Another incredibly enjoyable hour. May/Ming (literally) shined tonight. The table slam was freakin great. It's fantastic to see the use of the face tech and how it's constructed. That sort of stuff is pretty damn essential in a spy agency.

Talbot has been such a fun addition to the show. I love him and Coulson's grudging.

Nah. Alexander Pierce was perfect as it was. The kind of smug politician that has charm and can convince the people to give their liberties for a sense of security and then said people would throw a parade in his honor.

Another solid episode. I like Coulson and May together on missions. Getting heavy at the end there. :(

And okay straights and lesbians, you got your 30 min+ scene of May in her neglige, we better get an all male beach episode to balance the scales. :)
 
Watching it right now, and two seconds in I see we're meeting a pastor, probably Christian. At this point, I sigh, remembering how much awful their Christian representation was in that one ghost episode but then I think, "You know what? Maybe they'll do better this time. Maybe they won't treat us like complete idiots."

Then we open up to this one dude:

Dude: Sir isn't it just enough to believe it's real?

Pastor: You know that faith is enough for us, but the rest of the world will want proof.

Or something like that.

Come on SHIELD. I get that the dude was trying to hide the markings in the first place but then the pastor had to elaborate and say "faith is enough for us". This is just frustrating. Hope the rest of the episode is better.

Completely agree. Felt like they were making unnecessary commentary in addition to setting up the plot.

Overall, a decent ep, but not as good as the last couple of weeks IMO

At least I know I'm not crazy. Anyway, agreed, good episode but a bit weaker than the last few. I did appreciate they gave us May in a sexy dress fighting May in her nightie.
 
Thoroughly enjoyed this episode, the May v May fight was really well-done but my favorite parts were the bits with May & Coulson as well as Fitz getting comfy with the others.

But the last 5 minutes, heavy stuff...

And the preview for next week... Stuff will go down. Can't wait!

I enjoyed season 1 but it just didn't make me excited or confident in anything the show was doing until the hints the last few episodes showed capable.

I get the feeling that much like with season 1, the latter half of this season will be better than the first. At least these episodes are fun and entertaining, but with the way they're splitting up the season, it's pretty obvious that Agent Carter is going to feature a bunch of back story that'll feed into the AoS when it comes back on the air. It's kind of a shame since this is exactly what happened with season 1 and how it had to kill time up to Winter Soldier.

DAMN RIGHT , DAMN RIGHT.

This episode was good . that fight was all around excellent. Fitz "moved on" and that's the best thing it could happen to him right now.

THAT Hydra threat was magnificent , now that's how you make a treat , i wasn't doubting but it makes a genuinely good vilain.

Overall i can now go to sleep knowing i 've watched a pleasant episode.

Man, this show has really been on a roll. I know its early in the season, but I hope we start getting some answers in the next few episodes. Maybe some early translation of the symbols or what Skye's father's role in all this is. Nothing that gives a clear picture, but at least something to spur some more speculation down the right path.
 
Damn, next week's episode looks intense.
And I'm happy they are (seemingly) taking the Skye's father thing forward this quickly instead of dragging it out for most of the season. Didn't really expect Skye to meet him until, like, S02E10 at earliest or something.
 
Mph, that fight scene was actually pretty well choreographed. Good job SHIELD.

I also liked the scene where Fitz bro bonded with the bros. Good job bro. Don't be alone and in the dark and lonely and sad anymore okay bro?

Very entertaining episode. I appreciate that the team banter feels much more natural this season. Trip still feels a bit superfluous but the other two new members are fitting in just fine.
