,
a brilliant but arrogant nuclear physicist who has scarified everything, including a marriage, for his work in transmutation. After he discovers the particle accelerator has fused him with the younger, more impulsive Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell), he races to find a way to separate the two before it’s too late.
Garber’s recent credits include Web Therapy, Power, Deception and Damages, and he earned three of his Emmy noms for playing Jack Bristow on Alias. He also has appeared in such features as Milk, The First Wives Club, Legally Blonde and Titanic. Garber, who also has four Tony nominations, is repped by UTA and Industry Entertainment.

Goddamn.

Professor Zoom is a stupid name. Reverse Flash is better. But I don't think anyone's gonna be calling him "Professor Zoom".

My bets are on just "Zoom." Professor Zoom just doesn't send very good unless he's actually a professor and it's explicitly said in the show (which I doubt)... and reverse flash sounds even worse, reverse batman, reverse superman? wut? "Stop it reverse flash, what are you doing?!" Just sounds laughably bad.

Well it all depends
on the character who's under the mask.

Also, I'm liking how crazy he's looking and moving in the pictures. Very much the way he should be portrayed.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? That's cool.

They'll probably just call him his name or "That guy"

Yeah, he seems like a nut.

Did anyone else notice
flash's costume in the newspaper? It looks brighter red and has a white emblem like in the comics.

Did anyone noticed the third headline in the paper?

Red Sky goes away? That a Superman reference? (A red sun is how you depower Superman.

They are both stupid names. Aside from a handful of characters DC never had good names. But then it matched most of their personalities too.

WOW. The show just got even better. An actor I greatly enjoy and one of the DC characters I actually gave a shit about that wasn't Batman growing up too.

- THR: 'The Flash' Finds Its Pied Piper
The Flash has found Pied Piper.

Smash alum and Chasing Life actor Andy Mientus has boarded The CW's Arrow spinoff as
the openly gay DC villain in a multi-episode arc, The Hollywood Reporter confirms. He will appear in the 11th and 12th episodes.

Hartley Rathaway, who later becomes Pied Piper and a member of the Rogues, is a genius who used to work at STAR Labs until he had a falling out with the mysterious Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), the brains and money behind the particle accelerator. Following the explosion that created the metahumans, Hartley lost his hearing but started creating sonic weapons that he uses to destroy Harrison's latest creation: The Flash (Grant Gustin).

Mientus is the latest addition to a guest cast that includes Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein, original heroine Amanda Pays as Dr. Tina McGee, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave and Clancy Brown as General Wade Eiling.

Just watched it. Loved it to bits, reminded me a lot of Raimi's Spider-Man- lots of fun and colourful. Defo watching this and Arrow weekly.

I just realized that in the Heroic Trailer, that's
Captain Cold blasting Barry with his cold gun out of costume! Does he know Barry's identity?

Hopefully Barry gets a better red next season because seeing him next to Zoom really makes the costume look kinda bland.
Only thing Zoom needs imo is for the ear bolts to be bigger(Barry as well).

Yeah, it's cool. Zoom's costume almost gives a feeling of being charred and scorched.

We got Piper, Cold, Heatwave, Boomerang, and Weather Wizard. Just need Trickster and Golden Glider and we're good. I suppose Abra Kadabra is likely to of they're doing time travel.

I liked it. And absolutely did not expect the end. Wonder how far the show will go with all that.

But Mark Hamill is already the Trickster.

havent checked the previous pages. but did anyone mention how Reverse Flase is wearing a ring? Wonder if it has anything to do with the ring Barry wears in the comics.

Controversial Theory Time:

What if Reverse Flash is actually Old Barry who was friendzoned so hard that he got blasted back through time and went totally insane?

I hope this Zoom is using the Hunter Zolomon reason for doing what he's doing from the Wally West comics.

To make a better hero, you have to break a few people

Watched it and loved it! :D
They totally hit the floor running
...I'll see myself out

Also Zoom is looking nice, and Wells is totally
Future Barry, or a speedster of the future

Enjoyed the premiere, and look forward to see where it goes.

My main reservation is the setting construct being essentially Smallville. Replace Kryptonite meteor shower with particle accelerator energy ribbon and you have the same situation. Not that I don't want super powered villains, but it runs the same risk as Smallville - monster-of-the-week used as filler or as a replacement for plotting and character development.

Hopefully the writers are up to the task and don't take the easy way out.

I know exactly what you mean, but hopefully they can move on from it. Arrow had basically the same thing with his list, but they pretty much ditched that completely before Season 1 was even over. It was a good jumping off point to display the character, but I do remember being super worried that the next 3 seasons of Arrow would be him crossing people off that list. Hopefully Flash just uses it for part of this season until they can establish their own threats for Barry.

Iris = Lana?????

Just caught up with the premiere, I really liked it. Some nice Easter eggs in there, and a lot of foreshadowing. I think this show is gonna be good!
