Carol can be a man's name too!

I expect the movies to be continuous as far as the main narrative goes, but Captain Marvel and Inhumans will no doubt take place before/during the events of Infinity War Part 1, and show other aspects of what's going on which will lead them right into Part 2.

Ah okay. That wait is still too long :(

So what was the rumor about Vin Diesel a few months ago? That he was going to be one of the Inhumans?

The Inhumans isn't going to be out for four years. I doubt they have casting done. They have cast the Black Panther because he's going to be in Cap 3, which is early 2016. Inhumans and Captain Marvel are both 2018, long away.

god fuck off im going to be old by the time the black panther and captain marvel movies come out

edit: at the guy above me, now sis... its still mostly white dudes. dont try it.

Wow. This superhero stuff is getting serious. The comic movie industry isn't seeing a surge, it's a friggin' tidal wave. Good. I'm on board.

So what? DC is going with diversity right out of the gate, basically, while Marvel is playing catch-up.

DC's movie history goes back quite a ways further than Marvel's. Like seriously, lets not pretend that the first three decades of DC's movie output wasn't about two white American dudes

Per the slides they showed, Ant-Man is now officially considered Phase 2, even though it's coming out after AOU.

Strange, although I think it doesn't really matter what Phase Ant-Man falls in since it seems pretty self contained unlike Cap 3 kickstarting Phase 3 and AOU ending Phase 2.

Fuck, I'm gonna get greedy. I want an Illuminati/new avengers movie. Grab Namor, replace reed and hank with someone else, and do it marvel.

They also said they aren't ready to comment on Phase 4... do they just continue to do phases until they stop making money? Or do they have an end game in mind?

Soooo is Cap 3 basically an Avengers 2.5?

Without Spider-Man or nearly the endless reach that the comic books had in pulling everyone in Marvel together, I don't see how they can pull it off on that big of a scale. (it would also be somewhat of a disappointment if it's
Iron Man v Captain America and each person has 2 heroes to their side.
)

The video game industry doesn't have shit on the movie industry when it comes to announcing things too early, it seems. Surely movies don't take that long to make?

I can see them taking a small break after Phase 3.

You would be foolish to have an "end game" for something as profitable as the MCU. You just have to not Activision it up and push people to the point where they don't care and will never care ever again

this is awesome. Black Panther will give young african americans and africans around the world a hero they can relate to. I think it's important for the kids.

Then captain marvel can do the same for females (along with wonder woman). Great job, Marvel!

You guys should be giving a shot out to that WB investor that let the cat out of the bag about their line-up or you would have probably had to wait until Comic Con for all this shit.

The only thing DC has ahead of Marvel is WW a year before Captain Marvel.

How so? All I see is Wonder Woman(2017) and Cyborg(2020). Marvel seems more diverse to me.

Aquaman? The Rock in Captain Marvel.
